Pros: Prints direct onto DVD's and CD's (works best with Verbatim inkjet discs), stunning photo quality prints when using Epson's photo paper, scanner does brilliant job at copying colour pages, PDF scan software great once you figure it out (it asks you after you scan if you want more than one page), churns out pages fast, a bargain for it's price.
Cons: Like most brands of printers the cost of a complete set of ink cartridges can exceed the cost of the entire unit (WTF?), plain paper black and white printing gives black text dark grey and not laser quality which is passable but oughta be better
Overall: This is worth buying for the photo printing capabilities alone, plus throw in the ability to print direct on some brands of CD's and DVD's using the bundled software and it's more than a bargain. The scanner is virtually for free. If only all the makers (not just Epson) had realistic prices on their ink cartridges. Shop around for price as I have seen 100 bucks variation in shops. If you want a plain paper black and white printer look elsewhere, but for colour photo quality, 1 word... jackpot!
