DéLonghi DEISOLA90 (90 cm)

Excellent extraction - a little noisy – We renovated our kitchen in May 2006 and bought the Delonghi gas cooktop (DGHS60), so we chose the same brand for the rangehood. Our purchase price was $1800, which we considered a bargain, given that it was a new model. It generally works quite well, but as expected with 1200 cubic m/hr extraction fans, it can get quite noisy at the higher fan speeds (3-4). At lower speeds (1-2) you can easily talk or hear TV whilst cooking. Efficient extraction of cooking odours/smoke. Filters are removable and easily cleaned in the dishwasher. The four halogen lights give such good lighting that we often use those when preparing food on nearby benches, rather than the main kitchen lights. The glass looks lovely but is hard to keep clean! The metal bars (for hanging utensils?) around the edges are useless.
