Great grip. Good value. Long lasting – These are my second pair of ContiPremium 2's. I was so impressed with the first set that i just bought a second. First set lasted 4 years, and that was without regular realignments. Always found them to have great grip and are super quiet. Hoping to get another 4 years out of my new set! Show details

Good tyres with zero problems after 70,000km – The 205/70 R16 ContiPremiumContact 2 tyres by Continental were fitted factory tyres but have proved a pretty good all round tyre and we got around 70,000kms of wear out of them over 3 years, we live in WA so the tar tends to get super hot on your tyres, but these have never lost traction (unintentionally) have carried our grandchildren and… Read more

ourselves around quite safely in all seasons, have hit the brakes hard in rain and never lost grip, on some road surfaces you do get some noise but usually quiet enough, for their cost I think they are a good safe, well wearing tyre.

Partial racing and tires lasted well – Bought a brand new Polo Beats edition fitted with 215/45 R16 Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 tires. After 42,000km over the course of just under 2 years I’ve not had any major issue with the tires. Drawbacks are on some surfaces the wheel noise can get somewhat loud if you have no music playing as well as losing grip to a minor degree in wet… Read more

weather on more acute angle turns.

Have not had a problem with the tires besides the current wear of the front pair (both rear tires are still close to perfect condition), rightfully so as my car is front wheel drive. I might add however I have done in excess of 1000km’s of pushing the car to around 70-85% limits on a race track where I’d get the tires to the point of screeching on many turns.

Maybe at around 35,000km launching my car started getting more noticeable wheel spin due to the lack of grip. However I believe they’re a great set of tires.

Absolutely appalling – Will never buy continental tyres again. I bought 205/55 r16 premium contact two tyres and the price was $220 a tyre and was told they were a good tyre. I put them on my wife's little hatch back which only goes to the shop and school etc. I rotated them after 5000 kms and totaling 20 000 kms later the tyres are completely worn with wire showing on… Read more

Do Not Buy These Dangerous Tyres! – Warning: Save your money. Do not buy these useless, pathetic tyres. 17,000 klm of normal driving at correct pressure & these tyres are bald! Very noisy. Very rough. Selling rubbish tyres like this must surely be a criminal conspiracy? I will never buy Continental tyres ever again. Rating: Zero! (These crap tyres were fitted to the car when I bought it).  Show details

Good grip, poor mileage – Good grip, poor mileage. I got over 80,000kms out of my Dunlops but Id be lucky to get 40,000kms out of these Continentals. The grip was consistent throughout the life of the tyre in both wet and dry conditions while my Dunlops lost traction during harsh acceleration in the wet towards the end of the tyre life. Personally I won't be purchasing… Read more

Continentals again as they are poor value for money but if you can afford them they are slightly safer.

Good ride, nice steering response, great grip. Could be quieter – These tyres were fitted as replacements for original fitment Nexen tyres. I have had Continental brand tyres before and have been quite happy with them, and these are no exception. Steering response and highway stability are great. General grip levels are excellent. Ride quality is a little on the firm side but that probably helps with… Read more

directional stability.

Quietness is only OK - they are not noisy, but they aren't any quieter than the cheap Nexens they replaced.

I can't comment on how they will last, but based on previous Continental tyres I've had they probably won't last quite as long as some other brands, but that's a compromise I'm willing to make.

Good value, good grip! – I had no idea how big of a difference tyres could make! After having these fitted I knew. When it rains the proved grip is remarkable. They are very good value for money and they look rather good too! Can highly recommend these tyres, they are very durable and provide you with a comfortable drive. Show details

Excellent Tyres – These tyres came fitted on my Nissan Pulsar when I bought it. I bought it new, and have just clocked 70,000km with them. I never had a drama with the tyres at all. Only con with them is that they are expensive to replace. But worth the money!!

Trusted brand for awesome handling, grip , grooves, and size – Good handling. Awesome on rainy days on Australian tarmac. Superb grooves. Trusted brand, always. No complaints. Good grip on tarmac. Premium contact 2 – I have used these tyres For 71000 km and still had some meat left to run another 5000k the only reason for giving it a 4 star is that it did tend to loose grip during sudden breaking which was a let down. Nice tyres with low road noise! – I have previously written about the Pirelli tyres fitted to my W203 series C class Mercedes and my complaint was that while the tyres handled and wore well, I found them to be excessively noisy. I have recently replaced those tyres with a set of Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 tyres. Obviously only time will tell how well they wear, but they… Read more

handle beautifully and they are quiet in that they generate low road noise, yea! If you drive a Mercedes and you look in the back of your Owners Manual (or is it the Service Booklet?) the "delivery docket" will tell you what make of tyres was fitted when the car rolled off the assembly line - this is my third C class and they have all been fitted with Continentals. Perhaps there is a lesson here? That lesson would be "stick with the manufacturer's recommendation", especially if you drive a Mercedes and are annoyed by excessive road noise!

I purchased these tyres on-line from Tempe Tyres in Sydney and they came freight free to me in Central Victoria for a little over $100 each which is about $30 each less than I could buy them for here!

Great tyre / Great Mileage – Fitted to my Ford TF Kuga, just about to replace them after 52,000km. Very good road holding with minimal noise however as they near the end of their life with just under 2mm of tread they are starting to get a little noisy. Handle off-road conditions with ease. By far the best tyres have used.  Show details

The worst tyres on my car to date – Bad quality which is surprising for Continental. Lots of noise and just terrible in the wet. Try and accelerate in wet conditions and just wheelspin without trying. Just used to slide in wet conditions around roundabouts to the point where I had to slow down to half the speed you would normally negotiate a wet roundabout in. The car is in great… Read more

shape, geometry all perfect, never been in an accident, all steering in suspension tested and all good. So definitely not the car.

