I can't believe any printer could be this bad – I have had this printer for over 4 years. Wireless works intermittently. This is a known problem reported by many users. I gave up on this and just used a network cable. Scanning from PC does not work reliably. This is a known problem reported by many users. I gave up on this and just used the minimal web interface rather than HP software. Printer spends a lot of time making random noises instead of printing. Sometimes it just pauses silently for minutes. Sometimes it stops half way through a one page document. Sometimes it refuses to accept print jobs. Sometimes it stops using one of the inks even though cartridges are full. This requires multiple, lengthy, head cleaning cycles. Almost every attempt to print a document is a frustrating ordeal. I think, No, I Know that HP hates its customers.
Purchased in at ARC Computers for $255.
HP printer junk – Over 20 years I have owned many printers, H P are the worst, gimics and pre program to breakdown, had one that fIled after so many copies, pulled apart, yep blown fuse pre program to say change drum, so I changed fuse and no pro elm. I found Xerox the best then Toshiba.

buy this if u like wasting ur time – this has got to be the worst printer ive ever owned its takes me 30 minutes to convince the printer its got paper in it and when it finally gives in and decides to print something it makes noises for 5 minutes before it bothers I gave it 1 star because I couldn't give it lower hate the printer and will never buy hp again
Probably HP's worst machine built... cheap and shoddy – I have had this printer for approximately 18 months and I can say with absolute confidence and long experience with HP equipment, this has to be at the bottom in all categories. Initially when I first purchased this product for A3/A3+ printing and it's multifunctional capacity I was super excited that I could do what I needed to do in one machine, however the quality of the printing fell very short of my expectations but then again it's believed to be one of the best economical printers... seriously IT IS economical.. but that's because the output is low quality, PLUS forget doing photo's, they are shockingly bad. Then there's the scanning quality, oh boy... really bad, the worst. From day one I've hated the scanning quality output. The scanning was slow and made all my documents look patchy and grainy throughout the entire page, with the white sections of bright white paper look extremely dull and grey.. the DPI is supposed to be great but again falls very below average...
This printer actually became unusable for printing A3 and A3+ about 6 months ago as a constant papersize mismatch error message prevented these sizes to print, even after many strategies were undertaken to fix this.. including uninstalling/reinstalling, resetting the paper configurations and recallibrating. The printer takes so long to warm up and besides the clunking noise of it resetting itself after every few print jobs... it seriously shook it's booty along with every clunking and printing output, BTW that's not good. It slipped alittle to freely for my liking as it doesn't have good rubber feet to grip on smooth surfaces.
I have been using computers and office equipment for many years, I've always preferred HP above anything else I've owned or used at home and office. All my computers and previous printers including multifunctions have always been HP but I have now decided to say goodbye to this HP MFP and have now replaced it with another leading brand and couldn't be any more happier with my new change, wished I had've made the change so much sooner.. Energy efficient.... yep that about covers it. Very low quality printing and scanning output. Very unreliable and noisy... as explained above.
A very snazzy super quick A3/A4 printer – I will start with I am not a tech head.... so was very surprised when I completed the installation of this printer on 2 PCs all by myself without any glitches. It can take a while to start up but once it's operating, prints/scans are very quick and the machine is not loud. Great quality prints in black and colour too. Scanning, copying and sending faxes are so easy with the touch screen menu.
I am happy with my purchase. Easy to install and use. Super quick, quiet, and great quality prints. A bit bulky but that's what you get with an A3 capable printer. Can take a while to start up but once it's operating it's a gun!
