Pros: Reliable, good for the environment, good for baby's skin.
Cons: The bamboo liners take several days to dry.
Overall: I got a full time pack of Chameleons for my son and being a summer baby, most days he gets around in one of the cute designs and a singlet or t-shirt.
Our baby has sensitive skin but in CT he has never had any nappy rash or irritation.
However if he spends a few days in disposables (if it's wet weather and my Chameleons aren't dry) he starts to get red and I need to put creams on him.
We find CT chameleons hold more than disposables, especially when it comes to poosplosions.
People think using cloth you need to soak or scrub pooey nappies but CT nappies just go in to the washing machine in a normal wash.
Using cloth we are not adding to landfill by constantly using disposables.
Everyone comments on how cute the Chameleon designs are and asks me about switching their baby to modern cloth nappies too.

Pros: Comfortable, no leaks, poo barrier, lovely prints, fantastic customer service
Overall: I ordered my first Chameleons when they were on sale for my 9 month old heavy wetting, poosploding baby girl. When they arrived I was very impressed with the poo barrier on the insert - I haven't had the chance to test it on poos yet, but I think they will do wonders. I haven't had a problem with leakage at all - I can leave my baby in one of these nappies for 4 hours with no leakage. They also don't leave red marks around my babies chubby thighs. The only problem I had with these nappies was that there was a small amount of fabric edge that wasn't caught under at the hem. When I contacted Cushie Tushies they immediately sent out a replacement and asked that I send back the faulty one. Fantastic! I bought them off a third party so this kind of service is exceptional. I am very pleased with these nappies and think I will have to buy more to increase my ever expanding stash...

Pros: Cute designs, great absorbency with no leaks, great value, great customer service
Cons: Buying Cushie Tushies is addictive and I got in trouble off my husband for wanting more :-)

There are so may cute designs and they feel nice when I cuddle my little boy too - I could pat his little minky bottom all day! During the recent hot weather i have just been dressing him in a singlet with his Cushie Tushie, and i keep getting stopped with comments on how cute his nappies are.
They look so comfortable for him to wear - he used to get horrible red marks where the elastic dug into his skin when he wore disposables, but not with the Cushie Tushies.
My son is an extremely heavy wetter, and these nappies have been up for the challenge. Since we started using the Chameleons, we haven't had a single leak - not even a dreaded poo-splosion!!!
These are trimmer than the previous MCNs i used and i find he fits into all his clothes just as easily as he did when wearing disposables.
The customer service I have received has been second to none and is a credit to them. It's a shame there aren't more great Aussie companies out there like Cushie Tushies!!!

Pros: Reliable and trustworthy. No leaks, just like before:) I also found them a little less bulky which is a bonus!
Cons: can't really fault them at all!
Overall: I find the new Chameleon as reliable as the old couture! Its taken place as another very trustworthy nappy in my stash!
I've been through a whole pack of the biodegradeable disposable inserts without one issue. Although it isn't the most cost effective way to do things its certainly a very convienient option we now have. I;d rather these inserts over disposables any day! Love that they compose in under 50 days. awesome.

Overall: I am brand new to cloth nappies and I am soooo happy to have made the change! my son is 5mths old and i recently went to the Baby Expo and stumbled across the Cushie Tushie stand! Id never even thought about cloth nappies but the beautiful bright patterns lured me in :) The staff were so incredibly helpful and patient! I knew nothing about modern cloth nappies so I had many questions and the ladies I spoke with were brilliant!
I have been using them now for 3 weeks and I am thrilled to bits with them! My baby is a heavy wetter and I have had no leaks at all! The poo fence is awesome too! I was worried about explosions up his back but so far its caught it all!!
He is a chubby boy (95th percentile) and they fit him so well! I was concerned they would dig in around his waist and thighs but they fit like a dream as they are adjustable! I have just bought another 6 of them! The prints are adorable!

Pros: super cute!, inexpensive, absorbent, soft for my sons bottom, saving the environment! :)
Cons: wasnt a fan of the bunching up where the minky meets the outside snaps- but doesnt interfere with absorbency
Overall: i HAD to pre-order the apple print Chameleon as soon as i saw it on facebook the first time! Im a Cushie Tushies fan ever since i bought his first one :) When we recieved it and used it on our son i could tell it met my expectations, and nice and absorbent like his gorgeous blue dots and candy cane print!
Its on VERY regular usage now in my sons mcn stash. Super cute and absorbent, easy to put on our son too, even for my velcro loving partner, i think ive converted him ;) what else could we ask for in a nappy!! :)

The Chameleon modern cloth nappy is a truly adaptable nappy – it changes and adapts to the needs of a growing baby and busy lifestyle!
The Chameleon is the latest innovation from Cushie Tushies. Our unique 'hybrid' design can be used with Cushie Tushies cloth absorbent boosters or our Chameleon Singles biodegradable disposable absorbent inserts. The Chameleon outer cover is made from a plush outer layer of minky, a full layer of waterproof, yet breathable polyurethane laminate (PUL), and an inner lining of low-allergenic stay-dry microfleece.
When used as a full cloth nappy, The Chameleon comes with two absorbent boosters made from a seriously thirsty bamboo/cotton blend and topped with a stay-dry microfleece. The large booster snaps into the inside front of the cover and has elasticised gussets, which, when combined with the elastic leg holes of the nappy cover, provide double the protection from leaks and poosplosions! The nappies last 3-4 hours between changes during the day, whilst the stay-dry lining helps draw the moisture away from baby's skin.
The Chameleon's One-Size-Fits-All design has been tested on boys and girls from newborn to toddler with great success.

Hi, I've got a baby due soon and we're looking disposable vs. cloth, at the moment cloth insert cushie tushies are high on our list based on your reviews. I'm just wondering if you were happy with the cloth insert ones or did you all use the disposable inserts? also is this the brand you would recommend or something else? we looked at the disposable inserts as well but it turned out more expensive than disposables.

Hi dunx - I have. 10 mth old boy and have been using CTushies for 6 mths and they are a good quality cloth nappy. I only use the cloth inserts, I have a packet of the disposable inserts but have only used them once! They were too long for the shell and didn't like them! When I first started using clog, cushie tushie were my fave but I must admit I am starting to favour one of the competitors instead as they are a lot slimmer! CTushies are great but very bulky under clothes, jeans are almost impossible!
