Dell Streak 5 (2010)

Could be improved – I like this phone but I cannot say I would recommend it to anybody. With newer phones such as the S3 and Note 2 they completely outmatch this phone in every way. The phone is quite slow and sluggish, has old version of android (2.2, and while it can be upgraded to 2.3, Dell make it quite difficult to do if you don't have a rough idea what your doing) the camera is not very good at all and battery life is ok. My phone (might not be the case with other streaks) does crash very often, almost once a day if used enough. But onto the better things... The case and design is very nice and feels very good quality, the old android version does have a very good UI with the Dell stage over it, but is quite slow. The camera has dual LED lights which can be used as a flashlight and does offer pretty decent light but does sap battery power. The phone also comes with a 16gb micro SD which is nice. The best thing though is the size, for me it is perfect 5 inches is the perfect size to use as a small tablet or a phone so it is really flexible in that way. So in conclusion I would not recommend buying this phone because of more powerful and reliable alternatives, maybe when it came out it was considered better but now it is unreliable and slow. I think it's a brilliant piece of design but has been ruined, if dell made a streak 2 i think it would be a great phone/tablet (phablet) Torch flexibility, perfect screen size, design is great and feels quality, does have dual cameras, Dells Stage skin on the 2.2 platform looks good. It's made by dell and it's not mainstream so your buying something a bit different. Slow, crashes a lot, camera is bad, battery life is not flash, stuck in the dark ages with old android version, media is not loud and I have to turn it up all the way to hear is properly.

Loved this Phone – Best Phone ever..If only OPTUS did not give up on it I would of got a new one. Better than any other phone I have tried. Reliable, inexpensive, large phone +portable computer OPTUS were the only ones to stock it
