Take Away Anywhere – I wanted a cheap violin to take out and keep my expensive ones at home. I got to admit - this is value for money. Even a baboon like me sometimes makes this soprano sing. A good violinist can make any violin sound good. Then this would sound superb. At a glance it seemed bulky, but it's got grip. an easy vibrato and it's a well balanced instrument. Fret board is a bit more spacious - so if you've got frog fingers it's a go. Bridge is ok and fine tuners got good ratios. Good volume - has a distinct sound. This is good fun and good value. If you really want to hear your mistakes - go electric and buy some guitar pedals.

Good value early to intermediate violin – Bought this for my son (then Suzuki Book 4) after he tested a number of different models ranging from about $200-$700. This was one of the cheapest models but sounded better than some much more expensive ones. It sounded even better after we upgraded the strings. Like others have said, it does depend on the setup and I suspect we were fortunate that we bought from a reputable shop where the violin was set up properly.

Violin Review – This violin is ok. The sound is great but a lot of modifications are needed to play it. Firstly the violin comes with shoddy strings which lose their tone and break easily so a new set of strings is definitely required. Secondly, the case is really bad quality especially the bow holder which keeps on pulling out the strings of the bow. Thirdly the main big issue with this violin is the bridge height or the fingerboard height.

Either the bridge is too high or the fingerboard is too low making it really hard to play higher notes and maintain a good playing position. I measured the distance between the end of the fingerboard and my strings and it's 9mm for the g string and 6 mm for the e string which is double of what it should be.

I am planning on getting a new violin soon. I kinda bought this violin on a whim for $169 and i wished i did more research on violins before i bought it. Fourthly, the pegs are made out of rosewood which slip a lotttttt. But it comes with a good bow and the violin sounds good and bright. It just costs a lot to modify the violin so I would suggest that you get a more expensive violin to begin with. Overall you get what you paid for and because this violin is cheapish you get substandard quality. Cheap, nice sound Hard to play

Excellent – A very good choice for the beginner-to intermediate student players requring fractional size violins without having to spend a fortune on a instrument like similar brands that spend large amounts on advertising. A very good sounding, solid and realiable instument for students. Must be amongst the best value for money instruments available. Has ebony finger board not just dyed timber like most models in this

price range. Would like to see a nice plush lined velvet case with this brand.
