Dried out skin, made it red and more pimples than before – My teenage son had a few pimples. I bought this product for him to use in the shower. He used it for 2 1/2 weeks and I’ve never seen his face as bad in my life. It’s red and peeling and he has heaps of pimples. I told him to stop using it straight away. We haven’t done anything different except use this product. I do not recommend it at all and will never buy it again. Show details

Used it for years – Very disappointed that this has been discontinued. Non greasy, easy to apply the right amount. My skin is in good condition after using, when other products are harsh or ineffective.

Perfect for MEN – Ladies, if you hate this product - still buy it, and give in to your men. They will love you more. Most men hate any cleaning product other than a cake of soap and shampoo, but explain that this is convenient, a pump or two, and smear it on his face, rub around for 5 seconds and wash off. He'll feel a totally clean, refreshed face, free of oil… Read more

and dirt.

I'm a bloke and I've tried other foaming face washes, this beats them all. Yes, it can be harsh for the ladies - but for guys, we just want a clean face.

They've replaced it now with a junk product – Johnson & Johnson have stopped selling this now and replaced it with a new version that doesn't self foam and is now a type of gel. The new product is complete rubbish. You can barely get it into a lather and it just feels slimey. Nice work J&J, you've just lost a long time loyal customer. I don't recommend this new version. Oh and it's also made in India wow!!!

Excellent product – I have been using this product for many many years and now my kids also. It cleans very effectively even with sparing use. When this is on special we always stock up. Unfortunately it has been discontinued I think. We bought the new thickened liquid replacement but noticed that it is an inferior product probably 2 stars in comparison because the… Read more

packaging is just asking us to waste and use more of it. At the moment I still have half a bottle left of the self-foaming version so can make this comparison. I am going to steer my kids to use Cetaphil or something else.

My favourite face wash – I can't live without this wash. Been using for over 4 years. Started when i was a teen then forgot about it years later. Been using it again for years. Its the only face cleanser I've ever used that leaves face feeling grease free and not over cleansed although i still need to moisturise to not have that tight skin feel. Love love love

Love this product! Can't live without it – I love this facial wash. I have oily skin and in a world were most products are designed for dry skin, I really hope this product never gets discontinued! It does the job perfectly and is the only thing that helps keep away pimples if you use it the way you should. I use it every morning and night to remove oil and clean my skin, I then use… Read more

witch hazel toner and then a light moisturiser to put good moisture back in. Sounds like the negative reviews seem to be from people that forget or don't want to use moisturiser, but don't miss this step, it's pivotal to any skin regime!

I get regular comments on my skin, that there are no pores... That's because they are clean so you can't see them!

Does it's job but has it's negatives – Cleans face well and removes oil and dirt, but can dry out face and can irritate the eyes and mouth. It stings if you get it in your eyes and it doesn't foam up as much as I expected it to once you aplly it to your face.

Excellent – It clears pimples quickly, but it makes my skin really dry. I suggest using the C&C toner and moisturizer with it. Affordable, clears pimples. Dries out skin.

OK – This product is quite affordable and generally does what it says it will but I have found that using it for too long can leave my skin less moist and more drier. I would not recommend using it every day but as an occasional cleaner it does the job better. Good for more oily skin and very easy to find in most chemists and beauty stores. The pump is… Read more

very easy to use and it foams up very easily so easy to use. Affordable, leaves oily skin clean. I would not want to be using this product daily as it can dry out skin.

Terrible – This face wash was purchased as part of a cleanser, toner, moisturiser kit designed to work together. I repurchased it after finishing the kit, but have not since then. At the time my skin was typical teenage skin with mild acne and oil. The face wash cleansed very thoroughly and removed all dirt and oil from my face, but generally left it feeling… Read more

stripped and over dry. The toner and moisturiser to be used after stung and irritated quite a lot. I continued using the face wash as I did feel it was beneficial to clearing my acne, however I later learnt that there are a lot more acne cleansers out there which work as well without over drying and irritating skin. The foaming pump dispenser is unique and fun, helps prevent acne, cleans oil effectively. Quite drying to skin.

OK – I love this, I use it every couple of days as part of my shower routine, just quickly to remove any lingering dirt and grime in the pores. I don't recommend leaving it one for more than 30 seconds as it can irritate a little, but if you use it properly it should do what it promises and lower the frequency of your blemishes. Also saps up any excess… Read more

oil on the skin and didn't dry out my skin. Decent price, keeps the skin clean, didn't irritate my sensitive skin as other products do. Often hard to find in my supermarket

Terrible – Overall a cheap and nasty product, the foam even feels very drying on skin before its applied and just made my skin red and sore. Feels very tight and made my skin dry and flaky Cheap product, helped to dry out blemishes made my skin incredibly dry and very tight and sore. In turn made my skin very angry and made blemishes worse.

Bad – I will not buy this product again, it removed the oiliness from my skin but I felt like I had just used turps or metho on my face. It gets rid of oil. Felt like my skin had been stripped, blemishes felt raw after use. Borderline painful required immediate moisturiser which I think negated the benefit of this product removing the oil.

Terrible – I really disliked this product and will never ever buy it again, I also strongly not recommend it - I got a refund for this product. It's much too harsh and left my skin feeling dry and tight and extremely uncomfortable immediately after rinsing it out with water. Ever since using this, I am always very weary of buying self-foaming cleansers now.… Read more

I did not like this. Very drying, very harsh, and just made my skin overproduce oils which resulted in more acne.

Bad – This is definately not a face cleansere for dry/combination skin. I thought it would work well on my combination skin, but it dried it out heaps and it made my face feel all tight. There's also lots of chemicals in it, and it's definatly not good for your skin if you use it heaps and heaps. I might reccomend this to someone with really oily skin,… Read more

but no-one else. No waste pump pack. It's very cheap. THere's heaps of acohol in it, and unnatural and chemical products. It really dries out your skin. It smells REALLY bad.
