Fellowes Mars ML-95

A must have item – I bought this laminator to replace a very old fellowes one that had finally died after much use in my home and shop. It gets used weekly to laminate my Kindy boy's sight words and news information sheet. It is simple to use and the pouches are often on sale at Kmart, Office works or Aldi. My only issue is that it seems to take. Really long time to warm up. The older model did not. I have to switch it on and walk away or I get frustrated!! Easy to use, pockets Re cheap and easy to buy. Slow to heat up
Perfect Home Laminator – I bought this for laminating basic documents, photos, kids art work, scrapbooking etc. It's been very reliable and I'm very pleased with it, no problems at all. It accepts pockets up to 125 microns (thickness), although I've found the 80 micron pockets are plenty thick enough to do everyday tasks and they're very cheap to buy. Page sizes can be either A4, A5 or A6. Fast to heat up, just make sure you let it cool completely before packing away as the the unit stays warm for up to an hour after using it.
Keeping in mind, it is a home / hobby laminator and is not manufactured to withstand high volume usage. If you just need to laminate a few pages each day, then this would be the prefect option for you.
I paid $45. I think it's well priced. You can buy cheaper, aswell as more expensive ones. The cheaper ones, I'd be wary of. The more expensive ones obviously more suitable for high volume use, probably with a more powerful motor that can handle the load and won't overheat. Quality product, heats quickly, laminates in reasonable time, green 'ready' to alert when machine is hot enough to start laminating, compact size (don't need a lot of desk space to use), plastic (heat safe) side handles.
