Fuji Xerox Phaser 3100MFP / 3100MPFX

Functional Laser printer at the Price – I bought this printer on "special" at Harvey Norman back in 2010 so I have had it for years. From memory it was under $100.00 & for the price & being fed up with ink jet printers & the cost of continually replacing cartridges I grabbed this laser printer. I use it at home so it doesn't get a real hammering from a printing volume prospective but I have found it reliable with no real issues & its still going strong. The only problem I did encounter was when I upgraded my laptop to windows 10 - it was running Vista. Xerox does not provide drivers for 10 & I found if you don't turn off the printer before the computer it will give you the dreaded blue screen. Also the scanning software it came with is not supported in Windows 10. I now run the printer off another computer running XP & use it to print any B&W volume work rather than running a Brother colour laser which is hooked up to the windows 10 laptop.

All in all I am very happy with the Xerox as it has performed well with no printing issues & I have found it cheap to run compared with ink jets.

Landfill – Terrible- paper jams and grabs started after only a few months. Toner cartridge unable to be refilled so horribly new one bought which was quickly followed by jams, grabs, stalls and failures of print-jobs. FX not particularly rapid to respond and reject negative descriptive reviews. Don't buy this, even second-hand. It came in a nice box. Everything else. It turns nice A4 into confetti. Thank goodness for the "Paper Jam Door" at the back!

Not recommended – Slow to warm up, not user friendly, print quality is average,can see lcd display clearly, my old Brother and Hp are much, much, much better in every way.I want my Hp and Brother back. Slightly cheaper than others. Build thought Slow, complicate to use for some feature, glare lcd screen, paper jam a lot.
