Excellent – I've been using HP printers for a while now, and even though I swore I'd not get another one after my previous printer, this was just to tempting. After using it for a year, I have to say I'm glad I gave them another chance. This printer covers an amazing range of purposes: ours gets used both for printing photos, and mass-printed business letterheads, both of which are handled without major issues.

The double-sided, or duplex, printing is very useful. After doing one project where I had to print all the odd pages, and then do it all over again for the even, the ability to get it to do all of that for you is worth it.

Unfortunately, this will sometimes decide to print out a single line of random characters when there's an error, rather than displaying it on-screen. This is usually with large files, such as photos. So more often than not, the paper it destroys will be expensive photo paper.

Always make sure before you print that there's nothing remaining in the print queue. Sometimes cancelling the job, or shutting down the computer, doesn't delete old jobs. When this happens, errors always occur. Fast, good quality printing.
