Saggy baggy springs – Bought a ford ranger for its towing capacity 3.5 tonne and 350 kg ball weight. My caravan weighs 1.8 tonne with 180 kg ball weight. Went for 3 weeks holiday towing caravan came back after a week because it was dangerous towing the caravan( I have towed other bigger vans with different tow vehicles with no problem )Took car to ford and all they did… Read more

was measure the sitting height of the car and said it was 10 mm low on one side and 6 mm low on other side and car is well within its limit. The ford diagnosis was that I would need to up grade my suspension to tow my caravan. The car has been taken to 2 other suspension company’s and both said the suspension under load is failing. Ford never tested the ford under load just measured it. Looking buying another Ute and both of the dealers guarantee that there vehicle will be fine towing a 1.8 tonne 180 kg ball weight caravan. . If you buy a new car with that towing capacity then that car should be able to tow it

Love it – The ride, comfort and poise is simply exceptional, more like an SUV than a ute The driver assist safety equipment package is comprehensive and mostly works very well The biturbo four lacks a little compared to the V6, but it’s entirely competitive against rivals

Love this car - great for travelling & towing! – We bought our Ford Ranger 4x4 second hand in May. It had only done 56000km and was in very good condition when we purchased from a local dealer. It has a canopy, side steps, we installed a 12v plug in the back tray to run a fridge. We drove 13000km up to Darwin and then around the west coast back home from SA. It Did not skip a beat. We had new… Read more

tyres out on before we left, it was serviced before we picked up the car so we did make sure everything was good before we left. So reliable, so comfortable. Great big engine for towing, easy to tow with. Good on fuel, and had been told many a story by travellers about breakdowns etc - we felt safe and had no worries about breaking down. Only thing is the screen in the Front of the car could be bigger. I know the next model actually is. The aerial doesn’t actually seem to be the best either, doesn’t pick up much when travelling out of towns. But very happy with the car.

First Ford in 35 years – I have recently purchased a 3.2XLT with a plus pack with low mileage. Beautiful car but nervous about some of the bad press. The ride is excellent, interior noise is very low and fuel consumption is as expected. Don’t let me down ford this is a stunning car if this is good and lasts I will upgrade brought it to tow our caravan and see Australia Show details

Great Vehicle. Ticks all the boxes – I have just bought a 2022 manual PX3 XLT to replace my 2017 PX2. I got an order in for the very last week of production before the "Next Gen" horror story. I have found my PX2 to be ultra reliable having had not a thing go wrong with it in 5 years and 150K of ownership except a cracking rear tub which was fixed under warranty, which includes… Read more

several very rough outback trips including Simpson Desert, Anne Beadell, Canning Stock Route and the like. For a ute, I find it comfortable, well appointed, and the tech is appropriate without being ridiculously over the top like the "Next Gen". It drives remarkably car like, given the agricultural underpinnings, and has, in my opinion, the best calibration for traction control in the business. Looking forward to starting again with the PX3, and hope to get 10 - 15 years out of it, so that I never have to drive something like the "Next Gen".

Do not buy a ranger or any ford – Do not buy from Ford Australia I bought a brand-new ranger, I loved this Ute, always looked after it very minimal Ks it was my pride and joy. Ford dealerships have damaged it by poor workmanship. Ford refuse to take accountability or fix the issues, I’m left with a very expensive lemon and am out thousands of dollars now. I would never buy a ford again after this experience. After every visit my car is worse than before. case # 200473237 Show details

Disappointed – Ford customer care are clueless, useless, rude and incompetent. I was promised compensation for loss of income after my Ranger took almost 2 months to fix under warranty. I was always ahead of them with knowing were my vehicle was at and I would be telling ford what’s happening. I supplied more than enough information to prove loss of income… Read more

then they denied me anyway after a lengthy delay. Further more I have made several attempts to follow this up, every time this takes weeks/months with super slow replies from them which always ends with a false email address and disconnected call back number given to me. Used to love Ford, but I went and bought another vehicle this time.

