Hibermate Sleep Mask

The sleep mask is extremely uncomfortable as it pushes in your skull when you lie on the side. It does a bad job at blocking sound. And the bamboo pillow is so hard that lying on the side with the mask on isn't even possible as the ear muffs are too big. Absolute waste of money, unfortunately.

Perfect noisecanceller – It is the perfect noise canceller. If I want to sleep with earbuds I get sore ears. But this is perfect. And than as an extra it also blocks light. I don't know why there are so many negative reviews, but I love it. Third time I bought is. First one was after a couple of years done, so I bought a new one. After that also for my wife.

Useless company. Avoid – Waited close to a month for shipment and never received the item. Contacted their support team who advised they would be happy to refund some of the purchase if I closed the PayPal case. You’re better getting blood out of a stone. Avoid this mob.

impossible to sleep on your side. The hard plastic also impacts the position of your head whilst lying on your back on a pillow, as they rest against the pillow preventing your head from fully relaxing into the pillow. The Velcro straps are hard under your head and if you have hair it gets stuck and of course hurts when you take the mask on and off causing hair to be pulled out. The bridge tubing across the nose at first appears luxurious, but with the straps on to hold in place caused indentation and pain, so I have to either not have the straps done up or put another eye pillow underneath to make it bearable. The actual noise reduction is amazing with ear plugs. I tried to find the contact details for the seller but they are going the unfortunate way a lot of sellers are these days by not providing a phone number stating when asked that the reason is that they are global. Despite the wording on an enclosed brochure “If there is anything wrong with your order, PLEASE reach out to us. We would love the opportunity to make it right for you. Our customer service policy aims at full customer satisfaction, whatever it takes.” they ignored my emailed question about the side sleeping covers and ignored my question to ask if there was the other mask available, as shown in the videos they asked me to watch, that didn’t have the velcro. Also just stated to adjust the straps to help the pressure on the nose, which of course I had tried. Offered a refund without question initially, but when I asked for help getting the mask right instead they have ignored me and stopped responding. Needless to say, I am not happy and wouldn’t recommend based on their poor communication and words that spell scam to get the sales but no care after taking your money.

Absolutely useless – I have been using this on and off for more than half a year now, and what got me interested initially was the earmuffs that are advertised to block out sound while sleeping. side, it creates a vacuum within the cup and makes it super uncomfortable on the eardrum.

So in the end I had to remove the ear cups and use it as a overpriced eye mask, and it even fails at that. The straps near the eyes have these rough edges that scratch at my face whenever I move. Over longer use the straps tend to tangle and loosen, so the eye mask can barely be strapped onto my head securely.

Overall an overpriced and failed product for it’s intended purposes. A $10 sleep mask bought on eBay will do the job just the same. Do not waste your hard earned cash on this.

After I tried to leave above bad review on their website, I realised they censored the reviews and bad reviews are never be approved by them to show on their website, what's the point of their review system? what a joke!

Not noise cancelling – Does not cancel noise, more like muffles it. Mask is uncomfortable, ear muffs move, and horrible to sleep in if you're a side sleeper. Even paired with inner ear ear plugs, doesn't cancel barking dogs. For airplanes maybe.

Misleading Website – The picture looks like its suitable for sleeping on the side, but its NOT AT ALL suitable. The eye mask itself is the cheapest bit of fabric, i mean there is no thought of making it comfortable around the eyes, even a 10 EUR mask i bought off Amazon is more comfortable. Its just sad that they picked all the best reviews and 100% 5 star ratings on their website. No wonder they do not allow returns, really disappointed.

Blocks light and sound but not comfortable – Was super excited to get this when I ordered it. Take a look – Too tight and hard to put on, what's wrong with normal headphone format which allows you the comfort and ease of putting them on or taking them off incase you need to use the toilet, instead of the hassle of the task it takes to put them back on. built like the too expensive kookoon headphones without the electronics. Yes like kokoon headphones without the high price tag of adding electronics. To me they have to improve the build of the cup, redevelop and start all over again and if I want a mask I'd prefer to buy one without the twisted mess these headphones are. Make it easier to use with, oh just look at the kokoon headphones will ya.

Very happy after many years of use – Hi I bought hibernate around 2006. I wore it out and bought a couple more 2 years ago. I will be a lifetime customer as I believe they are great value. I use a fan to block out sound so never use the earmuffs but the hibernate is excellent for blocking out the light. We have also bought another brand which stained the pillows and returned. Disappointed – I find the earmuffs are uncomfortable to wear in bed and do not reduce noise enough for me . Back to ear plugs for me ! May be ok for airline travel when you are sitting up

Very well designed – I bought the latest version, Gen 6, of the Hibermate sleep mask. This version comes with ear cups that can be changed out or removed. There is an over-ear cup and and on-ear cup. the manufacturer is very upfront about how much that is. Don't expect these to block out the noise of someone yelling in your ear, but a snoring partner or other noises further away are very nicely muffled.

The mask is very comfortable and blocks light very well. It's clear a lot of refinement has gone into the product and I really appreciated the adjustable portion of the mask, to ensure it is blocking enough light without compromising the comfort.

Overall, I have found this to be a superior product that has enabled me to get a reliable night's sleep, even in circumstances where there has been noise or light.

If you're on the fence, I can say that I was too. I bought one for myself, expecting to try it and be disappointed as online purchases can often be. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I will be purchasing a second mask for my partner very soon and I commend the team at Hibermate for the work they have put in to this wonderful product.

An improvement on an already great product – I got my original Hibermate several years ago and wore it out to where it is no longer working well. head all night, and it has enhanced my sleep. It gives me a very dark and quiet environment, which is what I need to sleep. Plus, it is more comfortable than the original one I bought when I turn on my side so that I am resting directly against one of the ear muffs. I am highly sensitive to light and sound. Any small sound or small amount of light will wake me right up. Thanks for making such a great product. It helps make my life a lot easier by helping me get a good night's sleep.

Disappointing – I bought this product because I was hoping it would block street noise, but it hasn't helped much. It possibly blocks about 10% of the noise. Although it is good quality, the main purpose was not achieved, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Doesn’t work without eye mask – Not super happy. Long time from shipping from Asia. Hard to put together and can not use ear muffs without eye mask which is what I mainly bought them for.

Don't waste your money – It dose not do what they claimed it did on their ads, way too expensive and shipping takes too long, Oh, almost forgot not comfortable when resting your head on pillow. I differently do not recommend this product.

EU Expensive customs fees - Does not stop sound - not worth a penny – The Hibermate costs about 59$. Customs duties can go up to 28$ when shipped to EU. Thats 50% of the original price folks. I really think it's sad, i really hoped it would have been nice to have some comfortable ear-muffs but they are not worth a penny. Don't forget they are sold as sleep-masks (the thing that covers your eyes) .. the ear-muff-thing is an extra. I guess when you're somewhere in an outback i'll work fine.

It doesn't stop any noise, no windmill noise, no train noise, no traffic noise and not the noise of your dog snoring next to you.
