I have just read that Huggies got top score over other brands. It has been a few years now since my kids were in nappies but I thought I would have my say. My first baby, of course new mums want the best for their babies so I bought Huggies wipes and nappies. The nappies were good at the time but the fragrance free wipes would cause my hands to… Read more
have an allergic reaction and broke my hands down with psoriasis. The fragranced ones gave my boy nappy rash. I stopped using the brand and tried others. The other brands were fine on my skin and my babies skin. I do not recommend Huggies wipes to anyone.
Harsh and very drying, not moisturising enough and rough texture. They fall apart and crumple too easily. So 80 wipes turn into 40 cos you have to double up when one or two break..Have to constantly turn bag upside down so hopefully wipe gets wet enough. “Lightly fragranced coconut oil” Not sure where that went Show details

This was horrible – So horrible the poop got all over my hands and Danny licked it off and is now sick barely any poo got on the wipe and it irritated my cheeks so now I need to spread them to stop them from itching these are horrible for their price of $50 and I’d never buy again DONT BUY THESE Show details
Gentle but crumbly – These wipes are really gentle on my little one’s skin and they do a decent job cleaning up nappy mess. I also like that they feel like you’re using just water and nothing else. The only issue is that the wipe itself breaks apart very easily and not very strong at all, so you end up having to use a few wipes and clean the bits up. If the wipe itself was changed/fixed, I would buy this all the time. Show details

Good but there's better! – I stayed with huggies frag free for the first couple months with my newborn given they have great nappies so figured wipes would be the best. I was loving them (big size, nice design, little wastage in bulk pack with unnecessary packets when refilling huggies box dispenser) until I was gifted a box of another brand (curash frag free).. Then the… Read more
flaws were highlighted - they are papery so often tear the corners trying to get out of refill dispenser and somehow the bulk pack disappears much quicker than curash so I must need more to clean up messes (must be related to the glide of wetness). I've toggled back between both brands couple times when on special but won't anymore due to price - they are good but not my number one anymore. In my recent search for the ultimate but budget friendly wipe, unexpectantly woolworths select frag free is identical to huggies frag free as they are large, papery with similar cute embossed design - now I'd consider buying that instead as they seem the same. Large wipes, cute design Texture papery so can tear, expensive, go through pack too quickly
More expensive than most and don't feel it's justified – With 2 children aged 2yo and 5mo, I have tried many brands of baby wipes. Huggies are one of the most expensive ones available in the supermarket. They are made of paper (as opposed to fabric which some others are made of). Due to this fact, they tend to tear easily, especially as they often get stuck together in the pack due to the way they are… Read more
folded.
These wipes can also be on the dry side which is sometimes better for a fairly runny dirty bottom, as it is more effective and reduces the chance of spreading the mess (sorry for TMI) - think dry sponge cleaning up wet spill as opposed to damp sponge cleaning up wet spill - obviously the drier sponge is more effective.
For other purposes they tend not to be as good. For example, I use baby wipes to wipe mess off clothes, furniture, carpet, car seats and anywhere else kids like to leave put their dirty hands, snotty noses etc.. but as these are made of paper, the paper rubs off and leaves white marks on everything.
I do love the packaging though (as pictured) of the coloured hand prints.
I would potentially still buy if on sale but would probably never pay full price for. Good for wet dirty nappies, nice packaging, readily available. Relatively expensive, tears easily, paper rubs off on fabric surfaces.
Good – I asked my sister to get me some baby wipes the other day and I had to sigh when she brought back one of the hard plastic Huggies dispensers with wipes in it. The reason being they are fairly expensive for what they are. I feel the embossed teddy bears are a bit over the top for wiping a baby bottom. If this is what I am paying for I would rather… Read more
they were plain. I also find these wipes too large and thick for a newborn baby bottom. You really need something that can 'get in there'. They are quite good to use on older babies but being so large I feel like they are wasted a bit (you don't use much of the wipe). I always use sensitive wipes so I can't comment on the fragrance but I have not have problems with nappy rash when I use them. Having said this though I do not use these for a long period of time as I have a cheaper brand I am happy with. I have used the Huggies dispense in the past for making my own wipes in. Great for older babies. Too big and thick for newborns. Expensive.

