DeLonghi ISOLA90GL (90 cm)

Terrible – Very poor mechanical and electrical design. The internal construction is like a prototype and uses sticky pads to hold wires down. With the heat from the bulbs, cooking and the motor, these all failed quickly. The most unbelievable thing is that the 4 halogen bulbs take their power from the electronic circuit board behind the control switches and when the bulbs fail, they quite often fail short circuit which results in large amounts of current flowing through the circuit board. The result is that the circuit board gets destroyed. The circuit board is not easily replaced and is going to be expensive. Not what you want every time a bulb fails.

I've rewired mine with cable and added a fuse to prevent this from happening in future. Looks good. One of only a couple of 'island' hoods that I could find. Noisey. Poor performance. Very expensive. Electrically unsafe design. Bulbs get extremely hot and you can easily touch them.
