Creative MuVo TX FM

Bad – The size and fast capability to add new songs is an excellent attribute while there are a couple of major downsides. It runs on one AAA battery, meaning it has to be constantly changed. Turning the mp3 on and of more than a couple of times wears the battery down immensely. One downside of the design is that you must flick a switch in order to skip… Read more
tracks etc, which can become quite annoying. Another downside is the fact that when wanting to listen to a song in a different folder, you must flick the switch to navigate to the folder the track is situated in, changing the song you are listening to, to that of the first song in each folder. You are unable to listen to one song while browsing through your other songs. Overall, the size is a definite plus but the functionality and design is a definite downside. Small, lightweight and compact Inability to view all folders on one screen (must flick through each- changing the song you are listening to)
Excellent – I've had my 512meg version for approx 2 years. Used daily at work in an environment where it has got wet from rain, received light blows and occasionally caught up pulling the USB part from it's body, I can say that it takes more punishment than others I have heard about. I like the fact it takes an AAA battery, and even the cheap Coles Reliance… Read more
brand lasts me approx 12hrs.
I mostly use it for the FM tuner which does well with reception and doesn't pick up machinery interference Small, good screen, great lasting quality and a exceptional FM tuner, have to hold button to switch off avoiding accidental swtich off No mute button.
Excellent – Great little unit that allows me to practise my ballroom dancing while easily listening to tracks. Light enough to put in my front shirt pocket. Haven't had an issue with the supplied headphones (had the unit for approx. 1 and a half years now). Plenty of memory for me 512MB. For someone who isn't looking for a large colour screen I'd rate this as… Read more
one of the best. Nice little screen that displays enough information
Small size
Easy to use buttons and navigation
Battery life is good. Very good with a lithium battery Neck strap is not very usefull as gets tangled easily with headphones
Excellent – Love this overall that after I upgraded to the Creative m, I gave this unit to my father who in turn uses it almost everyday when he is in the garden. Size and the fact that it runs approx 15 hours on one battery Useless headphones. Worth upgrading to better ones
Good – In a sentence I love it! This was my first MP3 player, and whilst it has a small amount of memory it's great for me. The FM radio is brilliant, and the quality of the sound is perfect. The earphones are great, but unfortunately mine had a small issue with them. After replacing them it's perfect! You might wanna go pick up some cheap $5 ones… Read more
from your local dicksmith store :)
Another great feature is the ability to chuck any file onto the mp3 player - so you can store your work on there as well as your music!
Check this one out, a very nice player! Small and portable
Great USB support
Works with Vista
Nice bundled software - and it's not required Flimsy earphones :(
Excellent – Love it. 1 Gig means I have to occaisonally change the music on it, but that's a minor issue. I hope Creative come out with larger versions soon (and fix the issues above). PRO TIP: When powered, it goes into either -drive or -player mode. If connected to a PC, it goes into player mode automatically. You can then 'eject' it, and it will… Read more
continue to draw power and so switch to -MP3 mode. From there you can navigate to FM mode and run a 3.5-to-AV cable to the Audio In on your sound card, and then listen to FM radio on your PC's speakers. While it is bulky for a (modern) 1 Gig flash player, this is due to the choice of it running on a AAA battery, which makes up for the bulk by the option of carrying a spare and even buying a new one if your rechargables run out. Battery life seems great, but running off non-rechargables would be expensive (and environmentally sinful), so if you don't have a recharger factor that into the price.
The FM radio is as good as headphone-arial units get, and the option to record off it is nice.
The interface is near-intuitive, and the menu is intelligently arranged to the point I rarely need to look at what I'm doing.
Volume goes to 25, and the manual suggests not listening to it above 20.
As it is also designed as a USB-Key, you may be able to get a partial tax-deduction. You do not need to carry around cables or hope that some-one has iTunes, you can just copy a file from any PC onto it. The USB-Key portion is wide at the end, meaning it may not fit in all laptops. Voice-recording is such low quality that I don't use it anymore. The supplied headphones look good but only lasted around nine months. There is a limited length to displayed tracks' titles, so if you go for an artist-album-song naming scheme you won't be able to see what song is playing.
Good – Not an iPod competitor but so what? A neat solution for a range of needs. Neat design in small package; useful storage for many purposes; very easy to use thanks to direct plug-in, drag-&-drop, USB 2.0; Mac compatible; excellent sound; easy to use; solid state; handy portable file memory. No FM tuner; screen hard to read; can't fast forward/search within tracks, which is a pain if you listen to audio books with large tracks.
Good – It is small and compact and easy to use. It has great volume and the strap that comes with it makes it easy to carry. Small and easy to use.
