Very effective – Heats the room very quickly and effectively to the desired temperature. It is very Economical to run. Recommended, very happy with the purchase. we use it in our kids bedroom which warms it up very quickly and safely. I like not having hot air blowing on them. Great heater for winter!  Show details

Couldn't get rid of chemical smell – I returned this heater because of the persistent chemical smell that it gave off whenever I set the temperature to be above 21 degrees. This was despite me following the instructions and running it on high for the minimum amount of hours with windows open to get rid of the 'factory' chemical smell. Happy that Farmers allowed me to return it without any hassle.  Show details

Delongi Radia explodes – Our Delongi Radia exploded recently with no warning, spraying very hot oil all over a floor and wall. Fortunately the floor was a stone floor, however the wall need repainting. It still took a couple of hours to clean up the oil and the wall and I will not be buying another one as it could have been a disaster if the floor had been carpeted which… Read more

it is in other areas. Clearly there must be a design flaw or poor quality welding of the metal radiator fins causing a failure.

Bad – Only suited for a small loungeroom as it takes a long tim to heat up and most of the heat radiates out the top, not the sides. The power bills are huge when we use it Useful for putting clothes rack over the top cause the heat comes out of the top Was only chosen cause i had a voucher, took a long time to heat up. The most of the heat comes out… Read more

of the top, children can burn their hands if they touch it. Power bills were so high while using this heater, costs more to run than our air con. Didnt heat large rooms.

Pairs are better – I originally purchased only one of these heaters and was quite satisfied. But on very cold days I had to turn the power up quite high, which increased the electricity bill. I also had to turn it on in mid afternoon, to get the room warm enough by night time. The following autumn I purchased a second one, and now place one at each end of the… Read more

family room. The room is now very cosy at lower temperature settings, and the power bill has dropped significantly. But obviously, I was hoping the single heater would work efficiently enough on its own.

They do not have onboard fans to distribute their heat, so a ceiling fan would be advantageous.

I live in southern NSW with daily winter temperatures averaging 10-15 degrees, and regular frosty mornings or cloudy days with chilly winds.

With the two heaters working together in the same room, it is now very difficult to tell what the outside temperature is.

I purchased this item as an experiment, because its design is more efficient than conventional oil column heaters. So I decided to take a risk, and Im not entierly disappointed with the outcome.

On the positive side, the heaters are SILENT. They only make a clicking noise every few minutes, when switching on and off. There is no annoying hum or 'whooshing' sound in the background when watching TV, or talking to others.

They are slightly heavy, but have casters so you can wheel them around the house quite easily.

They seem to be a good quality product.

They can be turned up to an extremely hot temperature if necessary.

I doubt I would buy this type of heater again, mainly because of its size and weight. Its not something you can easily throw in the boot of a car for winter getaways, or if you move house.

I think a well designed fan heater, would produce more efficient results. Good quality, easy mobility, very quiet operation. One may be needed at each end of the room, for successul and cost-efficient heating. Not fan-assisted.

Terrible – Very dissapointed in the De Longhi heater as i thought it was a good brand and paid good money to get a quality heater. Obvousily that didn't happen. Retailer Bing Lee who sold it also tried fobbing it off as one of their best heaters and great energy rating - i don't think so!!! Buy something else as we are returning ours tomorrow. It looks ok… Read more

thats about it Doesn't heat up our combined lounge/dining room at all with all doors shut in apt. Heat only comes out of top, hot to touch so no good if you have small kids. Would not recommend.

Good – The heater seems to do its job. The usual clicking (oil heaters) is there. The maximum setting is very powerful. I don't know how energy efficient it is yet as I haven't had it long enough to get a power bill. Looks good. Does not seem to dry out the air as much as other heaters. Warms our large bedroom very well infact, the maximum setting… Read more ·  1

is far too hot for even a 7 degree night. None so far. I am not sure how effective this heater would be in a larger area than bedroom.

OK – We don't use this product too much during the day anymore as we have children and it becomes very hot to touch. Probably only suited really for small rooms - not really open plan living. Or if you just want to use it to get the chill off the air a little bit. I do recommend this product if you don't have small children around who could burn… Read more

themselves. pretty good product. Looks good considering what it is. Easily moved due to wheels. Heats up well. None so far...although does use quite a large amount of power (energy bill has defeinitely increased)

Terrible – Very disappointed that it is not good at heating room. I wanted a heater that would heat my open-plan lounge/diningroom and kitchen. looks good Doesnt warm up large room like the salesman said it would. The heat all comes out of the top. VERY high power bill!

Bad – Not happy with this at all especially since we paid $265 for it. The salesman at Clive Peeters encouraged us to buy this model as he said it heats the room better and faster due to the tunnel construction of the unit. Apparently it draws the air up and out, thus making it more efficient. We had it running for 2 hours when we got home and it did… Read more

not produce much heat. You had to be standing above the unit to feel anything. Very disappointed. I wish we could take it back. Neat and tidy. Castors make it easy to move around. Does not heat well. Heat only comes out at the top of the unit. Very disappointed. Also very expensive for something that doesn't work so well.

OK – Oil heaters are the best for heating small apartments/rooms, especially for people suffering from nose problems (dry nose/bleeding/sinusitis) and for people prone to getting colds/coughs. It doesn't blow any dry air, and instead it slowly heats the walls of the house, and the whole area, (not just a small corner unlike fan heaters) creating a very… Read more

comfortable climate. But be careful when buying Delonghi. Don't buy second hand because you'd most likely need the full warranty. Warms small rooms very well. Does not dry your nose. Safe when accidentally touched by children. Clicked noisily. (It even woke me up!) I had to send it in for repair (to fix the sound problem) after less than 2 years. After it came back from repair, it started leaking oil. So I had to send it in for repair again!
