Here's a list of questions other people have asked about Ergo Flex Memory Foam
I know its been asked and answered BUT i will ask it again. Does it get hot like Tempur mattresses. Anyone tried both?
chinensis57 asked on Apr 6, 2012
It gets hotter than a regular mattress, but not uncomfortable. You just use fewer covers. You will come to appreciate the warmth in winter.
Zander55 replied on Apr 10, 2012
I haven't tried the Tempur so can only speak about my experience with the Ergo Flex, and from a menopausal point of view :), I haven't noticed any heat being generated from the mattress. No complaints, whatsoever.

I am contemplating purchasing 2 king single mattresses, side by side. However, my husband weighs around 135kg. Did I read that these mattresses are not suitable for overweight people? Anyone who has bought one, I would appreciate your feedback concerning larger persons.

No one has had mattress longer than 4 months! Has anyone had it a lot longer and is it still as good? Also my partner is a lot heavier than me and I am in pain from sleeping in a dip all night. does that happen with this mattress on a divan base?
gail asked on Mar 4, 2012
I wish I could say longer but I've had it since October last year! SO it's not a lot longer than 4 months but I am still getting good wear out of it. Basically like day 1. To answer the second part of your question-I was told by cust. service at ErgoFlex that a sprung base is good but any base that lets the mattress breathe is highly recommended. So my mattress is on a (looks like convex) metal grid and that's great for comfort as well as the longevity of the mattress. If you decide to buy one keep this in mind as the 10 year warranty covers you if you follow instructions to the T and putting your mattress on another not recommended base will void your warranty. One last thing that I got on the ErgoFlex website- (Go the the website and click on the FAQ section)->" To ensure ongoing maximum performance from your Ergoflex mattress and longevity of use, we recommend as a precaution that the mattresses are suitable for persons up to 18 stone in weight (approx. 114 kg or 252 lbs) or 30 stone for combined weight (approx. 190 kg or 420 lbs). If you do exceed this weight and would like to purchase an Ergoflex mattress, please contact our sales team direct for advice on the composition that would suit you best." Hope that helps, and good luck with your future bedding shopping!

Hi, we've had our Ergoflex mattress now for ten months and it is only getting better with time. It is actually much more comfortable now than when we bought it, but I think that may be due to our backs getting used to actually being supported. I'm not sure about how the mattress would perform on a divan base but in my experience, it is a very solid mattress - it will not dip, regardless of the weight of persons sleeping on it, as it is memory foam and will return to its shape each morning. We turn our mattress on a 180degree angle every 2-3 months, as advised by Ergoflex. My partner is much heavier than me and we have never noticed any issues with 'dipping' or loss of support. Hope this helps!

I went through the data and wouldn't like to buy the
double ergoflow mattress but no form to order it in. how to order?
epi sherfan asked on Dec 18, 2011
Hi Epi
I must admit to being confused - if you wouldn't like to buy the mattress why do you want to know how to order one?
If you do want to buy one then I suggest you telephone Ergoflex which is what I did. You are then able to ask any additional questions about the mattresss.
Regards Rod

This is an online company and you can order through the phone. Speak to the Director, Matthew who is very helpful. The telephone no. is shown in their website.

I have spent 2 nights on the matress now and woke up both mornings with back pain. Is there a bedding in period (pun intended)?
Steve asked on Nov 13, 2011
I feel Memory Foam gives the support at the right places on the back & hence the backbone which is usually become out of shape due to bad postures, try to come back to the ideal state. The change in the shape bring some pain to the back, i believe it must go in a week or 10 days. Try sleeping straight w/o a pillow or one not to high. Always use a pillow when sleeping on the sides. Hope it helps....
psinau replied on Nov 14, 2011
It took my husband a good week-10 days to get used to this mattress & i concur with psinau that this is probs due to incorrect posture from previous mattress(es). Give it some more time - i was right as rain within a few days but we also purchased the ErgoFlex pillows. I have had a bad lower back for 20odd years after lots of childbearing - probs not your problem! But never wake with back ache now. Keep persevering, I'm sure you'll get there & won't regret it - we don't

Used mattress for 11 nights now, waking up with back pain. Is there an adjusting period, will this go away? Also, does anyone else use the mattress on flexi-slats? This shouldn't impact the correct fucntion should it? Thanks James
James asked on Jul 19, 2011
Hi James,
I use the mattress on a slat bed base. They are the european slats that bow upwards. One run of slats each side of a centre frame. Sort of under each sleeper assuming 2 people sleep in the bed.
From the first night we have had wonderfull nights asleep. No pains.
hope tis helps,
regards chris

Memory foam mattresses like this give off chemicals (VOCs?) which apparently can cause all sorts of health problems. This would explain the initial smell many people here talk of. Anyone had experience with it causing health issues? Thanks,
Sarah
Sarah asked on Jul 16, 2011
Hi Sarah,
We are very careful when it comes to chemicals and were initially concerned about the smell everyone was talking about. We suffer from allergies as well so its a double whammy for us. However, we aired it out for a couple of days and the smell disappeared totally.
We have not experienced any health issues or allergies. Only a good nights sleep, every night. Hope this helps you, best regards Chris

I've been told that the mattress can get very hot. Would also like to know if they are easy turn over and do we have to? We are very interested in purchasing but hear conflicting comments. We have 8ins latex mattress and is very heavy to turn.
dawn asked on Jun 26, 2011
Hi Dawn, I don't find the mattress too hot at all, actually I have an extra blanket whilst my husband is fine. We also have an extra underlay on it which I will take off in summer. The Ergoflex mattress is like any other, would require 2 people to turn it but I don't think it would be an issue due to it being memory foam so not even sure if you have to turn it as regularly as a normal mattress. I highly recommend this product, good luck. Thanks, Jo
JoHirst replied on Jun 27, 2011
First of all, Ergo Flex mattress is not hot at all. It is quite pleasant to sleep on. The temperature is just right for me. Second, is not your traditional mattress, therefore it does not need to be turned. It is heavy, but not excessively. As recommended by the manufacturer, you need to turn it 180 degrees horizontally once every 3 to 6 months. Two people can easily do it. Don’t forget that you are comparing Ergo Flex mattress to latex mattress, which is hot and very heavy.
Cheers, Radion

Anywhere to try in brisbane north?
chris asked on Jun 4, 2011
I wouldn't know as I am from Victoria.
All I can say I have been thoroughly satisfied with the product and the service.
GGI replied on Jun 6, 2011
Unfortunately No, You can only purchase online at the moment, But try going to a bed centre and try lying on a tempur memory foam mattress. The same thing just a different manufacturer. I purchased in Aug 2011 and it was the best decision ever.
