I used Conroy removals Gold Coast to pick up our belongings and put them into storage and lost half my belongings , they picked up our belongings in 2 small trucks and we helped load 1 truck . But they never arrived so we lost four generations of memories photo albums , suit case full of clothes crockery , death notices papers on grand parents… Read more

from world war 1 and journal of my family tree that my late mother researched . When I rang to ask where my belongings were , I was told they were not in the truck when it arrived at the depot to be repackek into the container for storage . When I asked where are my belongings then !! .. very abruptly he told me to ring the police . I can’t sleep I from worry that my belonging are probably discarded somewhere in land fill . Very cold uncaring people , I want my belongings back

Please do not use this company. I still don’t have my things- moving from Melbourne to NZ. Uplifted on 3/10/25 I still don’t have my things 11/12/25. I paid extra for my things to be packed by them but they have been less than helpful with customs and MPI because apparently they can’t find the stuff I declared. I didn’t pack or label, they are absolute scammers- pay the extra money and use somebody else Show details

The lying thieves at Conroy Removals have had honest and truthful feedback removed from this site. Not sure who's palm they have greased, however it has only worked for them in the very short term. All that I stated was the truth, had the move gone well and without damage and theft, only praise would have been contained in the review. These people… Read more

are dishonest and light fingered, in my case to the tune of around $14,000 AUD. I have no recourse at this stage, however, I beg you all out there to please use alternative removalists. My Girard Perregaux wristwatch was stolen which was a 21st birthday present and can never be replaced. Please take advice from someone who has been defrauded by Conroy, DO NOT GO THERE!

Have just used for trans Tasman move, wish we had used another company zero accountability for our damaged items. Be careful if you pack your own box and they stack items too heavy on top it’s apparently your responsibility. I do however want to thank Trina in there Brisbane office she was a gem with helping get my motorbike sorted

little….but then our stuff turned up half sodden, broken and damaged!!!! Hundreds of books and CD's wet through and many other items broken and MOLD EVERYWHERE!

Brisbane exactly the estimated timeframe mentioned. Australia Conroy Removals kept in touch to let me know what was happening. Australia Conroy Removals communication and service was beyond. Delivery was so easy and the guys were so friendly, helpful and professional. 5 star isn’t enough for Conroy Service I wish I can give 10 out of 10. I would recommend this company to anyone who want to have peace! I have never thought that moving could be this easy, with this company it is possible.

They'll break your stuff and ignore you – We had Conroy removals move a small amount of household goods from Brisbane to Melbourne. Included in the load was an antique card table that had been in my wife's family for decades. We wrapped it and it was obvious how old and fragile it was. It arrived with one of the legs broken. the legs got broken". When I asked him how Conroy would resolve the issue, he said "speak to the office". So I wrote a detailed email to the Conroy head office. I included photos showing the table before and after. Its been several weeks I have not had a response. Really poor form.

Conroy also sent out an automated email requesting my feedback a few days after the goods were delivered. I once again explained that the table had been broken. The automated email even had a check box asking "Would you like the manager to call you?", so I ticked that box. Still have had no response.

We also had a plastic crate filled with garage items in the load, it arrived smashed with half the items missing. Someone had tried to cover the large gaping hole with packing tape, I presume to stop items falling out of the broken box. I mentioned this in my email.... still no response.

In summary, if you want to use a removalist company (who are not cheap) to move your stuff and have it arrive broken and damaged, then Conroy removals are the company for you!

They obviously don't care, won't respond and generally don't give a fook about their customers or their reputation.

AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Sydney to Perth Nov 23 – Amazing friendly and professional service. They picked up 2 x house loads of goods and only 9 days later it arrived in WA. Furniture and goods were well packed and protected. All the staff were friendly happy caring to our needs and professional. I highly recommend Conroy Removals and would definitely use them again if needed. Very happy with their service and reasonable price.

office regarding missing items, even providing a list off memory after triple checking what had arrived.. a simple "everything was shipped". That 2nd pickup seemed odd. We were not given the chance to purchase insurance, so when our dining table packed by the shipper and a cog broke, he merely stated "claim it on insurance".. Watched the delivery guys throw, stack boxes on top of each other. Little care. And yes when the broken box and cracked garden stool was spotted.. call the office was the reply. We have moved around the world with various shippers. Never experienced anything like the poor service from Conroys. Avoid!

pay these “fees”… they say it’s government and customs fees so when asked to prove this by sending something official from customs etc they say they cannot provide proof as the invoicing is purely from Conroy removals, money grabbing horrible people… my belongings have been in Australia for a month but still nothing from Conroy… horrible horrible experience!

