Pros: cheap, seperate ink tanks.
Cons: Driver doesn't let you see remaining in levels. Ink cartridges also don't have any level indicator. Drinks ink.
Overall: There is no point having seperate ink tanks if you cannot tell with one needs replacing. Very poorly though out by Epson.

Pros: Cheap and easy to use. Printouts are are very vivid and decent. Can store up to 120 pages and uses 4 separate ink tanks. As opposed to replacing all the inks, you replace the one that has run out. Driver software is easy to use with online instructions.
Cons: Paper jams can occur frequently. The Epson literally eats ink and you will be faced with paying a lot more for consumables. Ink-head cleaning and nozzle calibration uses up large amounts of ink. Alternative brand inks will not work properly (eg. Calidad) as it will require a lot of head cleaning, which uses up the ink and outweighs the cheap cost of these inks.
Overall: A cheap budget printer that will meet the needs of students. Be prepared to pay for replacement inks from Epson. Frequent paper jams may also put off potential buyers.

Overall: Pros : Cheap, compact, good software

Cons : Dodgy warrantee, incompatibility with generic inks, Cartridges run out very quickly

Overall : Very disappointing. Looked good on paper but the "cons" above, combined with a paper feed problem on my unit meant that it was pretty much useless. Every print comes out skewed - and the noise it makes when a new sheet is fed is loud enough to make me think it's going to rip itself to pieces. I was told that it was my responsibility to get the printer to their service centre and back again. By the time I do this I may as well buy another printer. A Canon.
