Milk Frothing

Great to begin with but constant troubles – Purchased our Millenium 5 years ago from Segafredo Zanetti Coburg where we received instruction on how to use it an clean it (although we have had other espresso machines). Had to have the unit repaired twice (aside from annual servicing) costing us hundreds of dollars each time. We clean the unit thoroughly and regularly but the pressure is poor and diminishes to the point where an espresso is watery and sour and milk does not froth enough. We have a Eureka grinder which works brilliantly and the grind is not the problem. Now facing another repair (5 months since the last one). Would not buy an Isomac again as it is expensive to buy and to maintain. Also, I would not purchase from Segafredo Zanetti Coburg as they refuse to take any responsibility, are slow to service and charge $60 each time to look at it.

Purchased in at Segafredo Zanetti Coburg for $2,000.

I am very happy with my new machine – I am very happy with my new machine. It allows me to really control the quality of my espresso which leads to many enjoyable drinks. The beauty of the machine is also a pleasure. Excellent machine, compact and efficient. Need a good grinder. Produces great espresso shots and superb milk frothing.

My daily fix – I had a rancilio for years before i got this and the upgrade was night and day. Boiler pressure is fantastic, i recently had to make coffee for 5 guests and it didn't skip a beat. Pours are consistent and clean, the only time you will have a bad coffee is user error. Cleaning and service are a breese if you are mechanically minded as with all e61 heads.

Beautiful and makes a good espresso – It's a beautiful shiny machine and makes a good espresso just make sure everything is very hot (mine is paired with a Eureka Mignon grinder) but be careful not to burn yourself on the exposed grouphead. The boiler (steam) is a little small to effectively texture large quantities of milk, but it is a home machine. It looks great and performs ok, is difficult to keep clean (lots of stainless steel and awkward angles to shine) but has a good sized water container. I ended up replacing with a single group commercial machine as the isomac would run out of "puff" making large quantities of milk at parties

fantastic coffee machine – Easy and simple to use. Great fun and no regrets. If you're thinking about buying this, just do it. I went to buy a couple of kilos of freshly roasted coffee at bonissimo Osborne Park, WA and walked out with a new coffee machine. If you are currently using an automatic or a pod machine, this will make you appreciate coffee and the art of making coffee. The guys at bonissimo really looked after me and ongoing great service. I dealt with Gulio for the purchase. Tell him Lorenzo sent you.
