Verbally ABUSED like many others – I emailed for a quote/menus since their website is so terrible and provides no information, and I was immediately abused by live chat. I was told to get real, I was called "a dog" and told I was wasting their time. And then to go f*** myself. Goes without saying to AVOID like the plague. Horrific. Not surprised they have been liquidated many times.

"Shut up and Listen!" – I called to confirm a price and when I asked a question I got told to "Shut up and Listen!" When I asked if that is what he said, he replied 'yes I'm extremely busy goodbye and hung up." Would definitely not risk a booking with this company!

100% agree that this company shouldn't be used. Thy call themselves cheap catering. I took a photo of the screen because I couldn't believe how quickly the profanity escalated and wished I could put it up for everyone to view.

My experience was pretty much the same as a lot of other reviews not just here but other review sites. I guess im one of the lucky ones who didn't forward any money (i even cancelled my card to make sure of it!) I had arranged for a deposit to be taken out of my account and had an unpleasant time cancelling my order and deposit payment.

The calls were rushed, I was yelled at, called a dumb wench, dumb moron, and asked if i was deaf. I was told that he didn't have time for my crap? (Confirmation of cancellation)and that my services were not needed....hang on!? I (was going to be) the customer? It wasn't until i was given a different email to the original one that i was corresponding with that alarm bells rang and i made the connections and did the research. Feast on 493 delicious pieces of chef-prepared finger food including garlic prawn skewers, gourmet party pies, flame-grilled Italian meatballs, sun-dried tomato and olive rolls to mention only a few of the courses provided. caterer and my friends are well abreast of quality food and service, so the feedback below sent alarm bells ringing. But what could we do !!

We took a basic food package that was advertised on “Living Social” together with a staff person to prepare the food. We were lucky enough to have Sylvia work our function. She called an hour before arrival to confirm that she was on the way, was well organised and presented when she arrived, and was very professional throughout. It was a delight to have Sylvia join the party for a drink and chat after she had cleaned the kitchen immaculately.

The food was great and without a doubt, enough to completely fill the 30 adults plus kids that attended.

As guests left our home, each commented on how good the catering had been. Crown Catering truly made our day an enjoyable success, taking much stress and pressure of my wife, me and family who would have otherwise have been roped into preparing and serving.

We did not do desert through Crown Catering, but if you live on the North Shore, the petis fores from Ganache Patisserie at Castlecrag went down a treat.

This is the first time that I have ever posted feedback of any sort on a public forum, but felt compelled to do so in order to counter-balance the postings below. I would highly recommend Crown Catering and would encourage you to enjoy your next party with them, rather than doing all of the running around yourself. This is genuine feedback.

Cheers very professional service from booking the event, right through to servicing the party. The food was of excellent quality, plentiful and exceeded our expectation. catered food prepared in a commercial kitchen is never going to be 5 star restaurant quality, so if 5 star restaurant quality is what you require, you should perhaps look to a different catering service.

Worst customer service! – I have never experienced such a foul mouth and rudeness! Swore at me and then put the phone down on me ! Twice as I didn't realise it was the same company! When I tried again later on in the day!

Absolutely shocking!!! – I feel like I'll just be repeating what everyone else said here. The man swore at me, screamed at me, and then hung up on me.. all while calling me stupid repeatedly. Such a shame no one wrote a google review, I just did, and encourage you all to, too! That way people can see that ugly one star rating before calling!!

Rudest Man I've Ever Spoken Too – Sent a request for catering and Didn't get a response so we called the number and spoke to a man whom said we are full and can't do any more orders, after saying well it would have been nice to have a response that you were full the man replied "I don't give a damn" this company I will never use again absolutely disgusting.

Swore at me when I asked him to hold on while I got a pen! – They are also known as Finger Food 4 You - BEWARE! These guys are DODGY. I don't think they are actually a real business. the phone so quickly I couldn't grasp all of it. Some of the prices were different to the website quotes so when I asked him to hold on while I got a pen so I could write down the quotes (seeing as he doesn't send quotes) he swears at me and hangs up!

I was shocked, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and rang again. I asked him if he hung up on me. He admits he did and swears at me for wasting his time. Swearing at potential customers over a pen - my gosh! I told him that there was something wrong with him and hung up.

So here's the TWIST! I then called Crown Catering thinking they were a different company - same guy. Tells me to go away. I honestly don't think this is a real business as I don't understand how they get customers when they abuse you when you call them.

Maybe they are like a drug dealing company or money laundering business.

Whatever the hell is wrong with them BEWARE!

Dodgy – I telephoned to enquire about booking them. Total low life of a man running the business. Do not use unless you want to lose money or be abused – The man answered the phone in a rude manner. He then was short and rude during conversation. When I mentioned all the negative reviews on the internet I am not using this company, but can only assume from the phone experience that most of the terrible ratings are probably correct.

Wow never been sworn at before – I just called the number and a rude man answered. I was having problems with hearing him due to phone reception. I also met with the manager [name removed] who was in charge of the marquee quotes and set up. We confirmed all our menus and marquee size at the venue, which we were happy about. Since then the service got better and I was feeling happy about using them.

