Homemaker Bagless VC45J-8AB

It's good – Nothing special and it is convenient because it is bagless. But one of the shortcomings is that it is hard to get the dirt and dust all out of the machine. There is still some dust in the corner. The power is average but it is noisy when working. Generally speaking, it is good. Show details
Homemaker bag less depends on which one you get – I have the homemaker bag less vacuum. It has the fluorescent green around the trims. Best vacuum ever. I have no problem with it and trying to buy another. I've never seen a vacuum fill up with so much dirt and dust from the carpets. Cleans the smooth floors excellent. The carpets come up fantastic I had a miele and that sits in the shed. The… Read more
Homemaker are just as good. Just look after your equipment. I'm always emptying the catcher. Easy to do. Just be careful of the clips. Get use to them. Line the triangle to the mark so no clips break. Highly recommend. From people's comments I would think it maybe an earlier brand. Look for the green trim. +++++×++
Mine just burnt a hole in my carpet :( – I only got this a couple of weeks ago was working great today within 5 mins it started smoking and I ran to turn it off as I could smell the burning and too late it had started burning through my carpet not happy as I am in a rental property Show details
So far so good – I have only used this product once so far. It worked very well ! I hope, it will not disappoint me in the future. I should write this report again in a few months time. Until then it is 4 star (one star deducted, as it is quite a job to keep the system clean) Show reply
Motor overheated and almost caught fire – Do not bother... both my daughter and I had the 2000w version...had super-duper suction when first got then, hers blew up after 13 months, mine after 16 months. Both times the motor overheated and there was a distinct rattling noise and smell of burnt electrics...unplugged ASAP and tossed in the bin as warranty expired...just spend some more money and buy a reputable brand
Threw it away – Had to replace the filters constantly in order for it to work and handling those filters are disgusting! Way worse than handling a vacuum bag! I thought the point of the bagless vacuum cleaners was to eradicate the mess. The filters and tube replacement parts are annoying to buy - can only buy from manufacturer online and pay postage costs. It's… Read more
not economical and the vacuum cleaner itself isn't so great as to suffer all these consequences. Don't buy it.
used three times motor blew out on standby! – not worth returning but used 3 times..left it plugged in..it mustve overheated the motor? because next time- wouldnt turn on at all- useless garbage.
Perfect! – Paid $50 at Kmark four months ago. Suction still good.uses it everyday. I think it does a good job for that price.we can't expect to be as good as a $600 worth of vacuum. For me,as long as it has a good suction, i don't mind to plug it in everyroom.
Recommended by God@@@ys – My wife looked at a $250 vacuum at God@@@ys for our 5 bed house and the sales person said if your going to buy that for a 5 bed house you may as well buy a $49 machine at Kmart, so she did! It's very noisy, the lead is very short so has to be plugged in , in every room but has been used every day for weeks now. We didn't expect much for $250… Read more
but saved $200 so even if our vacuum doesn't last we can hardly be disappointed at losing $49.
Can't believe how people bother giving bad reviews for these vacuums , they cost $49' The price, and that God@@@ys said go to kmart Noisy, very short lead
useless, avoid it – Purchsed this vacuum yesterday and took it back today. Despite it being a 2000w it had poor suction, it was very noisy and was impossible to pull along the floor due to poor design. The hose sits very high on it and it only has a very small front wheel, so as you pulled forward it nose planted into the floor and it tipped over, could not be used… Read more
unless you carried it. Its cheap for a reason, dont buy it.
poor design makes it impossible to pull along the floor.
Never again! – Model HMVC-0403 Homemaker Cyclonic Vacuum: Initially worked well although quite loud in operation. After about 6 uses the plastic hose broke off from the housing which connected it to the vacuum. I repaired it and was still able to use it. After 8 months of once a week house hold use the motor started arcing. There is supposed to be a 12 month… Read more
warranty but I had lost the receipt so I just threw it out and will never buy another Homemaker product...Chinese made to an inadequate standard as far as I can judge Attractive and relatively light to manoeuvre Didn't last
This would have to be the worst bag-less Vacuum cleaner I've ever used, suction is pathetic because… Read more

Ours, hardly used as a bit too heavy for me, just stopped working electrically. Dana
