4 years - the magic cut off date – Wish we had read some of these reviews before buying Electrolux products- we wouldn't have bought them - expected range hood to give us more than four years before lights stopped working and transformer and board needed replacing . What sort of quality control is there for products that can die around three - fours years and cost the earth for replacement parts? Is this a deliberate ploy to gouge money? Unfortunately we cant afford these outrageous replacement costs.

Electrolux Sux Big Time – Electrolux sux - The unit looks great but when it came time to clean it the grease was trapped in areas that were unaccessable to reach and had to be serviced to clean. The filters were very easy to clean but what's the point in buying this hunk of junk if you have to get it cleaned by a service agent when it could easily be done by the owner. Would never buy anything to do with this company. Just a pile of rubbish.

You pay good money for things these days only to be let down time and time again by dodgy workmanship. It was probably put together by a give year old who had to put in 10 hours labour fir only $3.00 per hour. Poor little tyke working his fingers to the bone for minimal wage.

Costs $1300 to buy and $1200 to fix! – After just 4 years, we have had to replace this piece of rubbish with another - cheaper - rangehood. Our entire kitchen has Electrolux appliances and we would never buy them again. The head board has gone and the lights dont work. The filters are easy to clean but they obviously dont work as the inside of the unit is clogged with grease. A total piece of junk. We wouldnt mind it needing servicing if the repair costs were so ridiculous. It looks nice Everything!

Looks good but hasn't lasted the distance – The has only been in the kitchen for 3-4 years (previous owners installed it). Several of the switches have stopped working correctly - the 2nd fan speed does not come on and the lights switch between nightlight and off mode when switched off. They also take two minutes to light up after being switched on. The filters are easy to clean but over time the fat has accumluated inside the rest of the unit which required almost complete dismantling to clean. Looks good. Broke within 4 years of use. Difficult to completely clean.
