Overall: I purchased this printer for my small office at home where I’m the only person in charge of everything. I’m actually a budding writer and I work here at home and want to just plainly print text documents. Nothing fancy really and this printer was very cheap when I got it from a garage sale. I previously have qualms in buying this one because I’m afraid it would bog down because it’s you know a surplus item but then again, I believe that not abusing it while using makes the product extend its lifetime. But I don’t want to recommend it to heavy users and especially those who do not know how to use it slowly.
Pros: Got no problems connecting with Mac, especially that there's USB (and even parallel) port to simplify accessing the printer. And the instructions to do that? Its' basic, you know. But they've included a CD instruction anyway to install the necessary files prior to using this laser.
Cons: Can I use it in Redhat? I'm using Fedora and I'd like to share this printed up, not just with my Mac. Epson didn't indicated that. There should be at least som "can be" answers about it.
Overall: With a standard paper-print capacity of a 150 sheets, I'm able to print different paper sizes ranging from transparencies, labels and envelopes. That's exceptional for an unfamiliar brand using another operating system (Apple Mac) with another set of applications other than your standard Microsoft Office. Yes, it does print fast. Around 21 pages in my observation.
