Pros: Good suction and picks up pet hair
Cons: Expensive, very noisy, heavy if one has stairs, cord is too short, locating pin on flat out tool breaks easily
Overall: It has good suction but -- Its expensive, extremely noisy, its heavy if you have to lug it up or clean stairs, the power cord is too short, locating pin on the flat-out tool breaks easily allowing the head to fall off, becoming useless.

The most frustrating thing is DYSON do not reply to Customer Support emails and based on this I doubt if one would ever be successful with a warranty claim. Simply not good enough!

If I ever need another cleaner I will certainly overlook DYSON

Pros: Amazing clean, easy to store away, easy to empty
Cons: Somewhat expensive, long hair can get jammed into the turbine spinning head
Overall: Who would have thought that I would ever enjoy vacuuming! But the Dyson DC23 is so easy to use and picks up absolutely everything that I know that it is worth every cent I paid for it. I never have to retrace my steps to pick up missed dirt and have used it on our wood floors, tiles, carpet, even the cloth furniture and curtains without any issues.

It is simple to use, stores away in a small space and is easy to empty.

My husband was not impressed when I bought the Dyson that you have to roll around, rather than an upright, but even he loves using the Dyson now!

Pros: Excellence in cleaning. Large bin capacity that is easy to clean
Cons: A little heavy but worth it for the quality
Overall: This is an amazingly effective vacuum. We have an old cat, 5 year old beagle and just got a Labrador puppy for Christmas. Our old Dyson was on it's last legs so the stocktake sale was timely to pick up this run-out model. The vacuum has made our rugs and carpet look new and we thought the old one was still doing a pretty good job! The hair our beagle sheds tends to wind its way into the fabric on couches and carpets but was no match for this model. The floor tool is excellent on hard floors and, because it swivels, it is amazing along the top of the skirting boards too. Both heads get into all the corners and a along edges really well. Great suction, great tools and excellent suction and cleaning ability. The mini-turbo head is wonderful on the couches. Fabulously easy to empty too. Worth every cent!

Pros: Manouvres well, stores easily. Simple to remove dust.
Cons: Suction average at best. Poor durability.
Overall: I purchased the Dyson Cyclone sometime around 2003 and was not immediately blown away by its capability to clean. It did an average job from the beginning and it died on me about 3 months ago. Overall I would say I was not impressed with my Dyson. Maybe I got a lemon but I will not buy another one. I was at the shop today and the Sauber Intelligence cleaner for $1200.00 at Godfreys would be a far superior cleaner than a Dyson - there is no meaningful comparison really. German/Swiss precision machinery beats the Dyson hands down. Would suggest Dyson sells on its design and not its ability to clean.

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Heavyish but I think it's just a part of life
Overall: This vacuum makes my carpets like new the suction is amazing you don't even have to go over dust you see it sucking in from around the head. The hard floor head is amazing it just zips around my floor fitting into every nook & cranny. The vacuum it's self I'd designed to sit on stairs while you go up them, very handy!
Fold away really well
