Great and reliable for everyday printing – I have NEVER had an issue with this printer. I have been using mine consistently for almost 10 years now and and it still functions perfectly. I would highly recommend for everyday printing.

Garbage – One of the biggest pieces of rubbish we have ever bought. Print quality is OK but the cartridge prices are too dear and it jams with monotonous regularity. It also costs more to fix than a new printer of another brand. Would not recommend Fuji Xerox to anyone who wanted a reliable printer.  Show details

Oh Dear - but NOT very dear! – Bough this printer from Harvey Norman for under $100.00 so guess you can't expect much. Actually it worked very well with excellent results through the 1st supplied canister of toner. Then the print density just faded. As it was still withing the 12 month warranty I took it back. HN said they had to send it back to Fuji Xerox for either… Read more

replacement or refund - I am still waiting. It has been away for weeks. In summary 'Good while it lasted'

Terrible Paper Jam – I bought Fuji Xerox P205B. I bought this printer due to price is affordable and I using it not quite often. Since I bought this printer it cost me terrible time delay, due to almost every paper i feed in is jam. Almost 20 pieces of Paper I feed in only 1 pages was succesfully printed out.

constantly getting paper feed problems – Not even worth the $50 I paid for it. Get a better model, when it does feed the paper you get a good print but can take a dozen tries per page.

Orange light on and power light flashing – I bought this printer about 6 months ago and was happy with the performance until I changed the cartridge and since then the printer went error; the orange light keeps on and the power light keeps flashing. The manual only suggested the printer to shut off for 10 seconds and on again, but it didn't work! Any one can help me out before I chuck this printer away? Thanks.

Meh – Pretty fast good quality printing but as absolute pain to unjam. I have had a number of paper jams and managed to successfully tear the paper while trying to pull it out, meaning pieces I can't get to are stuck and need to come out before it will let me print anything else. I had to get the tweezers out to get to the bits of paper..how… Read more

embarrassing. Also having a new problem... printed about 20 pages and then to printed stopped and the red error light came on.... It felt very hot so I have let it off for over 6 hours now, I have come back to try and print again, but the same thing, Printer is VERY hot and red error light is flashing. I have had it for about a year now but am regretting not spending the extra $30 to get a brother printer, which was the new version of the printer I was replacing because it was verrryyy olldd. Never had any of these issues.

If you're not printing too much it will be great, but if you're a regular printer of documents steer clear of it, I have had nothing but problems with it from day dot. And before anyone says "oh but you just got a dodgy one" this is the second one I have had, I returned the first one I bought to officeworks within 3 weeks because of the same problem.. should have taken this one back as well and exchanged it for the brother.. Small, doesn't take up too much desk space and quality of print is pretty good. Pain to unjam, paper jams alot. Heats up pretty quickly.

Does the job – Easy to set up and responds quickly to print jobs. Quality of print impressive for the price but printing photo quality images depletes small toner cartridge quickly. The lack-lustre paper alignment grips result in occasional jamming. Great little package to fill the shrinking need for hard copies in day to day business. Cheap and easy to set up. Image quality reasonable for price. Occasional jamming, toner hungry.

Cheap Price $48 – Pros: This is a no thrills basic one sided printer $48, perfect for text printing that I have a lot of. I average 250 pages a week. done about 8000+ pages, text is still sharp as the first day I bought it. Reasonably quiet, . lots of cheap non-genuine refills cartridges or refill kits out there. change the $11 cartridge over in 30 sec. Produces a… Read more ·  2

lot less of the laser printer smell while printing. Average cost has been 2.5 cents a page so far and reducing.

Cons:

in and out trays are flimsy as. skews printing easily. I do find I have to straighten it once twice week

I have had 2 paper jams so far. no more paper jams after I started prepping the new paper before refilling the tray. cheap and cheap to run, I even bought a spare...... nothing that outweighs the Pros in my line of work.....

Lowest Price, Best Prints, need small space, cheap cartridge. lovely – just today i bought it from officeworks for only $29.95, 1 click install with video helper. crispy prints. first page came out in just 15 seconds. officeworks also sell the cartridges for $68, but i MSY sells the same OEM cartridge for $19. quite happy with this deal. It would be great if Fuji adds scanning and copying function for a few more bucks. low price, very small size, cheap OEM cartridge from MSY.com.au Nothing

For home/study/small office use, buy this printer – I have a $200 Canon which I found to be overkill for my needs. I print mostly B/W, double sided, sometimes laminate but mostly comb bind. When I went to buy my second refill of cartridges ($90!) it dawned on me a monochrome printer that could print double sided would be the way to go. Picked the P205B for $59 from OfficeWorks. Have had no… Read more

issues with it. Though it's only one-sided printing, set printer interface to odd pages only first. Then reinsert same pages as they come out in tray, set to print even pages and reverse order, and there's your double printing. Highly recommend this to anyone doing monochrome printing only.

Unbelievably fast, had it 3 months with moderate to heavy use and have yet to change cartridge that came in the box. Be careful when inserting paper that it's lined up correctly with the guides, in the beginning I made the mistake coming from my Canon of not aligning all the guides correctly and printing came out skewed.

Small table footprint, turns itself to power-saving mode automatically, really silent, prints fast and crisp.

Well done Fuji, from a very satisfied customer! Small tabletop footprint, prints fast, can be used to print double sided with minimal effort Line paper up correctly with guides or it will print skewed, limited paper tray, Pros far outweigh the cons though. Highly recommended.

Unacceptable performance – The printer will show paper jam when attempted printing on an empty tray and the error cannot be cleared unless you power it off. Will easily get very hot after printer say 30 pages and it will go very very slow afterward (maybe 30s per page) unless being cooled down. It sucks! Cheap, no drum required Too many as stated in the review, never buy Fuji-xerox brand again

At last, affordable quality monochrome printing! – I purchased this printer purely on price. It installed without issues and it performs every time as it should. The print speed is great and the print quality excellent. After two months use it has never let me down. With previous printers there have often been issues reproducing PDF files. There has not been a single problem printing PDF's with… Read more ·  1

the Docuprint P205b ever since I bought it. I have great faith in this product and hope it continues to exceed my expectations. It serves me well! Exceptional print quality and speed. Small desktop footprint.

Very Disappointed – I bought this printer based on the manufacturer and price. There were other brands at a similar price but I've always had good experiences with Fuji Xerox products - I used to provide IT support for SMEs and residential customers so have a great deal of experience with printers. The installation and setup was simple. The problems began when I… Read more

started printing - nearly every print job fails with a paper jam orange light. I've tried all the usual tricks (which I shouldn't have to do!) such as fanning the paper and using different premium papers such as Reflex and there has been no difference. Just because something is cheap does not mean it should not work correctly. (when it actually prints) Fast printing and good quality, small footprint. inexpensive Constant paper jams

VFM- Unbelievable! – $38 @ Harvey Norman, almost a giveaway. Compact, easy to install & use, excellent quality and speed, 2200 pages from (after market) $55 toner cartridge, quiet, front loading and front output. I will never again bother with inkjets for monochrome printing; cannot recommend this enough. Have also used the larger unit and equally impressed($49). … Read more

PS- the cartridge can be rotated to secure the toner for transport; no more strips of sticky tape! everything! Nothing- yet!
