Cover-More Travel Insurance

Due to unforeseeable circumstances, we had to cancel our trip due to medical reasons. We had all the necessary information and paperwork. Lodging our claim was really easy. The process took hardly any time at all. We have been really happy with the outcome. We will certainly use Cover-More when we rebook our trip. my doctor) was also somewhat confusing (hence 4 rather than 5 stars), but once I realised what info was actually required it was relatively easy to supply electronically (I very much appreciated not having to send hard copy by post etc.). When more information was needed, it was easy for me to understand what was being sought and to supply same.

The matter was resolved within the time frame as per Cover-More's undertaking, and I am of course happy that my claim was paid in full.

We recently went on a cruise where we had several missed ports due to extreme weather. I contacted Cover-more on our return, gave them our policy number and was advised we could claim for missed ports. They even told me how to calculate the claim. weeks I was advised we werent covered for missed ports. When i questioned why i was told we could, and now being told i couldnt and asked why the conflicting information i was bluntly advised again we werent covered. Other passengers also had the same experience, told they could claim then rejected. 1 passenger was even put through getting documentation on missed port pricing, then denied. The rating is not for the denied claim, if we werent covered then we're not covered. It is for the unprofessional way it was handled. Being told we could claim, and even how to work out claim amount then denied. And the wasted time for the other passenger getting information, even being told " we can only pay out if we have the amounts for each port from your travel agent" who were then after 6 weeks of going back and forth denied

to hospital. I needed an operation but because it was Xmas holidays no one was available but I was put in a special brace until I got home. When I returned home I had to find a surgeon , I got operated on 13th Jan. 17 days after the accident. I know the claim would be accepted if I was operated on in NZ but no one was available at the time. Trying to contact help through the app was very difficult & not successful.

I will definitely use Cover-More again. The policy seemed expensive at the time but it is now good value considering the outcome of my claim. It took 8 working days for the claim to be processed. We have used Cover-More four times now when travelling overseas.

I had a bad fracture of my little while on a cruise to Fiji. I sent the claim in and within 1 day I received a claim number and in 6 days I received an email and phone call to advise me that my claim had been approved and expect my refund in my bank within a few days. Cover-More paid us the amount of our losses except the amount of the credit. We then cancelled the credit and Cover-More paid us the amount of the credit. We are delighted with this result and have insured with Cover-More for our trip to the Kimberley and the NT.