We relocated with Conroy's New Zealand to Sydney, price was good and the process was good. Two items, a dinning room table and one of a pair of bed side tables, were misplaced though and efforts to find these were met with crickets from Phil Gordon Conroys group. Two month's had passed without any replies to mails and pleas for help. 29/4/2025 we are now starting the process with insurance to replace these.

irreplaceable items. Conroy`s took no responsibility and just handed us over to the insurers. Not a care at all and no reply to our requests. Even our own bed was missed off the inventory and only when they unpacked and we did not have a bed , did they realise it was not on the inventory list! We have since become aware of multiple items missing. Our bed arrived a week later badly damaged and had to go back to the insurers. Again when phoning Conroy`s the agent (John) just laughed about the situation. Luckily insurance covered based on photo`s , but would not recommend this ordeal to anyone.

back of their truck. Using a side ramp to the deck of the truck was a good idea but from the deck step up into the container was an issue. The aftermath: Double door fridge has scratches on the doors from moving it through tight spaces like the sliding door scraping it coming in, small bar fridge was picked up with a bear hug and moved into position, great show of mighty strength from the dude but no brain and fridge now gets condensation on the outside as the door doesn’t close properly and has started making a vibration noise. The new tool chest has a dent in the front and scratches, they used my equipment to assist them moving items. Didn’t use the box for the tv, one dude just picked it up and put in the truck, didn’t use blankets to cover or protect anything even though they were in the truck, Had plastic bags for the mattress’s, great. Bed base had tears in the material. I have used other furniture removal company’s in the past and they rip you off and do steal things without a doubt , so I thought I’d try Conroys once again and pay more money $2200 for no [Content Removed] and some ‘trust’ and ‘honesty’ but I got scratched, dented and ripped furniture instead. Very disappointed ‘ Never again ‘ will I use Conroys. Go Cheap is probably best.

Reading other reviews, we experienced all of people's concerns including over quoting on size, little regard for others belongings and missing items that put into question criminal behavior from removalists (theft or willful damage). Non existent customer service to the point of being nasty. And they don't care, a bully company.

They said they did some checks in the warehouse, but not much effort was put into it. I believe the items might have gone to another customer, but no efforts were done to try to locate them. Instead, they started blaming the Irish company (yes, they did not have enough labels, and some items were not labelled), but they fitted everything inside the container. They said they could not do anything else... I have done some overseas moves, items break, get dirty, but never I got them lost, and nowhere to be found. Fraudulent company – We asked Conroys for a quote to move our gear. The sent us a quote and said it was an estimate based on photos given for 12m3 of household goods. I sent them a detailed breakdown of volume of each item at a total volume of 6.5m3 incl allowance for packaging. final measure would be done when our goods arrived in their warehouse and a refund would be given at that time. We repeatedly asked for an inventory and final measure over a few months with no success and only got an email back after our goods had left the country stating that our volume shipped was as quoted. If that was the case it would have been impossible for the 10m3 truck that collected our gear to fit it all in, and I also a a photo of the truck half full on departure which also confirmed my measurements. After continual emails to get a refund conroys simply do not respond. Conroys is a dodgy fraudulent company that I would highly recommend staining clear of. I will continue to fight and expose this behaviour and provide updates.

and we were very impressed with how much care was given in packing our contents and bubble wrapping our furniture. Then, shortly before our container departed from Melbourne, Heather and I were equally impressed by the regular updates provided by Rita at Brytor International Moving. Later, after our container cleared Canada Customs in September 2021, the helpfulness and friendliness of Juan’s Brytor International Moving team in Calgary, Alberta was very pleasing indeed. And the movers contracted to deliver our goods from Calgary to Red Deer – Mike, Tim and James – could not have been more professional, caring and considerate. The bottom-line is that the teams at Conroy and Brytor delivered 100% on their promises and massively exceeded our expectations. And for that we are exceedingly grateful and appreciative. We would not hesitate whatsoever in recommending these moving companies very highly indeed!