I had been paying a bit off here and there so so were not going to be hit with $6000 in one go right before the wedding. On the 25th August I received an email from them which confirmed all our event requirements. They had everything right (finally) so I rang their 1300 number to make another payment but an automated message answered telling me the number was out of service. I tried calling the after hours mobile but received no answer either. I kept trying a few times throughout the morning, but around lunchtime I had a very bad feeling...

I went onto their website and lodged an enquiry telling them how furious I was that their service has gone terrible again! About 10 minutes after pressing send I received an automated email back from another catering company telling me "Crown Catering have gone out of business and disappointed many clients". I cried! They were supplying the marquee, 3 staff, food, drinks, crockery, glassware... basically our whole wedding!

I then had to call my fiancee and let him know. He got straight onto finding out how we can get our money back as we have paid them $1500.

I was appalled when we received the paperwork to lodge our claim. On the top of the page it said they had gone into liquidation on the 13th August... by the email we received confirming all our details for our wedding was sent on the 25th!!!

Since then we have found other companies who have done their best to supply us a marquee, staff, food and drink for our wedding, but unfortunately they were not able to match it exactly. So we are not only out of packet the $1500 but the difference between the different companies quotes.

Nearly ruined our wedding – I am still waiting and will probably never hear from these people again but enjoy the read! I can't say how disgusted we are!! we had to call someone (had it been tested this would have been noticed)

- Wrong beverage (beer and Fanta) delivered

- No soda water delivered, I had to ask Shane to organise this AGAIN

- My husband and I had to set up the Beverage/RSA tent. Attach sides, move tables and dress them

- Had to call to remind that we needed two 4 metre poles for the marquee

- 5 chairs had to be replaced due to damage or dirt

- 4 cocktail tables sent back due to same as chairs

- 4.20pm on our wedding day Chef comes up to ME and asks where the ice is (10mins before beverages were supposed to be served)

- Guests served white wine with ice in it

- Heineken and Crown lager served instead of beer we asked for (this was obviously bought to give our guests some cold drinks while they waited)

- Cold beverages not ready until 5.45pm

- Main canapés served at entrée time of 5pm

- Husband and I missed out on the beef rolls that we specifically asked to have extra of

- There were no prawn skewers or thai beef noodle boxes served at all

- Tandori chicken did not have yoghurt on top and the chicken was very salty

- The wedges were served on a platter with the sweet chilli sauce in a plastic chinese container with a dismal amount of sour cream. Should have been in the boxes already as per menu

- We were late to leave for our photos because I was running around trying to get cold drinks sorted on MY wedding day

- When we got back from our photos at approx. 6.10pm there was no food ready for us and we had to wait until 6.40pm to get some luke warm food. We were to enter the reception at 6.30pm

- Nelson was seen to be doing more eating and drinking our beer on the lounge than anything else

- All of the rubbish was left for us to dispose of

- The alcohol consumption is not correct

Don't use Crown Catering! – We booked a wedding marquee and furniture for our wedding in October 2012, I've been trying to contact them to re-confirm the details and have not heard back for 6 weeks. They've already taken our deposit and now I can't see us getting that back. Terrible service and it looks like they've been taking bookings after they knew of their financial position. a phone number to call (ASIC had told us last week they were not in liquidation). The liquidators have told us that Crown owe a lot of money to their staff and the chance of us getting our money back is slim to none.

not even picking up the phones!! – I am really worried now.....I have them booked for our wedding in November and have recently found them to be extremley slow in responding to me....Have been waiting for a tasting date for months now. Ruined my son's party! – I ordere the spit roast deal and they confirmed the 6pm delivery the week before. They didn't show up at all. We had no food had to ring pizzas and I still haven't heard from them or have been able to get onto them,I need my money back.Its a nightmare :-( Everything.They let us down they didn't show up we had no food or drink!

Worst Catering Company in Sydney! – Crown Catering is a dodgy company. They use all frozen pre-packaged food bought from a food supplier in Sydney. They thaw the frozen food when they need to do a catering event. they tell you that they will send a chef out to cook the food for you but you dont get a chef. they hire random people to go out and do these events.. Terrible company, stay away!

I think they have gone broke, do not use – Ordered 2 corporate functions and they cancelled both without warning. I thought they had double booked, but I find out they were just trying to get mony. I am still trying to get a refund, 3 months now. I suggest not to use them or definatelly do not pay them untill they turn up or you will end up in a great mess like we did.

Didn't Even Show Up – Had them booked for my engagement party last weekend, booked months in advance, they even called to confirm a week before then they didn't even show up! Tried calling only to find their number was disconnected! Leaving me 20mins to find food for 50! Luckily my bridesmaids and some guests saved the day by helping me run around Coles and throw a few things together! Would have been nice to at least be notified.

When I complained and asked for refund (which Crown's staff had promised) we ended up with multiple calls/e-mails, no replies and over 2 months later a cheque for less than was agreed! The firm still has not had the courtesy to apologise.

Very happy with the food, the quantity and their staff were so much fun, they really put so much effort and I have to say, it is rare to get such a nice service these days.
