CJ105 Vacuum Cleaner – I am sick and tied of buying vacuum cleaners ,,have tried a few brands that i bought on net and they do not last long at all ,,last one died at 15 months old and hardly any use ,,so i decided that i would do a check around at various stores and went to kmart to see what they had ,,i decided to buy this 2000 watt bagless and took it home ,,i am happy with it so far ,,,one thing i like is the vac tube is mounted low on this model and when using it it moves around floor with ease ,,suction is good and dirt canister is quite large compared to others ,,power cable is normal length ,,limited with fittings only a head and crevise tool ,,this vacuum is quite heavy for a plastic model,,as with all bagless keeping the filter clean is a must as they can loose suction if left to long with dirt build up,,so i hope this cleaner lasts a while as i do not want to keep buying them every 15 months ,,

for price of $79 i think it is a good deal ,,12 months warranty as per normal ,, Easy to use, suction pipe location Well this is one part i am writing ,,instuctions are not clear on the filter cleaning ,,it does not seem to have a circular paper filter like most ,,i pulled the dirt cannister out to clean after use and cleaned what i could ,,instructions say that you do this and do that but i cannot get to any other filters other than cleaning the cannister and the metal screen in it

Pick up a broom instead! – I've had problems with this vacuum cleaner from the first day used. Not only does it not work properly i.e. poor suction but the cord keeps retracting on it's own while vacuuming, causing the plug to be pulled from the power socket. This would occur 4 or 5 times while trying to vacuum one room, causing much frustration! As for the additional accessories, I thought there was a packing error with mine and that the accessories had been left out by error as I could not locate them anywhere. After 4 months of use, I knocked the vacuum into the wall and the accessories magically appeared. Hmm...

After 6 months of use, I thought I'd put the vacuum to the test. I vacuumed the bedroom thoroughly and once completed, I decided to sweep the carpet with a broom!! That's right a broom. The amount of dust that came out, made me almost fall over in shock. Hard to believe that some manual sweeping would actually clean the carpet better than an electronic vacuum cleaner.

As for the bags, these were paper. Paper bags don't keep the dust in and escaping dust can impact an already poor performing motor. And of course cause issues for those who suffer from dust allergies.

This product is one of many inferior products out there in the market being sold by places like Kmart. Retailers such as these are only damaging their reputation by selling such poor quality items. I've now sworn to never buy an electrical item from Kmart again. Lightweight

I have found floor brush to pull the lile from my carpet. It would appear that the brush does not retract far enough when attempting this operation. Is there a unit without a brush for vacuuming carpets only ?
