Ilve X 90

Four years old and the fan buttons won't stay in – We have the IVSG900 90cm. Worked fine and then suddenly, one by one in a matter of a week, all of the fan buttons refuse to stay in. The fan itself works, but will only do so if you stand there holding one of the buttons in, which is totally useless when you're cooking. Show details

Looks great, but failed right after the warantee period – Lights stopped working after 2 years, just a few months after the service period was over. Tech suggested that it can be one of 3 parts that could be at fault - selector switch (board), the PCB (board) or the transformer however in some cases it can be all 3 parts. If it's not a part sometimes there ca be a connection that is loose. Show details

Had it for 9 years and worked well – Easy to clean and even though ours wasn't fluted and it was quite noisy (no fluting), it worked well for 9 years. I am having issues with letting it go, as we will be renovating and may not work with the look of the new kitchen. Easy to clean the filters in the dishwasher and the top with a bit of oil. (yes, oil removes oil and dust and leaves it sparkling again). I cook a lot of fish and fry quite a bit. Never an issue with cleaning.  Show reply

Maybe good, but – The stated exhaust volume is correct - but only at the end of the motor. I couldn't work out why, after installation, mine didn't perform as well as the one at the Harvey Norman store. Turns out that I have 2.5 metres of flue and one bend. Ilve pushes air from...), and are rated at the motor on the outside wall AFTER fluing. Go look.

I do like that I can place the stainless filters into the dishwasher to clean. I don't like the stainless outer surface. because the unit doesn't extract air very well, the exterior accumulates oil vapour and then dust. And, it isn't an easy surface to clean. looks stylish. exhaust motor undersized for a modern open plan house.

Love it, looks brilliant! and it works! – Have been using this rangehood for nearly 5 years - really impressive - very powerful but not too noisy (I've never had to use more than about Speed 2) and it still looks modern and stylish - filters clean easily in dishwasher and outer stainless steel is easy to wipe over. Excellent – I love this rangehood, and will certainly get a similar model when we build our new home. Has retained it's modern look even though it's a couple of years old. Fantastic "real" european appliance. Absolutely love this rangehood. Great extraction. Easy to clean. Removable filters (3) for cleaning. Looks great. Quality Ilve product. None.... nothing to dislike.