Lovely and smelling nice – I bought the coconut oil version and it smells great. Has not caused any rash yet and cleans well while keeping the skin hydrated. I find it useful as a cold compress when bub has a red bottom. Show details
Good Nappy wipe – Been using these on my granddaughter and find they have a pleasant smell and are easy to use in their resealable packet. The only thing I find not so great is they are not really big enough and will take a couple of nappy wipes to get her clean. Have had no trouble with these at all Show details
Baby baby baby – I just love Huggies any product of Huggies my whole family have used Huggies for years now and I'm doing the same I would pay the extra dollar to get Huggies wipes
Negative reviews
Irritating, caused red skin. Not effective – Made my baby’s skin red and irritated. They also feel very dry and don’t clean well. Will personally never put on my baby again. Bunjie wipes are much better and not irritating at all. Show details
Gives terrible rash at the bump – I was trying to figure out what is giving my son a rash on his bump and finally figure out it was the Huggies wipes. Please do not use this product. I wish I would have read the comments here earlier as I’ve used them for far too long till my son got a blister. Show details

Don't Buy These For Your Baby – These have to be the worst wipes I’ve come across and I regret buying them and not listening to my friends advice. My daughter has never had any issues with baby wipes and we have tried multiple brands. Because we use Huggies nappies and these were on special in bulk I thought we’d give them a go and within less than a week she has a massive rash… Read more
appear on her bum and in the creases near her bit. As soon as we stopped using them and switched back to our old brand it went away instantly! These should not be allowed on the market with so many complaints coming back about them.

Please don’t use these huggies water wipes – It gave terrible rash to my daughter. Absolutely no to this product. Show details
Cause redness – If you have a new born, don’t try your luck with huggies wipes! We used it for a day and my baby’s bum was red and started to bleed a little and he screams every time we change him. I gave it a 2stars because I’d find their designs better than some others it was easy to pull out. And your baby might not sensitive to it. Show details
Rash Inducing Wipes – As many others have posted, these wipes (fragrance free) caused a horrible red rash on my child's bottom. Never had issues like this until I used these wipes. I've now eliminated them and started back using the Aldi fragrance free wipes and the rash is already noticeably better within a day. Will never use them again and will not recommend them to anyone. Not as bad as Johnson's wipes – Our youngest is sensitive to these wipes and gets itchy redness on skin that is exposed. I did not rate it terrible as the reaction is a mere shadow of the painful burn-like rash inflicted by Johnson's sensitive baby wipes and our oldest daughter is fine with them. As a wipe they are good for dealing with the bottom end (providing your child is… Read more
not sensitive to them), however I found them to be not moist enough to deal with baby post meal time clean-up.
Absolutely horrific product – Absolutely terrible. Wondered what gave our 2 week old such a horrible burn like rash on her bum and by elimination realised it was these wipes. So cruel to see and worse still to listen to her cries of agony due to the chemical like burn. Will never purchase again, however they should be removed from the market so this cannot happen to anyone else Show details
If I could give Zero stars I would…. 3 year old with special needs, never had nappy rash until now – I’ve spent three years keeping my girl nappy rash free. Third nappy change with these and she has the sorest bottom ever. Will be returning the other 5 x 3 packs and never purchasing another Huggies product again.
Not even deserve 1 star! Horrible nappy rash – After 1 week using Huggies Fragrance free wipes, my new born baby developed horrible nappy rash. The wipes contain chemical which irritate skin, I tried to use it on myself to see if the wipes is safe to use ; and I can feel the burning and tightening feeling afterwards, the rash improved after we stop using the Huggies wipes, but still very… Read more
hard on bub as she still have to wear nappies and it doesn't help for quick healing . I feel so upset to see my baby discomfort and in pain.
Gave my little one Diaper Rash – I used Huggies Wipes to give it ago. Then not even a week later it gave my little one diaper rash which he never had before, Never again using Huggies. Show details

