laundry for a couple of days made no difference - the smell was overpowering. I decided to give it another go but only lasted two nights. Apart from the smell, the medium profile is too high and firm and, as a side sleeper, my ear was squashed against the pillow, becoming sore after a few hours. I felt as if I was fighting to prevent the pillow from pushing my head and neck up while I was trying to make a dent in it with my head to make it more comfortable. My neck also hurt the next morning, both mornings.

This pillow is not fit for purpose. I see others have mentioned that the quality has declined in recent years and that these pillows are not the same as the orginals manufactured several years ago. Possibly they are now being manufacturred in a different factory and the quality control is not as good.

I have returned mine to Harris Scarfe via Australia Post and am hoping for a refund. My previous $10 Tontine pillow feels like a cloud after this!

So I got the classic version instead. It’s better for me because I can sleep on my side or my back. I like how latex springs back instantly, meaning, it is always supporting my head and neck even if I roll over. With memory foam for example, it’s much more slower to spring back to shape. Latex is light weight & the springy sensation does take time to get used to. But overall it’s alot better to sleep on (cooler too). I take my pillow everywhere with me because it’s that comfortable. The only reason I gave this pillow a 4 star and not a 5 is due to the fact it is shorter (length ways) than a standard pillow. Which means that it doesn’t fit snug into a standard pillowcase which annoys me a bit. However, after some research, I found out that it’s cheaper for them to make latex pillows this size vs having a longer length mould to pour & set the latex into.

After a bit of research I bought a bamboo one.

It was fine, it worked, but it was as though my old pillow was a 2017 Rolls Royce and now I was driving a 1970 Mini.

And a dodgy fuel gauge.

After umming and ahhing, and researching some more, i found Myer were having a sale on dunlopillos. Before I could overthink it, I bought one online using click and collect, got a text an hour later to say it was ready, and nipped down to pick it up.

The first night it felt hard and I thought I’d made a terrible mistake. But since then, my heavenly pillow and I are reunited.

Buy it. You really will love it.

Smelly pillow and Poor customer service from Dunlopillo – We have been using our pillows for a bit without any issues but out of the blue both pillows started stinking. Our pillows are still under the 10 year warranty. We contacted the customer service twice already and they said will send a form to fill but that never happened. Worst off, I am unable to exchange it for a different pillow due to hygiene purposes although I used a waterproof pillow protector. There are no pillows to test in the store.

Stinking hot – Not all that comfortable and stinking hot, even now in late Autumn. After 10 minutes my face and ear are on fire. Bought this as it was supposed to be a cool alternative to the Dunlopillo memory foam. This one is hotter! Show details

pillow. And to be fair, it's not only this brand of pillow, ALL of the pillows in stores now have shrunk. So much so, that normal pillow cases don't fit anymore! This pillow that I took delivery of today, with no exaggeration, would use approximately half of the material they used to use to manufacture them! I'm sick of paying for overpriced items that are just a shadow of what they were in the past. As soon as I saw the package it came in, then lifted it, I knew something was not right. They used to be heavy! Not anymore, I even thought they'd sent the wrong item until I opened it and saw that it was indeed what they misnomer as a "Dunlopillo Luxurious Latex Pillow". No. It's not. What Dunlopillo have done, as it appears, is just cut one of the proper "Dunlopillo Luxurious Latex Pillows" in half, shoved it in a little pillow case, and said, "There ya go! No one would tell the difference!" Well guess what, Dunlop?! I CAN tell the difference! I used to be a loyal Dunlop customer, even to the extent of using Dunlop tyres on my car's and motorcycles. Not any longer! I'll be switching brands immediately, thanks to the disdain in which Dunlop obviously holds it's loyal customer base in.

Needed More Support – The pillow was great but not high enough for me. I gave it to my Dad and bought another pillow from elsewhere that was higher (too high as it turned out) but I got use to it.

Smelly and unstable – Comfort is personal preference, so I make no comment on that aspect. I bought the soft, medium profile. I actually went back to my old Tempur pillow, which is cooler, way more supportive and doesn't stink.

Very expensive pillow with bad smell and totally disappointed at all.

I want to sleep on it but can't stand the smell – I haven't slept on it yet because the smell is overwhelming. I couldn't stand it all night. I've aired it outside for 2 days in the breeze and sunlight but the smell remains. My husbands pillow didn't smell like this when it arrived 2 months ago. I've washed the protective pillow case but don't really want to wash the pillow. Its a big item in a small washing machine, plus its brand new i shouldn't have to wash it. So hard! Hurts my ears!!! – I had heard these were the best pillows.. bought the soft medium profile first... way too low... like a kids pillow.. then tried the side sleeper medium. Last Dunlopillo I will ever buy – This is the 3rd Dunlopillo Classic pillow I've owned over the years. The first one lasted 10 years, the 2nd one is on it's 6th year. I opened it up. It’s not nearly as firm, it’s too soft and collapses at the corners, and not even my old dunlopillos do that. It doesn’t have the same firmness or bounce that they once did. I have my old pillow for comparison, and even my old dunlopillo has better firmness and bounce than this new soft, collapsing pillow. They’ve clearly changed the manufacturing, and it’s a damn shame. Don’t waste your money like I did, search for something better. If I could return it, I would.

and the smell is still there. I guess it’s the latex. Secondly, the pillow is just not comfortable, simple as that. I’ve been waking up with worse neck pain than ever before. Really disappointing. Lastly, the pillow just feels odd when I rest my head on it. I don’t feel any neck support and I feel like it’s doing more damage than good. Complete waste of money. Not as great as everyone says – This is a great height, however the medium latex is like sleeping a on a deflated balloon, your head is unstable the whole night as it’s unsupported. with severe neck pain and headaches. So I decided to stop using it for 2 weeks and went back to my old my old dunlopillo that I hand not disposed of yet. It was happy for the week I used it but had to dispose of it as it was in need of a change so again I went back to the new one only to find after one night that my neck was sore in the morning and the headache was back. Such a waste of money. They pillows been put in the bin and I doubt I could ever go back to this brand. It’s so sad as I was so happy for a decade and use to have the best sleeps.

Waste of money! – Bought it as I wanted more support for my neck. I've woken up every morning with an extremely sore neck and a headache. I did the quiz to see which pillow was my best fit being a side sleeper. It's too high and too firm and my neck doesn't feel supported at all. Don't believe all the hype. Extremely disappointed – I bought these pillows as a few friends highly recommended Dunlopillo. I must say I am extremely disappointed. The pillow has no support at all and I wake up with a really sore neck every morning. I was so excited to use them but I have been left feeling very disappointed with my purchase.

My favorite pillow brand! – Great pillows! Have used Dunlopillo's since i was a child. I am 50 now and still use Dunlopillo's. Never had any dust mites issue with it. I am sure there are other nice brands around but this one has been my favorite from a child as it is lasting and has a comfortable feel to it. Gave me neck problems – This pillow gave me neck/shoulder problems. I ended up at the physio, chiro and massuer. The best Pillow ever – I purchased two pillows from Kogan.com. And I never regret that I did so. They are definitely the best pillow I ever owned. They are very soft to sleep with but very firm at the same time to support my neck.