Had a blowout about half way through the life of this set and never seen a tyre fall apart like this. Maybe a bad batch but I will never buy Continental again.

Just replaced with new set of Bridgestone ER300 Ecopia's and a world apart on quality and feel.

The Conti's never felt right from day 1. The car came with this brand and model of tyre from the factory so you would have thought they suited the car. How very wrong....

Good performance, low mileage – Tyres are fantastic when new, absolutely more quiet compared previous Hankook ones. Also, good performance in wet and dry conditions. HOWEVER, after only 20,000 kms, maybe 22,000 kms, it has already been worn out. It is unbelievable. I mean, I do not drive on roads with terrible conditions. MOREOVER, only front tyres are wearing that fast!!! The rear ones are good as new! Not sure if it is the problem of fitting of Bob-Janes.  Show details

OK tyre but poor mileage – These were factory fitted on my wife's Ford Fiesta. We live in a country town and drove mostly on Highway roads so I am disappointed that at just over 15,000 km's, the front drive tyres have reached the wear indicators. The back set however are like brand new (no rotation of tyres obviously). They drive well in the wet and dry and don't seem to be… Read more

overly noisy. The Tyrepower rep did indicate the Conti's are a softer compound (good grip) but do wear quicker because of it. Not sure if I'll get these again.

Best mileage ever! – I am still amazed at the life I've got out of these tyres. Factory fitted to my Civic Hatch, they have done 77,000km and wear evenly with regular rotation, they are only just on the wear indicator now. I'll push them to 80,000km (they'll do that easy) and then I have another set ready to go on. For a front wheel drive small car I expected 40,000 or so and they'd be worn out, not these tyres! Couldn't recommend them enough for a small car.  Show details

Perfect Tires For Summers – I have a Honda Civic 2013 in Pakistan. I replaced OEM tires with these tires and had good experience despite not so good road conditions. I have driven them 27000 KM so far and tread appears to be in good shape. Seems still 30,000 KM more to go at least.  Show details

Absolute Rubbish – Don't waste your money! We had these tyres on our 2012 Nissan Dualis Ti-L factory fitted it had done less then 30,000km's when the tyre blew out whilst doing 100km/h for no apparent reason, tyre pressure monitoring system never went off so the tyre wasn't losing air before this happened. Great all weather tyre – Came fitted on my new car and found them to be a great all rounder tyre that gives great dry and wet performance. Well priced for what they offer though wear is not that good but… Read more

I would rather have a higher wearing tyre that offer great dry and wet grip than a tyre that offers longer life and lower grip levels.

Pros: Great grip in wet and dry conditions.

Cons: Higher wear compared to other brands.

So far so good – These tyres were fitted to my 2013 fiesta from new and as of now, I have done 12,700 klms and have not noticed any wear at all. Some people are saying that they have had sidewall failures and have gotten less than 20,000klms out of them, but from what I've read, most of them were low profiles as in 45s. I do not know why this is, but to go down in… Read more

profile size and up in rim size would probably bang a bit if the suspension is not set up for that profile, not to mention keeping the wheel alignments up to them. Mine are 1.85-55-15s and they're not too bad at the moment. A bit rough on certain types of bitumen but i'll have to wait a while to see if they get any worse. I don't drive that hard, but they seem to be ok in the wet. I've had one alignment and had them rotated and looking at them they should do between 60 and 80,000klms. Comfort factor is acceptable. At $145 a throw, I can get Khumos cheaper and they do ride better because I've had them before.

I've replaced three already! – We have a Nissan Dualis Ti-L 2012 FWD. These tyres were factory fitted and we have had our third sidewall failure in less than 40,000 kms. We've spoken to Jax Quickfit and they claim it's wear and tear. Continental on other hand won't even return our calls. All failures have been on the front wheels. I've given up on these tyres and I'm waiting on the rear to wear so that I can replace them all with a new brand!

Rubbish..don't waste your money – Had these on a Jeep Patriot as supplied at manufacturing, wear visible after 15,000km & continued balance, alignment & rotation. Too soft unless you're driving on brand new roads. Nice & quiet but doesn't make up for the quality. After 32,000km I've given up & have already needed to put a spare on.

Very ordinary service and product – I bought 4 new Continental PremiumContact 2 Tyres and had a blow out on one of the tyres whilst travelling at 100k/h. Well of course the tyre was driven on whilst flat when it blows out when driving at 100k/h, as you do need time to stop the vehicle. Jax quickfit tyres were helpful and communicative Continental have poor reasons and take forever in their processing

Very content with ContiPremiumContact 2 – I fitted four 215/60/R16 Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 tyres to a Toyota Aurion AT-X in April 2011 and have done about 7,500 km since then (the previous 55,000 km were on Dunlop SP300E tyres that are reviewed elsewhere on this site). quick car that is light and precise through corners: the engine and transmission are well matched and coupled with good suspension and brakes.

The ContiPremiumContact 2 tyres have performed extremely well over the last four months. The Aurion feels very stable on gravel as well as bitumen and in both wet and dry conditions. The ride is smooth and extremely quiet - and essentially silent on smooth bitumen. The Aurion can put a lote of power to the front tyres but I have never had any wheel spin at launch, even on worn asphalt in the wet.

I'd absolutely recommend these tyres for a passenger vehicle, even though I'd never heard of Continental before they were suggested to me. Great tyres for an Aurion AT-X The Germanic tendency to run words together?

Ride is pretty smooth if very slightly bumpy. Steering is very nice and holds a straight line.

Only downside is they are certainly not so good in the snow as some previous tyres - eg Pirelli P6. P6 however needs constant adjustment on the motorway (jiggly) Feel on the Contis is great. Excellent grip all round in both dry and wet Not so good in the snow.
