Keep away from HP – I purchased my HP Pavilion 2 years and 1 month ago. Today it refused to turn on - dead as a doornail. I have just paid a computer repairman to tell me the motherboard has gone. I phoned HP and they refused to help me because it's out of warrant. Absolutely no discussion. My 11 year old Dell still works like a charm. I will never buy HP again. Died after 2 years

You're protected by Consumer Law for repair and replacement for the normal expected lifetime of the product, which might be more than 2 years.

I also bought this computer just over a year ago, i had the exact same problem.

A real power house – We managed to buy this HP on a 5day special for only $1299. It's RRP is $2495. An amazing deal considering the speed of this Quad core 3.4ghz PC. When you consider it comes with a 3Gb graphics card, a BluRay burner AND 16Gb of DDR3 RAM it's incredible! Watch Harvey Norman for similar specials. A really fast, quiet, well built computer. Fast, flexible, reliable company No WiFi, no USB3
