Federal SS535

Good for the price – OK tire for the price however response is lazy and unpredictable in different conditions; very small working window too hot zero grip, too cold/wet zero grip. In between is actually quite good! The chatter especially in the front in the wet is simply unbelievable, I have never experienced a tire that performs like this. Braking response was excellent however which is strange.. Were on an AWD Audi.

I may buy again simply due to the price, wear is good, but requires a very high inflation pressure due to the soft sidewalls. The Uniroyal in the similar class of tire (rain tyre) absolutely leaves this one for dead and is only $10 more expensive but has a lot more road noise. Price, performance in certain conditions, braking performance, quietness. No wet grip and a lot of chatter at very slow speeds in the wet, zero road feel.

Good – great tyres, have owned them for 12 months now and they have never got me into trouble. they have excellent grip in wet and dry conditions and even while driving in an enthusiastic manner they have never lost traction. would buy again for street driving. grip, directional stability, wear nothing, all good
