They say compare with us and save so that’s exactly I did and this is what I got. Received comparison from Budget direct (used to be good but rip Off now a days) and oceania INSURANCE Comprehensive cover $5245/ANNUALLY $5912/ANNUALLY $1000 Excess for both. Insurance companies are ripping off their coustmers to fill their pockets, their profits are rising and they’d CEOs should be investigated. I would avoid iselect from now on.
Time wasters – I was enticed to enquire about Home and Contents Insurance on iSelect by a graph on their website saying that average premiums in WA were $724. So I spend 15 minutes to type in all my details, to receive three quotations of over $1900. I don't live in a mansion! They gave very misleading information on their website. Show details

TV ad. He returned to the phone and stated they would not make a payment as the Gold hospital only cover was excluded from their offer. After contacting Product Review iSelect offered the promised $52.00 It agreed to pay $55.00 which came in the form of a credit with Prezzee. The situation trying to obtain my Prezzee was horrendous from the start. After almost 4 hours over 2 days and involving several supposedly customer service live consultants both with Prezzee and Giftcard.com I finally have my gift cards. The Prezee agents kept switching me back to AI when they could not resolve the issue. One even told me I could not get Coles gift cards. Never again. Both iSelect and Prezzee need to have a good look at themselves.

Warning - dishonest advice. Recently I was talked by iSelect into switching my Health insurance from HCF to BUPA. BUPA. I was assured that it would be. However, today, after my first visit for a dental checkup this year, I was charged $67.60 out-of-pocket costs. Apparently, iSelect rep failed to mention that 100% cover would be provided only if I were to attend BUPA dental clinic. In other words I could not choose my own preferred dentist with BUPA's cover. Now I'll be switching back to HCF with a loss of about $200 total because I had prepaid my cover with HCF before April 1 at the old rate. I do understand that iSelect rep very much wanted to get the commissions, but why I should pay for it. I lodged the complaint with iSelect, but reply is not coming for 2–3 weeks. Shame on you iSelect - you now lost me as one of yours long-standing customer.

outcome was I Select is not Like for Like they run on commision so the benifets are less than what Bupa proper sell in their products. The reason they call you so quickly is because they dont want you the have time to compare between several fund companies. When I tried to cancel the policy they gave me the run around in the end I went to Bupa itself office in the shopping centre to have the policy cancelled. My advice look at all the health funds what they offer what suits on the funds main website for each dont get caught up with this I Select scam.

Due to the complexity of product offerings in the health cover market, we used iselect to find a better policy…..what a nightmare….not only did they not find us the best policy, they mislead us on the one they did find, losing us significant changeover bonuses….we had to cancel and go back to square one…..never ever again

Would have given a 5 star rating of the customer service officer had got our last names correct. I specifically told him that my last name was spelt in two words but it turned out being joined. According to your AI chat box, I would have to go provide supporting documentation to correct this which seems unfair to me as the officer got our last names incorrectly spelt in the first place. If you are thinking of switching insurance company through Iselect, please ask the actual premium you got to pay after adding Lifetime Health Cover Loading. I don't want any customer mistakenly think that new premium with the new insurance company is lower with a new policy with a new insurance company. You may end up paying way more than staying with your existing insurance company.

They phoned me dozens of times with fake numbers. I asked them to stop but they persist in calling even after telling them I have no interest in their services. I have blocked all the numbers they call from, and if you return some of the calls, you find out the number is just a spoofed number. I personally think this badgering of people should be considered harassing and be deemed a criminal offence.

I purchased life insurance through iselect. They recommended AIA Advantage Plus cover. We discuss what I would need to do to make a claim. I was assured that my family could make a claim if I became terminally ill. happen if I was unable to communicate to make a claim because I was ever in a coma and couldn’t communicate. AIA checked with the claims team and said yes, your wife/next of kin and named beneficiary could make a claim if you can’t communicate because yours in a coma.
Well, I was dying in a coma from “terminal heart failure” and “cardiogenic shock”. All documented by the ICU Drs and end stage heart failure team. My wife tried to claim, with hospital social worker and student social worker present on a speakerphone call.
AIA refused to even generic questions. AIA did NOT keep the phone call recording because it was erased. AIA did NOT check the this out by contacting the hospital social worker. AIA REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE CLAIM.
All of this is unlawful in Australia. All of this denied access to the claims process. All of this guaranteed that my family did NOT have peace of mind when I was dying in a coma.
Can anyone trust AIA insurance?
iselect no longer sell life insurance on their own. My union-owned health insurance company no longer sells AIA life insurance products.

First phone calll from iSelect came in about 10 seconds after I entered my phone number… I had not even had time to read any of the information they sent.
Then the phone calls keep coming, at about hourly intervals, with slight variations on their Caller ID so you can’t block them.
I will never touch iSelect again.
