Steer clear – Steer clear of delongi ovens you simply can't get parts and can't get people to repair them if you live outside capital cities .they are expensive crap designed to stop working as soon as warranty expires. Do your self a favour and buy any other make
Glad I didn't waste my own money on this junk – This was in the house when we moved in, fortunately as I'd feel very ripped off if I'd shelled out thousands of dollars for this turkey. I'm not sure how old it is, not more than 10 years I would think. I've been struggling with it now for 4 years and just about had enough. The Good: It looks quite nice. The gas top generally works very well,… Read more
excepting comment below. It's reasonably easy to clean. The clock keeps good time. I'm really struggling to find something nice to say.
The bad: Has gone through 3 elements in 4 years, two bottom elements and a fan element (no I don't have both drip trays in). Oddly the top element/combined grill seems to continue to work OK, I have no idea if it has ever been replaced. Despite careful cleaning with mild detergent the icons have all flaked off the front panel and many of the numbers too. The door handle keeps getting loose on one side no matter how many times I tighten it. Grilling is very uneven. You can see from looking at the grill element that it isn't heating evenly. Temperature control is very inaccurate generally around 10 degrees C off what Starters on the hobs can be very random sometimes if the oven is hot. Large centre hob puts out very little flame compared to the surrounding hobs and thus is difficult to get a the skillet up to temperature.
Summary: It's much like an Italian car - nice to look at, does some things quite well, but it's very unreliable and irritating most of the time. I will likely replace with something Korean or Japanese as I have no time for Italian cars or Italian kitchen appliances.
terrible, DONT buy – We have had our Delongi freestanding oven for about 6 years now. Within the first couple of months one of the stove elements blew. I have never replaced so for 6 years i have been working on only 3 elements. The oven cooking is very uneven. Every single setting is uneven and very slow. The stove top temperatures are very slow. Now the door… Read more
seal/rubber has come away from the door. I am not going to get this stove fixed. It is a piece of crap and will never ever buy another Delongi product again.
An absolute lemon – Don’t buy Delonghi ovens Ours has been replaced due to glass shattering. Gave us a new oven and that’s also only fit to be a food smoker Have replaced 3 elements $520 total Fan rattles Very disappointing as we paid about 4 K for the package Don’t buy Show details
delonghi dud – Delonghi, just don't. Buy one if you want to a new oven every 10 years. Fan replaced twice, btm element twice and we're on our third function switch. Switch supplied is not up to the task, Delonghi has no technical support to offer and were no help, so steer clear. Show details
Good but not great – We bought this oven on recommendation from a friend. We have replaced 2 fan forced elements at a cost of over $300 in the space of 4 years. The fan is noisy and the oven rattles when the fan is on. I wouldn't buy another De Longhi oven again, they are ok but I think there is better for the money. Show details
Ok, now that we are using it properly!! – Have owned our DE906GWF for 6 years, during the first few months the oven light globe blew, however we didn't really care and continued to use it without one. Around the end of March this year the front door rubber seal went hard and deteriorated to a point where it crumbled. We ordered a new genuine one from Big Warehouse Spares for $68.85… Read more
delivered and it fitted perfectly.
A few weeks later, the wife was cooking baked veggies when I heard a large electrical short out. There was smoke coming from the oven and it had tripped the fuse in the house fuse box. The issue was the top grill element had split and bottom grill element had melted.
So, again, we ordered a brand new top ($119.41) and bottom ($99.00) element from Big Warehouse Spares and had them installed.
Now, when the electrician saw how badly damaged the bottom element was, he questioned which function we had used for most of our baking/cooking - turned out we've been using the 'Multi-function' cooking setting for the entire duration of owning the oven (which is only supposed to be used for large bulky items), so he thought this is what probably contributed to the element's demise.
But WAIT, as we were putting the oven shelves back together, he noticed that we stored both the bottom drip tray AND the rotisserie drip trays in the bottom two shelves of the oven above the bottom element.... he commented that this is a definite NO-NO as the two steel shelves trap and re-direct the heat down on the bottom element which definitely contributed to the elements demise - so we referred to the book and it became clear that only one drip tray should be in the oven at a time... Lesson learnt and now the oven is working perfectly!!
Pretty good – Mine works very well, slightly different model but cooks well, gas burner are great, full glass door so easy to clean. Not a problem in the 4 years I have had it. The stainless kick panel is a little tricky to remove to clean underneath the oven but we don't do that every day so it's not a biggie.
