Good product – Like SkiTragic our DFG 261 has performed faultlessly since June 2011, cost $600. It now seems to not want to do the dry cycle. We'll try it without the dry cycle and if not satisfactory try for a repair but I suspect will be advised to 'buy a new one'.

Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $600.

Our Indesit Dishwasher has been excellent – The model we have is DFG 261 and is 11 years old. Other than a broken handle spring, it has performed perfectly all that time, until yesterday. I suspect getting 11 years out of a dishwasher is okay. We will review repair vs replacment and if we do replace it, we will buy another Indesit model.

Purchased in for $750.

Can’t live without it – After going without a dishwasher for 2 years, this appliance has been a God send. It was great value for money, it cleans quickly, quietly and most importantly, thoroughly. Our new dishwasher can fit loads of washing up in one load and has adjustable height racks. It fits perfectly and is highly recommended.

Did not work at all – After 30 min in its first run stopped and showed error F03. Called the manufacturer, they gave me another number to call for service assistance. Asked me to send an email to X support area and register warranty. Registered my warranty in their website, and got no response - not even an automated email. Thankfully there was still time to ask for a refund/replacement from the store. Got a new one, from another brand. Indesit again? No, thanks...

Does the job – In comparison to other dishwashers I have owned this machine does not hold much. The top level can be height adjusted but lowering it to fit tall glasses means the bottom shelf is significantly reduced in function. Without the lowered top shelf only 12cm high objects can be placed in it. The digital timer flashes when the machine is on. The only way to turn the flashing off is to turn the machine off. It can be a bit confusing choosing the programme to use and in order to work it out requires a bit of button pressing and dial turning.

The soap dispenser does not pop open reliably so often there is a dishwasher tablet still stuck in the dispenser at the end of the cycle.

This machine cleans very well however even when the dishwasher tablet has not dissolved.

Pieces of plastic have fallen off this machine without too much banging. Cleans well Plasticy, doesn't fit much

I had an Indecit dishwasher for years. Then I replaced with a Dishlex and then I replaced that one with a Westinghouse. The Westinghouse ceased up after only a little over a year. I'd like to purchase another Indecit. Great dishwasher. When we still were selling Milk in bottles, the bottles got washed in the Indecet dishwasher.Gave a beautiful wash.Would buy another one, if they're still available.Regards Hilary Edwick.
