Cheaper and good one – Very happy with the purchase and got 3 years warranty as well along with the product. Its been more than 16 months and no issues so far.. Value for the money as it has many features. to connect to laptop and Handycams ets.. to play movies directly form pen drive etc..

great features, large screen, good price – BOught this on a very good deal - $500 for this TV and a Xbox. Managed to sell the Xbox for half the price so essentially paid just $250 for this TV which was a good deal, if you asked me. ONly issue with it is that the base is quite flimsy, so it seemed like it could break at any time. Another problem is we never got any reception for channel 7, even after re-tuning it over and over, channel 7 wouldn't show up anywhere at all.
Best thing about it is that there's USB connectivity and the program title comes up at the same time when you swtich channels. very easy to use navigation when it comes to the menu, settings, and such. many functions, usb connectivity, easy to navigate flimsy, one whole channel range wasn't working (all channel 7s - normal and HD), couldn't read some files
Simon did you get a refund or credit when you returned your TV? I bought extended warranty on this TV, now wondering if they'll do anything for me if I return it or complain :p
Good product overall – Purchased this tv in december 2011. all aspects of both the tv and remote were easy to use. if i have a complaint it would be the speakers are rather tinny sounding. but for the price, $288 at the time, it was and is a great purchase Cheap, good picture quality Tinny speakers
Further to my above review, we have now had the television for a year and a half. it hasn't missed a beat. last week my daughter jumped on the remote and busted it. i emailed dick smith and got an immediate reply that was friendly and helpful. bottom line dick smith can supply a new remote at a very very reasonable price, posted to me. the after sales service is sensational

Yep same problem with the Dick Smith TV i got for the kids bedroom. None of the channel 7 stations show up when you tune it. Back to the store with this one!!!
