I am super happy withy experience with DVD Land. I received my DVD just days - less than a week after ordering it! Lack of communication is why I dropped to a 4 star review.

Very pleased with the excellent communication from this company and my gift of a new release DVD for a family member has arrived and she is delighted Highly recommend

I asked for a refund. They didn’t send a proper refund receipt - just kept saying it’s done. (No amount, no date refunded, no nothing). I followed up and eventually got a partial refund, when I should have received a whole refund , after waiting a whole year with no dvd. Rip off artists! I eventually ordered elsewhere and received the dvd box set within two weeks!

some clearly fake positive reviews that I think need looking at. Alot of the positive reviews seem identicle, it wouldn't be hard for the company to make fake profiles and print copied receipts as proof of purchase etc to make themselves fake positive reviews.

recommendation was perfect. My friend loved the DVD (not as much as my cat that he wanted to keep). In this day and age I really loved Kelly listening to what I was after and coming up with the perfect recommendation. I have since ordered and received some South Park DVDs for me, delivered in 4 days. I just love their service.

Ordered a DVD that was 'pre-order'. It arrived before listed delivery date. So DVDLand do respect your early purchase and hence do look after you. Packing is great, fast shipping and legitimate versions for Australia and region 4.

I paid for 2 DVDs in December 2025 and I received one quick but they just kept sringing me along for months on the 2nd dvd.Then more games after cancelling waiting for a refund, they place cancelled in a holding credit ?? purchase this DVD elsewhere - I picked eBay - it arrived in 10 days. I have now asked for a refund and have been totally ghosted - no response, no email and no refund.

I will not be purchasing from this company again and my advice is to look elsewhere when purchasing DVD's.

b/c "..... payment was sent to the DVD publisher to guarantee your allocation". This is highly deceptive. How dare they sell something that does not exist!!!...and then refuse refund until bank/CC company gets invovled. They need to be shut down by authorities. THIS IS WHAT I DID TO GET REFUND: I raised a case with Amex and the very next day DVDLand issued a full refund.

not supplying. The point is if you show as in stock it should not matter if the supplier is out of stock.

Obviously, they use customers funds to fund orders and do not use there own working capital to fund their own inventory.

Each time, I was given the same explanation blaming their supplier, along with repeated assurances that the items would be available “next month”—which never materialised.

While I did eventually receive refunds in both cases, the overall experience lacked transparency and reliability. Based on this, I would not recommend this site.

DVDland is great when it works. I've accessed some good, otherwise hard to get things from them. However, they are APPALLING at labelling whether something is actually in stock or a pre-order, and they never give you a date by which something on pre-order is expected to be released or available. check that something is not listed as preorder in the description before I buy... but I *still* get caught out! There is no guaranteed way to know if you are ordering something that isn't available yet until you have already paid. Then, if you check in order status, you may discover the unwelcome news that your whole order is labelled a 'preorder'. This will apply even if all but one of the items in your order are actually in stock; but you still won't be able to tell for sure which item(s) are holding everything up, or when you can expect your eventual delivery. This happens even if you pay extra for 'express' postage. In the year 2026 it just shouldn't be hard to automate your site so that items that are not yet in stock are always clearly and consistently labelled.

sure, so once again I order more not on pre order but once again same thing. I finally received 2 items out of 5 months later and have now asked for PayPal refund. Bloody disgrace of a company. Stay away.

I would strongly advise avoiding shopping here. I placed an order at the beginning of January when the item showed as in stock. more frustrating is that the item is still being advertised as in stock on their website. When I questioned this, I was told it was due to an AI error, which I find very hard to believe.

Overall, the communication and service have been extremely disappointing, and at this point I’m not confident I will ever receive the DVD set I ordered. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing from this business.

and they did not have a refund transaction from DVD Land. I was so frustrated with this company that I informed them I was calling the ACCC , amazingly my refund through PayPal came through within hours ! Buy at your own risk from these people !

Fantastic Customer Service. I had to change my order last minute and Aaron was able to assist me efficiently and professionally. Received my order 2 days later. 100% recommend and will shop with them again.

Updating further disappointment with DVDLand. After waiting many, many months for our pre-order, and DVDLand refusing a refund, we finally got some hope when the product listing showed “Coming 18 Feb”. I checked today, and the product said “In stock”. Then twenty minutes later, it changed back to “Pre order now”. This mob is either a pack of scammers, or hopelessly disorganised. Pay a few dollars more and buy your DVDs elsewhere.

[Content Removed]. Both Mum and I ordered from their site - we never got our DVDS. They say you can "pre-order", but you don't end up getting your DVDs. We both emailed them but never heard back. Plus, if you get their emails, there's no unsubscribe button. Both of these are a huge indication that it's just a [Content Removed].

DVD land went above and beyond to get our stranger things obsessed 11-year-old son a funko pop in time for Christmas. Forever forever grateful for this.Thank you.

Meanwhile, that particular TV show (current series) came to a free-to-air app. I emailed to request my order to be cancelled and a refund be issued - they would not process my request. The gave me an option of an on-line credit instead. This was never processed. They were extremely unhelpful and when I advised that I was going to write an unfavourable Google review, they basically 'begged' me not too.

So, over a year to receive my DVD set, numerous unhelpful emails to get a refund - didn't receive one and did not give me a credit either, not that I will be ordering anything from them ever again. This purchase was a complete waste of my hard earned money. It is still sitting in it's plastic / unopened.

I have bought a few DVDs from this company for a few years now. They advertise region 4 DVDs months before they're released without making it clear that there will be an unknown waiting period and don't make it clear that it's a pre-order. I waited 8 months for my latest DVD. However, their service and prices have been good when the DVDs are already available for region 4.
