Pretty Good Unit! Very Happy! – Well i paid a little too much for it at BCF Castle Hill, paid $450. I did have some gift vouchers that were about to expire so it was ok. It's a good quality, easy to use unit. The sound i thought would not be very good considering its mounted under my dash but the sound is fine, it is quite good and i don't think there is a need for an externally mounted speaker (even though you have the option). Ease of use, quality, modern design, speaker clarity given its mounted under my dash, A little on the pricey side but i believe its worth the money given it has the remote mic.
Update, after a few years use I've noticed that the led display plays up in that it either doesn't work or some coloured led backgrounds don't work. currently i cant use red as my back ground colour or orange.
Great radio – This is a great radio. I've had this radio installed for almost 2 years and it has performed flawlessly. I bought this radio bundled with an AE4012 aerial and mounted the aerial on my bullbar. Everything was fine till out of the blue the aerial snapped off at the base whilst driving down the road. The GME dealer told me that they weren't designed to be mounted on bullbars. It was replaced under warranty, but they said not to mount it back on the bullbar. Anyway I got an RFI whip & all is well ( & mounted to the bullbar).
The radio is easy to use, sounds loud and clear, has great range - I'm getting around 10kms with a 4.5dbi aerial and good area saturation.
I have nothing bad to say about this radio except I wish I had waited to get the 80ch version. Oh well, live & learn. Quality, ease of use, clear sound, volt meter, what's not to like! Mine is 40ch only. Nothing else at all.

The green back light on the mic screen display decided to die on me today. 3 years out of it I guess isn't too bad.