Lemon car going for its 3 Rd engine in 5 years – Purchased In 2017 new from dealer Wild track 3.2 Ranger , at 19k and 6 months of age in feb 2018 the engine failed without any warning leaving us stranded in South Australia. vehicle had a engine replacement after 7 weeks of constantly ringing and arguing with Ford Australia who made out that It was my fault and these cars were solid , which is total nonsense. In 2020 the car did an EGR valve again without any warning and that was another task in run around by dealers and Ford Australia just to find one that fitted as none in stock due to high demand ? Clearly another issue with the engines .Let’s fast forward to Jan 3rd 2023 , while taking off again on a well earned trip to Qld , we departed that morning and as we crossed the border into Nsw at 6 pm on the 3rd of January 2023 the car without any warning at all blew the second engine a week after having been serviced and no issues picked up at time of service . Again Ford Australia is playing the our product is the best and clearly your at fault as the owner and this is extremely rare , well it is not rare it is very common and as a business owner I have spoken to approximately 35 who have rangers customers since Jan 2023 and they have all had engine failures at some point with ghe 3.2 engines. Ford Australia again is playing tennis with the issue that I want resolved The car isn’t fit for purpose and the salesman knew exactly my requirements and assured me that the vehicle would meet all my expectations and some , well it’s not met anything. I have open a case with Ford Australia and under the Australian Consumer Guarantee act I have demanded a refund or replacement vehicle And as Ford Australia is true to their commitment to customers, they are again playing tennis with the issue instead of resolving it and admitting their is a problem with the 3.2 engines I would like to hear of anyone else who has had problems with the 3.2 rangers and I’m actually thinking seriously about going to a current affairs like they did with new ranger and highlight the issue on a national level If you would like to share your experience with your ford ranger 3.2 Contact me at [Contact Details Removed]

What a Lemon – Vibrating Machine!! This car has gone back 4 times now to Ford. originally They diagnosed it with a Drive Shaft problem that they told me 1 in 4 had. it still vibrates when accelerating. not others. Ford said its because of an update they are waiting on. due February next year. Pain in the butt as it keeps going off when there is no traffic near me. Lane control system is slow and painful. can't be turned off either, so you are stuck with it. If you indicates the wheel doesn't let you change lanes for a few seconds. Sun visors are like tooth picks. Turn them to the side and they don't even reach half way down the window. No light with the mirror in either sun visor, wife's not happy. Comes with a lot pof "upgraded and New Tech" problem is you can not use any of it while the ca ris moving. all seems a bit childish not being able to use things. especially when the passenger could be doing it. Rear seat belt warnings go off when you have one person sitting in the back. I have been back for 4 software updates and its still happening!!. Wireless charger is only 5 amp. so it actually doesn't charge. it just maintains battery levels. Bit useless if you want to charge your phone! I have had 4 different 4x4 and this is the worst. Would be ok if it was around $45K but certainly not worth the $75K paid. . The guys at Ford have been great and have tried to help with everything, but that doesnt make up for the poor product. NEW Gen should be called Old useless Gen!!

2 x Transmission Failures - Vehicle Replaced by Ford – Ford Ranger Bi Turbo with 10 speed automatic transmission. serviced, never used for towing and has never been offroad. Only driven on suburban roads.

Previously owned a 3.2L 6 speed auto with no issues for 3 years. The new Bi Turbo however is nothing short of a nightmare. Totally unreliable you would never risk taking it on a long trip for fear of breaking down.

2nd transmission lasted only a few thousand km.

Under advice from dealership and unable to diagnose cause of failure of new transmission Ford Motor Company replaced the vehicle with a brand new one at no cost ! I sold the new Ranger with zero km on it back to Ford and purchased a different brand dual cab ute so far with no issues to speak of

Rusting Ranger Ford Deny Fault – $months ago I discovered RUST Spots on the Roof of my 2019 Ford Ranger Wildtrack so far there is 4 areas rusting. We reported the problem to Trinity Ford Cairns and after a review they denied that the car had a problem, It is obvious that thrust is coming to the surface from inside the metal, when compared to stone chips on other parts of the vehicle it is obvious that there is a problem with the roof of this car. Show details
