A great investment – A product received as a gift which has been a lifesaver from very early on. My baby loves to play and snooze in the swing. I found it was the only place he would sleep aside from my arms in the first few months. At 8 months he still loves it.

My favourite baby product – Just super. The swinging can be switched from side to side to forward and backward. The mobile arm at the top can be lifted up completely to make it easier to put baby in and take them out. Music soothes, the pictures are colourful. We are now using this for our fourth baby, so that shows that it is built to last. Yes the batteries are expensive… Read more

but really this product is fantastic. It's expensive but I think it's worth it! Someone else mentioned in their review that they purchased their second hand. I think because the cover can be easily removed and washed in the washing machine, buying it second hand could be a good idea. It'll scrub up like new. We kept it in the garage and so it was dusty when we took it out. Machine washed the cover and hosed down the rest in the yard.

A lifesaver for early days, entertaining with age – We loved this swing when our child was newborn. He had troubles laying flat so being able to pop him in this for short breaks was great. The side to side swinging motion was soothing for him and he really enjoyed the bright colourful mobile as he grew. This is one of the few baby products we have been able to keep and will use on our next child.… Read more

Its really great value especially because it can be used for our next son when he arrives. bright colourful mobile, outlasted the child so can be kept for future children to use as well

Excellent – This is hands-down the absolutely best thing that I bought for my baby. I wish I had had one for my first two babies. I got it on sale. If you can afford it I would definately recommend it. My baby has used it since she came home from hospital and at nine months she still loves it. She is absolutely fascinated with the mobile, and also loves… Read more

the bright cheery pictures. She uses it several times a day and will just sit there for ages, and even falls asleep in it. In nine months of constant use we've only had to change the batteries once and it is still in as-new condition. The tray is great for adding an additional suction toy for her to play with. Bright and colourful, safe harness and tray, great variety of lullabies, cheerful songs and rainforest sounds. Expensive. Swing is fast for small baby, could use a lower setting. Swing also gets a bit slow as baby gets bigger, so could use a bit more power. It takes up a bit of space and is not really designed to move around.

Good – We were given this as a gift & have gotten great use out of it. It's safe & secure. When baby was very young (first few months) he would go off to sleep in it. Now that he's older he sits in it to have his bottle of milk. I found it very helpful when needing to have a quick shower or hang the clothes out on the line - he couldn't get out of… Read more

it! Perfect for leaving baby in while having a shower, a bottle of milk, hanging out clothes on line etc Big & bulky

Excellent – I'm very happy with this swing, it really has saved my sanity on some days. This is the one luxury item I would recommend to all expectant parents. Love, love, love this swing. I received it as a baby shower gift and I'm truly so grateful to that friend. This swing has settled both my children many times when all other methods had been exhausted.… Read more

Although I would use it periodically through the day, I'm sure that both my children could have happily have spent hours in there. They loved the music, and the swing motion would really relax them. Does not come with mains outlet or adapter (?older swing as picture displayed here seems to have one) so have spent a lot of money replacing 4 'D' size batteries.

Excellent – We love the "magic swing". For our refluxy baby who just wants to be held all the time it's allowed me to have breakfast in the morning. My first cup of hot tea after 8 weeks almost made me cry with happiness! He used to sleep in it all the time, now he just enjoys sitting in it and playing with some toys while it swings away. Couldn't be without… Read more

this product. Baby fits well in the swing, good motion, songs/music ok - not too annoying. Structure seems very stable. It's pretty big and really quite unattractive (as is lots of baby stuff!)

Loved it! – This was an absolute life saver! It was the only thing that would guarantee a litle sleep from our little one in the early days! As she got a bit older she loved the mobile and the music too and it was useful being able to turn the swing round to a different position if she got bored of the normal swinging action. We got ours second hand for a… Read more

reasonable price and although it's obviously been used a fair bit, it still looks brand new. It's powered so there is no having to wind it up like with an inferior model we had. Bub looked so comfy in it and it would lull her to sleep in just a few minutes.

So glad I bought this – I bought this and I am so glad that I did! It is a God send, and my little boy has trouble sleeping and this sends him off to the land of nod and has him there for enough time for me to get a lode of washing done. Reliable, Easy to use, Folds away really easily, and Is quiet compact.

Good – A great swing, my son slept in it during the day from newborn to 3 months. Its a lovely pattern and fitted well in the loungeroom with us so we could watch him instead of putting him in his cot where we couldnt see him. Sometimes he slept for 2 hours in it. Unfortunately it only lasted until he was 4 months old as the weight limit is quite low (he… Read more

was a big boy too). It is very wide though and you need a big space to put it for the swinging room. My son loved it, a great bassinet alternative for the lounge room Expensive, he grew out of it too quick, a bit big

OK – A friend lent this to us with our very unsettled baby which was fantastic. Although he was only in it such a short time (heavy baby) that I was really pleased I hadn't spent all that money. I found that it took up a huge amount of room and couldn't be easily stored away. Lots of battery use. He liked the swinging but even before he reached the… Read more

weight limit he could grab the dangly bits (Aquarium model) so they had to be moved off. I found I only put on some features as the full works freaked him out. It is very soothing for unsettled babies Expensive and runs on batteries

