Hoover still working after years – I had my hoover Aura 13 years. The motor is still going strong. I had to replace the foot a few times over the years. It cleans both hard and carpet surfaces well. However now that its so old it has loose some suction. I will recommend this vacuum. Hope the later version will give me the same services. But for now I'm still hanging on to it as its still servicing my needs. Show details · 1
Dead as! – This is well designed to die after the warranty goes. Buy one but be warned - don't expect a lifetime of happy cleaning.
Never failed! Touch wood! – My Granny bought Aura for me as gift about 4 years ago now and it has been amazing! Having said that, the main cleaning head has only just snapped off (but still useable) but that was only my own fault for being so rough while cleaning, other than that, I have never had any problems and it has been the best vacuum I've ever had! Hopefully once I… Read more
replace the end of it, it will be as good as gold again! Fingers crossed......don't let me down Aura! :)
Same as everyone else 2 years old and gone! – My experience with this cleaner is the same as everyone else, 2.5 years old and it suddenly stopped while being used last week, waited for the motor to cool down and tried again but to no avail, I also foolishly bought the $199 power head to use with it and it to is now useless. I would advise people to stay away from Godfreys, as they try to… Read more
force Hoovers and Wertheim's down your throat.
The original Hoover company would be ashamed of this cheap Chinese junk. At first worked well, compact size. motor burn out after 2.5 years of moderate use.
Motor has blown soon after warranty – I bought the Hoover Aura vacuum cleaner just over 2 years ago. It was doing a OK job until now, a little after the warranty period has ended, the motor blows. I have since read many similar experiences from customers written on productreview.com.au and other review sites. The repair costs are too high so now shopping for a new vacuum. I won't be buying another Hoover. Inexpensive Unreliable, low quality
Never again – My previous purchase from Godfreys was pretty ordinary so I don't know why I gave them another chance and bought the Hoover Aura. It was noisy and I was forever bending to manually pick up bits of lint or thread. The motor went soon after the warranty ran out and Godfreys offered to fix it for $249! As if -- why would I pay over 50% of the original price to have a terrible motor fixed?! Light and compact. Suction hopeless, motor blew up.
A throw away vacuum cleaner – Purchased Hoover Aura from Godfreys after having a phillips for 15 years and electrolux for 11 years. Salesman said it was a great little Vac that I should also get many years from. Broke down when warranty ran out of course. Godfreys say it would be too expensive to fix as it is the motor and recommended I purchase a new vac. Took it to my… Read more
father inlaw who gave it a good clean and found there was a problem with the dial adjusting the suction. It is now on maximum suction and working. The Hoover Aura is too noisy (although not so noisy in a big shop). It keeps rolling upside down and onto its side and cord is short Good Suction Noisy, short cord , rolls over on its side
Broke down after 2 years – Was a good vacuum cleaner until it broke down after 2.5 years (just after warranty expired). Godfreys tell me it is the motor board and it will cost $199.00 to fix. I paid $352.95 for it. I feel ripped off. Suction was good Broke down
