A good little unit – I’ve owned this for a number of years, and I’ve had very good service from it. Both AM and FM reception have been good (considering it has often been used in remote areas, camping). My only complaint lies with the 90 minute turn off, combined with the lock switch. When I listen to the cricket, even when locked, it turns itself off. Then I have to unlock it, turn it on, and then lock it again. I would prefer it if the lock switch locked it “on” and cancelled the automatic turn off. (I just hope the people who couldn’t retune their radios had made sure the “lock” switch was off!)

Great until you have to throw it away – I had my radio for at least four years. Only uses two AAA batteries which need regular replacement. Unit is small enough to be very convenient and sound is also very good. However, radio locked on AM 522 and that's it you can't retune it. Just had to throw it away. Seems crazy. Four stars for radio itself. No stars for tuner locking. Overall three stars. ..

Radio locks on memory – Not impressed with this radio, it locks on memory and you can't cancel it. The station changes to am520 and you can't cancel it or do anything.

Just what's required – The automatic 90 min cut-off battery saver is rare to find in such an affordable, digital tuning radio and perfect for listening quietly to under the pillow while camping and nodding off knowing there will be battery power the next morning. I love this little guy, but after 2 years of use I need a new one as the tuning buttons are starting to be unresponsive. Battery saver.Auto digital tune. Price. Energy efficient. Reasonable speaker output. Belt clip could be sturdier.
