Best printer I have ever owned – The cartridges last a very long time compared to the three Canon printers I owned previously. It prints gorgeous photos right up to A3. Very solid printer in general. Have had this for two years and still going strong.

Terrible – Upgraded from another Epson model (Epson Stylus 935) after being regularly disappointed by the poor reliability of the ink heads dropping ink onto paper, and the cost of replacing the 4-in-1 ink cartridge. I was keen to upgrade to a printer that could print onto discs (CD's/DVD's), and was happy to consider the option of an A3 printer upgrade if it was in the price range.I have used a Canon A3 inkjet before, and was very impressed. Looking the models available however, realised that I would have to invest around $1000 for the privilege. While researching, Epson released this model that is A3+, printed onto discs and I managed to find a seller at $585.00AU.The printer did everything that a modern unit should do, very high quality output and the separate ink tanks that you can maximise the usage of each colour. It is a 6 colour model which means that photos come out as good as any inkjet for pro-sumer users. To date, it has impressed and never come close to failing. There are still some more tests to do in day-to-day usage, but these would be considered the upper level of usage. Allocate a large space on your desk as it does have a large footprint.I have only used it with Epson paper for the higher quality prints, but for draft prints, standard paper works perfectly, the printer does not seem to flood the page, even with heavy coverage. If A3 printing is needed, then this is an awesome way to enter the market. If you only need A4 printing, then you should be able to pick up this units little brother and be just as happy with the output. Value for money, a huge range of media options and sizes

Reliable, no trace of dropping ink or spotting onto paper

Awesome ability to print on to discs (CD/DVD) Physical size, the unit is quite large for home application.

A little slow for the first page print, but once it has been started it is very acceptable

A little noisy for a modern printer
