I loove my Sultan mattress!!! – I am soooo sad It has been discontinued. I love it so much. I've had it for 10 years, (don't judge me) it's so comfy, ofcourse I've rotated it, I'm a big girl, but I refuse to give it up until I find my next favorite mattress. Ugh!!! Wahh!! Show details

Best ever! – This is top notch for my comfort. I am in the process of purchasing 3 more for my guess rooms. I've had the mattress for over four years and it has not sagged at all. Worth the price.  Show details

After 6 years it is not worth the money – Never ever buy a mattress from IKEA. This has been the worst matters I've ever owned. I should've known better. I sleep better everywhere else except at home. I will be replacing this mattress very soon. Don't bother buying this mattress. Be smart.  Show details

Good for first year, then not so good – Like a previous reviewer here, I completely agree. I bought this mattress because it felt firm yet supple. And it was that way for about a year. But now it stays mushy in the middle and uncomfortably uneven overall and not very good for one's back. As a previous poster noted, the price was not too expensive, but I will not buy another Ikea mattress again.

Good for the 1st Year and 1/2 – Due to excellent reviews on this very site I took the plunge and purchased the queen size mattress. For the first year of ownership it was outstanding. It did not sag. It had the proper amount of firmness and just the right amount of give (consistent with showroom experience). Immediately thereafter I could feel the depressions in the foam slowly… Read more

holding as I got up out of bed. Nearing the two-year mark, I can now feel a distinct ridge on the mid-axis of this mattress and the previously firm, body contouring memory foam has lost its finesse. I'm now searching for a replacement. Given the [relative] cheap price of the mattress initially, I'm not fuming, but I have no plans to purchase another IKEA memory foam mattress at this time.

Hills and Gullies – We experienced the same development of hills and depressions in the foam; inadequate density for folks over 140 lbs. Only two and one half a year old and have to replace it. It is certainly not worth the money we spent, and is not worth any money to purchase it.

Best mattress of my life – Bought in 2009 and no regrets. It is so comfortable. No partner disturbance. The memory foam is fantastic, no long term dips, always fresh. Conducive to sleep! any guests who have stayed always compliment. And it has a removable cover you can wash.

Awesome – Never slept better, once my head hits the pillow i'm out for the night. I've had it for 4 years now, and would definitely buy again. It's firm, but not too firm, sinks in just enough on pressure points to prevent joint pain. Too bad IKea canada doesn't sell any more, because i'd like to buy another one when this one wears out. Nothing.

Oh my aching back – This mattress has developed depressions where I sleep. It has a manufactured date of 2013 but it is terrible. I have rotated it so now both side have gullies. The ridge between the gullies feels like a mountain. Terrible mattress.

Best mattress EVER – I did not have thousands to spend on a mattress so I went to ikea and lay on just about every one they had. Flokenes was one of the more expensive ones but it was super comfy. I bought it. It did take a few nights to get used to it. I find it amazingly supportive and yet it molds to your body. My husband is a pretty warm sleeper and he doesn't… Read more

find it too warm. We are both mostly side sleepers btw. We've had it for nearly a year now, and we love it. Firm yet yielding for the hip and shoulder. cheaper than other memory foam options, Nothing

Love this mattress – I just bought this mattress and the last 2 nights slept like a rock. I'm a back and side sleeper and have been dealing with lower back issues. I also purchased the mem foam back/side sleeper pillow from IKEA for $14.99 and with the bed, it's all lala land and ZZZZZZZzzzzzss. Love it! Contours to body with excellent support

does a great job – I bought it in size 140x200cm in January from IKEA Graz. I really like this product. It feels hard, but it fits your body contour very good. So it is first hard, then it feels soft (cause the memory layer fits the body contour) until it feels hard again. I am lying most time on the side and on the back. I was searching in a lot of shops for a… Read more

good mattress and this one was love on the first look. I like to sleep in it.

The mattress is very heavy and not easy to transport in this size.

People they get very hot when the sleep, may try Heggedal from IKEA. For the quality a good price.

This mattress ruined my marriage – If you are interested on preserving your marriage, do not buy this mattress. I used to consider myself pretty adept in bed. While I was not exactly Casanova, I could always get the job done. We bought this mattress about 8 days ago...and now, instead of the enamorous sounds of the night, I am met with....snoring. My wife falls asleep within… Read more

minutes of hitting this mattress, and it might as well be a dead person next to me. She sleeps soundly through the night, and not even my usual successful advances can arouse her. Please...if you value your love life, do not buy this mattress. Save yourself!! affordable, comfortable no more fun!

Good – I bought this mattress about 6 months ago after my 10+ year old spring mattress started to hurt my back, and I'd often wake up in winter cold despite having flannel sheets and a thick doona. This mattress is great - I haven't had any back pain since I started sleeping on it, and it keeps me warmer because it's a foam mattress. (I feel the cold.)… Read more

I'm very happy with this mattress.

The Ikea website has a simple "mattress selection wizard" that suggests 3-4 mattresses that may suit your sleeping style, weight, etc. I tried them all, and bought the Flokenes because it felt the most supportive. (And I lay there like a goose in the store for a good 15-20 minutes on each one!) Good price. Medium firm mattress. The memory foam is great. Perfect for side sleepers, and if you feel the cold. The double can be easily moved by just one person. Mattress can be exchanged after 3 months if you're not happy. (Keep your receipts!) Not reversible (i.e. you can only sleep on one side of the mattress). Mattress needed to be aired for a week before use due to the off-gassing. Not the "greenest" option available.

Terrible!! Sultan Flokenes Memory Foam Mattress – I've had this mattress just over 1 year and can no longer sleep through the night. I now wake up with back pain every morning! Don't buy this mattress. It has a low price for a reason. I have emailed Ikea to see what they can do for me. I know I have passed the 90 day return policy, but I thought I'd get at least 5 yrs out of it. Lost all support just after 1 year

Terrible – Too too too too hard...Lots of body aches in the am! choose a different one! If you like this mattress in the store- be sure to double check if there is a topper or something on it..because mine sure felt nothing like the one in the store somewhat natural materials goodness- Like sleeping on the floor! The mattress is so hard that it presses the… Read more

This mattress is outstanding! – We did tons of research to find a mattress comparable to the tempurpedic line. We found out that Ikea had several foam mattresses that were just as good as the expensive tempurpedics at a frction of the cost. So we traveled the 200 miles to the nearest Ikea to get it and it was worth the effort. This mattress gave me the best night's sleep I've… Read more

had in years I didn't wake up stiff or sore at all. I literally popped out of bed with no pain or anything. It was simply amazing. Some people say that the bed sleeps warm but I didn't notice that. I didn't get hot or anything and I sleep with a down comforter and a thick bedspread. I highly recommend this mattress! Inexpensive, extremely comfortable