Too rough – Not good for newborn baby. Everytime I used it to my 6 weeks old baby, horrible rashes developed and poor wee girl suffers pain and agony. The surface is too rough on skin because of its thickness. I tried different types of their wipes and the result still the same. I will never use it again. Wont recommend it to anyone. Show details
Wouldnt be using it again – We tried the Huggies Mickey Mouse packing wipes, Within hours started seeing a rash occurring. By the next morning it was all over my baby bottom an genitals causing her pain and discomfort. she is only 6 weeks old poor baby cries!! These products are not safe for my baby. No happy at all Show details
Horrible cancer causing ingredients – Don't use this product on your baby's it causes server nappy rash and soaks into your baby's skin over time causing dangerous reactions to some children and the ingredients are not healthy to be pushing on your baby's skin normal baby wipes burn my face I can't use them on my children there not healthy I recommend water wipes to all mother's Show details
Huggies PBH wipes vs Huggies cocconut wipes – I absolutely love Huggies Cocconut wipes, no irritation, smell nice and are thick, I decided to give Huggies PBH wipes ago as they are supposed to be more sensitive, water wipes the wipes are super thick, dry, coarse and cause irritations, it's like wiping a bottom with a sheet of sandpaper. I had thought that with the price difference between the… Read more
two with the PBH sensitive wipes being $2 dearer a packet that they would be a better wipe, I was weong as this is not the case. If im to use Huggies wipes ill be sticking to the cocconut wipes.
Horrible! – Really dry compared to the Silk brand, so I find it grips to the skin a lot more. Noticed that when I started using these wipes, my daughter had started developing a small rash but thought it was due to not changing her nappys straight after she’s peed, etc. But now her rash has become incredibly inflamed, raised, bumpy and red the more I use the… Read more
wipes! And I know it irritates her because she tries to scratch it every chance she gets. I used these wipes on my NB son for the first time the other day due to running out of the Silk wipes and it ended up pulling a little bit of his skin off in between his pelvis crease.
Big 0/10 if I could. They are horrible.
Won’t be using again! – My poor son has been in such pain after the huggies wipes have caused him nappy rash. His bottom and testicals are blistered and bleeding from this product. From process and elimination I’ve found it was the wipes. When I changed brand it got better. Out of desperation I used them again as it’s all I had left, and once again, he’s in agony. Wouldn’t recommend huggies to anyone. Ever. Show details
Not my favourite – I feel like when I first started using huggies wipes - they were thicker and I didn't need to use as many as I do with new ones. My pet hate is that SOOOOOO many come out when you just want one. The new Coles ones make it possible to just pull out one wipe at a time, I don't know why it's so hard for other companies to do this. I am often… Read more
changing one handed (holding feet with other hand) and I just need one more wipe but I'll get 3 or 4.
I like the huggies containers though - they're useful.
Used to be good but are horrible now – We used the bulk packs less then a year ago and then changed to the Aldi wipes due to price. Unfortunately Aldi are out of stock and we bought the huggies wipes ago..... They are now thinner and drier and horrible to wipe with. They grip the skin and have no moisture. What an expensive waste of money!
Okay wipes – Love the coconut smell but the wipes it self are weak and tear easily. Packing is okay but when taking actual wipes out it’s very fragile which is not great when using on children. Wipes do smell nice but are a bit too wet and having to squeeze out excess when using.
The product is not bad but the packaging is horrible – I bought a box of these wipes from costco the packaging is absolutely horribble... each pack is wripped from the 1st time use!!! Im very disappointed at this product ill never buy it again such a waste!!!! I threw out most of it because once the pack is open the wipes dries out and becomes useless
Not safe NEED TO BE RECALLED!! – Tried using the Huggies Mickey Mouse brand. Within hours started seeing a rash occurring. By the next morning it was all over my son bottom an genitals causing him pain and discomfort l. He is only 2 months an the same thing happened when I used the huggies pampers when he was a newborn. He kept getting a rash. These products are not safe for my baby.
Huggies aren’t safe – Huggies have made my son bleed used it only ONCE and automatically started getting red and slightly bloodly. I freaked out and took him a shower ( he was only 2-3 weeks old ) . Now my son is almost 2 and someone went behind my back and used huggies wipes and of course my son is bleeding again . And my son is NOT allergic to anything . This product… Read more
just isn’t safe and right now I know a few childeren that it’s happening too . This is why I only use PARENT CHOICE . But now my son is bleeding and in pain might just head to the hospital like last time because of HUGGIES product .
Best wipes by far – I’ve tried a lot of different wipes and these have been the best by far. Other wipes I’ve tried have given my kids nappy rash or given me dermatitis or taken a HEAP of wipes to actually clean their bottoms. Haven’t had any of these problems with Huggies though. Every time I try a different brand of wipes I regret it and end up coming back to Huggies. Bit more expensive than other options out there, but they’re worth it.
