This is a worst printer I have ever seen. I will never ever recommend to anyone buy this – This printer is a worst one. Simply I can say, it should not be bought. I spent a whole day to fix the problem, why it is not printing, but failed to fix it. Everything seems okay, but printing is not done. If it is the case who should spend such a long time.
OK as a scanner - or almost!! – Have had this for a few years now, never printed anything with it, it's only ever been used as a scanner, and for that it does everything I want - when it works. It won't even scan when it thinks it's out of ink!! Which is pretty daft. When the out-of-ink light goes on I whip out the cartridges and wet the 'business end', it seems to think 'ink!' (such poetry!) and off it goes again. (I guess it thinks it's out of ink when the jets dry up.)
This tip may help others who have suffered spurious 'ink-out' messages. Don't overdo the wetting or it may not print well for a line or two.
(It could be that removal and replacement of the cartridges may actually be what re-sets it. I am pretty sure I tried this, but with no joy. It may be worth giving this a go as I'm not sure if I tried it or not.)
Have fun!!
Terrible!!! Not at all reliable – Terrible printer!!! Whenever you want to print something it shows low ink even though its installed recently. always problem with the printing quality. Do nozzle check or head cleaning nothing helps, I have hardly used my printer for this reasons. I would not recommend anyone to buy this printer. please don't waste your money.
Easy, cheap but not great – Versatile and very easy to use, copying is a breeze and the Windows driver is equally easy to use and configure. Ink is also fairly cheap, although it isn't the most efficient of inkjets. This is great for low-volume usage as you're not wasting a $25 ink tank by letting it dry up: if you're out, $12 (or less) per cartridge will get you up and running again.
There are two main issues. First, quality could be a lot better. Both text and image output just isn't as sharp or clear as I have found with other printers (both inkjet and laser). It also sometimes grabs the paper wrong and works fairly slowly. Second, the thing just won't print if a cartridge needs replacing. This is a hassle if you only need to print black and white if you've run out of one of the three separate colour tanks. At least they're cheap to replace. Also the scan quality could be better. Cheap, easy, reasonably compact Not great quality, a bit slow, a little inconvenient
Unreliable and heavy on ink usage – Constantly having to deal with ink light on, flashing or constant, even though i've hardly used it, and the ink shouldn't be out. it always indicated the ink is low. i would never recommend this printer. all i want is a printer for my children' school projects, a printer that prints!! I just want to turn it on and have it work, instead of dealing constantly with a flashing ink light and trying to figure out 'what on earth is the problem now?'. what i mostly do now is email my kids' projects to school and ask them to print it off for my children. this printer is a pain because it is so unreliable. It does scan ok. Ink light on,ink running out, hardly ever prints, very unreliable.