Excellent – This was our life saver. We had a baby that wouldn't sleep through the day and I was trying to study online, so in the swing she went, which helped keep her amused when awake and then swung her to sleep while I tapped away on my computer. A bunny rug can be draped over the end of the swing to slow it down as it swings quite fast when baby is… Read more

small. It takes up a lot of room and is difficult to store, but we have a large lounge room so that didn't bother us. We found we used 4 x D batteries every 4 weeks when we used the swing every day. We loved that we could change the direction of the seat and that the controls allowed a variety of music and combinations with the mobile, lights and sound. As baby can grow out of it very quickly it's worth looking for a good second hand one. I have the aquarium model. The swing can be faced in 3 different directions, a choice of lights, mobile or music or all 3 at once. Choice of music, rain, babbling brook or ocean waves. multiple speeds and the seat can be sat up or laid back. I've not heard of a baby that doesn't like it. Expensive. Takes up a lot of room, can get expensive to run (4 x D batteries) if used every day. Swings quite fast on the lowest setting when baby is small. Baby grows out of it quickly.

Excellent – Great product and a life saver too!!! baby used to fall asleep in it in the day during the first few months which was great. i was able to do my Wii workout and she'd watch. she was so content in it she'd always be giggling. i even fed her in it until we were able to get a high chair too! if you have the money to spare, i recommend getting it!… Read more

love the bright colours, music and lights and the little toys that move around keeping baby entertained. like the fact you can choose different tunes (slow or fast or lullaby) and different speeds for the swing. swing also can change direction if you need it to. keeps baby entertained for ages! toys can be removed so they can also play with it outside of the swing. heave to move around and bulky to store. takes 4D batteries, was expensive to buy but totally worth it!

OK – I have mixed feelings about the Rainforest tree swing. My first child rolled out of this swing when she was 2 months old. Luckily she did'nt get hurt but i have been wiery of putting her back in it. I think Fisher-Price need to improve the saftey of the harness. The musical rainforest mobile always got her attension and she was always emused. The… Read more

price of these swings are expensive. I dont think its worth it if they dont put enough effort into saftey. Eye catching rainforest design, the rainforest musical mobile gets her attension all the time, swings forwards and side ways, plug in option saves money on batterys. Its hangs to far from the ground, the harness is not safe, expensive.

Excellent – THE BEST BABY INVESTMENT EVER!! If you're having a baby, you NEED to get one of these! It has saved me heaps of times and it gives mums a nice break from rocking the baby after they ahve fallen asleep. Of course it will not replace a mother's loving arms, but it does the job very well while mum puts the washing on the line! :) "My Automatic Baby… Read more

Sitter!". Baby loooves being in this swing. He will happily sit in there while I do teh laundry etc and most of the time he will fall straight to sleep. NOrmally my baby will cry if he is not carried durig the day even when sleeping, but if we put him in this swing, he will happily fall back to sleep in it. it runs on batteries, i think 4 D or C cell batteries and we've so far had it for over 2 months and the batteries are still going strong. And this swing is on for HOURS at a time.. daily! none whatsoever!!

Excellent – My baby loves this swing, it has seen us through two babies and I have to say it has been my saviour, especially when our kids have had those fussy days when they have just wanted to be held. I put my bub in here and I am able to do laundry dishes etc and my baby is safe and happy. Well worth the money, i would highly recommend to anyone!! Very… Read more

soothing for baby, seat really comfy and secure. Seat swings side to side or back and forth, very quiet compared to other swings. Soothing lullabys or sound effects.

Excellent – Fantatic product, well worth the money! I always recommend one of these to any new parent as it certainly is helpful when you need a break. I have the older model - aquarium, and LOVE this product. With my first child it was a saviour. My son loved it from around 6 weeks and I kept using it until he was too heavy. I found the sounds fabulous… Read more

and the rocking motion option great. My daughter is now 6 months and she still happily sits in it and it gives me free time to cook dinner or even just use the bathroom! When you baby is very small you do need to put a wrap or the like over the end of the swing to slow it down as even on the lowest level it gets quick a rock up (just my personal opinion).

Excellent – Overall I'm glad I had this swing. My daughter managed to stay 9kg until 16 months of age so we got heaps of use out of it. I managed to sell it for a good price too, so it holds it's value if you take good care of it. The cover is easy to take off and wash. My baby loved this swing. We used it allot in our house. DD would sometimes not sleep… Read more

anywhere but if we put her in the swing off she would go into a blissful slumber. Very expensive. It's heavy and bulky difficult to store when not in use. It's run on expensive batteries instead of power, however we never had to change the batteries. Max 9kg weight limit, if you have a heavy baby (not mine)

Excellent – My two month old son is loving this swing, no matter which way it is facing. This swing is great as it can rock side to side or back and forth. As side to side is good for colicky babies and the front to back motion is good for reflux babies. We actually have the "Aquairium" theme swing which has lovely colours, and a pretty fishy mobile which… Read more

actaully has a motor to spin it around, also it has a light inside a globe full of water with fishies inside for bub to look at, and has a few different sound effects - with a volume button (as some toys music can get quite annoying), and it also has a 2 position recline seat and a play tray - which is great for when bub can sit up and look around. It sends my baby to sleep, good mobile for baby to look at, and is fully motorised (so you don't have to sit there swinging it) It is a little bulky with its "stable" wide base, but I have managed to overcome that by storing things under the swing.