DeLonghi DE906GWF - It's a Lemon – We renovated our kitchen approximately 6 years ago now and installed the DeLonghi oven. What a piece of junk it is hence the Lemon tag. Nothing but issues from the time of installation. We have had repair men out several times and they tell me there is nothing wrong with the oven, that the temperature is consistent etc etc. As someone who does… Read more
a lot of cooking I know there is a huge problem and feel the oven has temperature fluctuations. My cakes and scones do not rise at all. Biscuits burn even though I lower the temperature and adjust the shelving. I could go on and on about this horrible oven. LIke others, I paid a fortune for it, thinking I was getting quality. I will never buy another DeLonghi product. My husband and I have been reluctant to buy another oven because of the cost we paid for this one but after six years we have finally relented and this week I am out shopping for another oven. I will be doing my research well before any purchase this time however.
Terrible oven, Delonghi disgusting customer service and disgusting service for repairs – I have had my delonghi cooker now for over six years. However over the past six months i have had notthing but trouble from not only the oven but the company as well. I spent over six thousand dollars on my cooker and this is what i get. Disgusting service from the company. It started when my oven just stopped working, i rang the repairs service… Read more
and they came out. After they had said they had fix the oven off they went. Well i only managed to use the oven twice and again it stopped working. Again i called the service people and again they came out and repaired for a second time saying it was the foil i had covered my oven tray with that had caused the problem, so i removed this. Well it was christmas day and guess what the cooker stopped again, so this meant i had to wait over this christmas period with family from overseas visiting for the cooker to be repaired once again. Once again they came out, not mentioning the time we had taken off to be home for the repair person. I asked the gentleman was this due to the foil and he said no way it has notthing to do with the foil. So they replaced the fan, elements from every part of the oven and said that should fix it. Within the week the oven had stopped again, this time they sent out a different repair person and again they replaced the same parts.
Well well well, guess what the next day i used the oven and within the hour it had stopped again. Well you can imagine my thoughts on this by now, not happy. I had spoken to several persons by now from the girls on the switch board, repair service persons, service managers, delonghi themselfs and again they came out only to say there is notthing more to repair and we will send yet another report of to delonghi and see what they say. So we have no cooker once again, trying to get any sense out of delonghi is like pulling teeth. I paid good money for what was supposed to be a great product owned by a great comapny and all i have had from them is notthing but trouble. I am so disgusted in the handling of this issue i thought that i had no alturnative but to write this review and hopefully other customers will think twice before they buy a product from this company. To keep you up todate they yet again came out today (10/03/14) and took photos of the cooker to take back to delonghi and still no working cooker. Unsure of what they photos are going to do, but i will keep you updated.
Till next time one disgusted, upset and very very angry customer.
DeLonghi dual fuel cooker – We have had the DeLonghi dual fuel cooker for about 9 years. We are very disappointed with the unit. The model is a D906G11 and is a 900mm wide cooker. I am a gasfitter by trade and do a lot of work on cookers. This is probably the worst unit I have come across. The oven takes nearly twice as long to cook a roast as normal, although running at the… Read more
correct temperature. If you turn the oven up to try to shorten the cooking time, the unit goes out on over/temperature even though it might be set at 220. The top gas burners take a bit longer than normal to cook food. The size of the oven is good and the unit is pretty easy to clean. The timer sound is pathetic. We don't like the griller incorporated into the top of the oven, although we don't use the griller much. I had to increase the jets slightly to get the top burners to burn at a satisfactory rate without producing a yellow flame. This should only be carried out by an authorized gasfitter.
Have had someone out 4 times in 16 mths, waiting again for the oven to be fixed, :( – We have had so much trouble with this appliance, we have had it fixed 4 times so far and the oven is under 2 years old. Every time we ring DeLonghi say that our case has been escalated and the supervisor will ring us, still waiting for his call,,,, after 4 weeks of waiting,, in the mean time we have a oven that does not work properly, poor… Read more

Nice Oven – UPDATE - Gone to heaven. Lasted 10 years and had to replace it - things just kept going wrong with it. The oven was probably too big and had hot/cold spots and not enough control. The burners were wrongly placed with the smallest and biggest at the front. Never used that fish thing in the middle. I have read one bad review about this oven on… Read more
this site but I have to say I disagree, we have had our oven over 14 months and it has never missed a beat. The oven is larger than some of the other ovens we looked at and cleaning is not that difficult as you can remove the door, cleaned it the other day in under an hour. We have LPG gas for the burners and took a little effort and a service call to set the burners up but has worked flawlessly since. Service from DeLonghi was excellent. I like the size, its a big oven and gas range.
Complete Rubish! Should be removed from the market! – The gas range does not function after the electric oven been used. We thought this was unique to our oven but we know someone else who has the same problem. The seals surrounding the glass have failed. We've already replaced the electric element and we need to replace the fan as the bearings have failed. Independently testing the thermostat,… Read more
the oven is at least 10 - 15 C cooler than set.
And what's more it is very difficult to clean.
Expensive to service.