Bad customer service – We had a damaged BBQ (insured) their mover checked that and confirmed damage before leaving the house and asked us to email the office. office saying we noted the part for this BBQ are available at the Amazon! I do not think that mentioned anywhere that we need to do the repair ourself and never seen such process for damage item! Plus ignoring the fact that we had a crack in ceramic part as well and not given us the instruction on how to fix that as well. I have emailed them back and expecting to get maybe a youtube link for how to repair ceramic and Amazon link to buy item and do the repair. So do not waste your money for insurance with them if they offer but try to buy additional packaging from them to secure your items. Not to mentioned our items has been packed by their mover.

golf driver shaft was broken??? parts were missing of my awning??? pelican boxes were stored on the ends instead of on there base, dreading the thought of looking into some of these cases. I ask why my pelican boxes were scratched up, there response was the containers were loaded and reloaded on multiple times. These guys had no pride in their work and I wouldn’t want to use em again or recommend Conroy for international shipments.

real colours. My move was from mel-auck. And it took 2months to arrive in nz. They rushed us to hurry to get it loaded in container. Then they hold it in their yard for almost a month then sent it. It was loaded in a 20ft in Melbourne. Arrived in a 40ft. In nz. Thats how my stuff went missing. Paid $900 for stuff to be packed and delivered. Partly unpacked and told the missus call us when to come get the empty boxes. They are the worse company to deal With. They lie thru their teeth. And watch insuring stuff with them.

find a precious solid oak antique dining table had been appallingly mauled by Conroys staff. So bad is the damage that they actually broke the joints in the table top as well as gouging, yes gouging two huge sections of the top of the table. There were at least a half dozen other damages to furnitures and appliances. If you value your things don't have this company move them.

waiting and it is now almost 7 weeks. Have received an email saying to not expect it till into the New Year. What the heck does that mean anyway. I will come back and update once i FINALLY do receive the goods and inspect if any damage has been done or items missing. At this point, I'd never use them again. However, they may make a miracle happen, and actually deliver it before Christmas as they said they would. Will they keep to their word?

Unfortunately I can't say the same about Conroy, who took care of the delivery in Australia. When they contacted me to plan for the delivery, they asked me to confirm the access to my address, as they'd had a look on Google and found it to be not visible from street level. I confirmed there were two stairs from street level down to the house.

On the day of delivery, the truck arrived with two guys, who started carrying the boxes down the stairs into the house, and my wife and I helped out inside the house. After about half the load was delivered, the guys suddenly stopped coming back from the truck.

I got a phone call from the Conroy office, telling me this delivery could not be completed for the standard fee because of all the stairs, and I first had to pay an extra 375 AUD to complete the job that day. When I asked them why, they said I had informed them there were only two stairs, but now they found these were actually flights of stairs, so it was a lot more work than they had anticipated.

Really? When you find on Google that a house is not visible from street level, and you are told there are two stairs down to the house, you interpret that as being two steps only? Of course these were flights of stairs. Even a child would have understood.

Very poor planning by the office and a very unprofessional attitude to pressurize customers halfway during a delivery to pay for it. But they clearly had no intention to continue unless I paid. After 15 minutes or so they called again, asking whether I had already made the payment. I had no choice.

Once I had satisfied their greed, they called in a third guy and completed the delivery fairly quickly. That is to say, almost. One box was missing. But it was ticked on the checklist from the office, meaning it had been in their store before delivery.

In answer to my question when I could expect the delivery of that final box, they informed me a follow-up store search had turned out negative, and they suggested me to contact my agent in the Netherlands to process an insurance claim. In other words: not our problem, goodbye.

When I hire a company, I not only expect them to do their job professionally and make me happy as a customer, but also to take responsibility if they make mistakes, and help me solve the problem. Conroy failed in both regards.

by the local company that they needed to unload our container and put it on shuttles because we live in the mountains. They wanted another $260 USD. I asked Conroy to pay for this because we paid for door to door and are not getting it. They said NO, that we have to pay it because we weren’t available the first day the shipment could be delivered. We had never heard that before. When I questioned that they said well it’s bcause of where you live. They will get every extra penny they can from you. Hold on to your wallet if you use Conroy for international household moves.

communication (although the online stuff gets me, but hey you get used to it) and the removal guys are so professional, kind and helpful. I have moved several times and used others and had awful experiences but will never use anyone else from now on :). Price wise I find them very fair and paying less can sometimes cost you more in the long run.

the helpful and professional staff packed my good quickly and efficiently in Sydney, we were then kept informed of the shipments progress at every stage via email. On arrival in New Zealand once the shipment had cleared customs a delivery date was agreed. We need a Saturday delivery due to our work commitments - not a problem.

We also moved house whilst the shipment was in transit - meaning the original delivery location had to be changed - again not an issue at all.

I have felt happy and confidant with this service at every step of the way. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has a moved plan both international and domestic.
