Issy Bear Day Pocket

I use these ones first – I have been using these nappies for 6 months and found them to be very absorbent, comfortable and they are very cute on! I am a first time mum so have nothing to compare with but here goes... I have Cushie Tushie Chameleon and Issy Bear Pocket OSFM nappies in my "stash". I found these nappies far too bulky on my 3.8kg newborn so put them away… Read more
til he was 5kg. A few leaks to start with as the nappies washed in and I got better at putting them on. Used a night insert for a couple of months until my baby started wetting through - he would also wet through the next size up Huggies at this stage too so can't blame the nappies! (Two disposables was the solution!) Baby is now 11kg and still have one button done up at the front and lots of room to grow. These nappies will fit him longer than the Cushie Tushies which are smaller, something to consider if you have a big baby too.
I love the fact that I don't have a huge bag of landfill at the end of each day like I do when using disposables, and will continue to use these nappies.
There are a couple of down-sides though:
Washing... (but it means I wash every day which has meant I need fewer clothes for baby - everything is recycled daily!)
The Issy Bear nappies are a more slim-line fit than the CT's meaning clothes fit better (modern clothes aren't designed to be used with cloth nappies in many cases).
Pocket nappies very easy to put on a wiggly baby.
No leaks on my 8 week old – I'm new to cloth nappies - new to nappies, even new to babies - and I found the Issy Bears to fit well, absorb the heavy wee from my 8 week old, and are easy to do up. I have been using the OSFM Pocket nappies and the AI2 (which are a little slimmer). The rise snaps allow the nappy to fit on such a small body, but the nappy is still large enough… Read more
to contain any pooslosions....and there have been some.
I found I was able to get a better fit quicker with the velcro versions, as these are more like disposables. The minky fabric stays nice and soft and fluffy after washing and line drying & is a good quality compared to other brands. Able to boost nappies into a night nappy by swapping inserts. Drying time of insert, a little bulky in between the legs, and more expensive than other nappies I have been buying.
Best MCN Ever! – Highly absorbant, high quality workmanship, comfortable on baby and toddler alike. No worries with Issy bears! I love the different designs and can't stop buying Issy Bears!! With Night insert, the nappy lasts up to 12 hours, but baby still dry, and he's never had any nappy rash!! Have to keep watch on the website for new prints and be quick,… Read more
they sell fast! absorbant, great fitting, comfortable nappy. What more could you want? I am addicted and cant stop buying more!!
Best Cloth Nappy Available – I love Issy Bears! They're trim, absorbent, fit well, are hand made in Australia with meticulous care, and are adorable! They are the complete package, and will not let you down. My son is an extremely heavy wetter, and he uses these full time. He sleeps in the night nappy for 12 hours straight, and we've never had a leak (he has out-wet… Read more
disposables several times).
The prints are the cutest I've seen - I pray for hot weather so that I can just put a t-shirt and his nappy on, and his outfit is complete!!! The ladies at Issy Bears have exemplary customer service skills, and I've never been disappointed.
Do yourself a favour, and try these!!! Absorbent, OSFM, adorable patterns, outer is dry in a couple of hours, so you can re-use with a new insert, extremely well made, Aussie company and made here. They're completely addictive!
Excellent – I've been using disposables at night (I only have 1 of your night nappies and cant wash it quick enough!!) and last weak we had leaking/overflowing nappies each time I used the disposable - my bub is a big night time wetter - your nappy hasn't even come close to leaking! I would happily recommend Issy Bear Nappies over others for both price and… Read more
reliability! I got the nappies last week - love the minky ones - they are so soft and adorable..in fact they are all beautiful. My husband thinks the nappies are so great he reckons they are too nice to get rid of when our baby girl grows out of them- which then sparked a conversation as to whether we should have another baby - just so we can keep using your nappies!
Excellent – I love these cute nappies. Not only are they cost effective, come in great fabrics. they are easy to use. I have not once had a problem with leaking evn using the nightime nappies. I am also doing my bit for the enviroment and saving money. I have about 24 nappies with no need for disposables, even on long car trips.LOVE THEM. cost, cute, enviromentaly friendly and actually work I cant think of any
Excellent – Absolutely great nappies - I would recommend and I will definitely buy again! We originally bought about 14 or so - both day and night ones. They are all so pretty! They last a really long time and bub seems very comfortable in them. If we have a boy next time we will definitely buy more of these - if we have a girl we won't need to because the… Read more
ones we have already got have kept so well! Just about everything! These nappies are so darn cute! They come in so many different colours and patterns! They are very absorbent and very easy to use - daddy proof! They are nice and easy to clean and don't take too long to dry on the line. Very exciting to use as they are so cute! It was nice to be able to show off to all our friends as they really do look so nice. They sit well and don't rub or irritate bub's skin. They are very soft and gentle. I am sure that it is the same as every cloth nappy - the inserts are a little stained from those number twos. As the instructions say not to soak and not to use nappy solution etc I haven't and the inserts are a little off coloured. When bub was very little we didn't want to use these as the whole cloth nappy was half as big as bub! We had been told you can fold it down to use it for newborns, but found it was easier to just use disposable nappies while she was little.
Excellent – Very reliable nappy, easy to use with snaps or velcro. (OSFM) One size fits most, so economical, the same nappies fits my 10 month old and 3 year old. Pocket style is easy to clean. Highly recommended! Very simple pocket cloth nappy system. Version 2s come with two inserts and can be used for day and night use. The minky nappies with both inserts… Read more
last on my daughter for 13 hours with no sign of leaking! These were the only reusable nappies that convinced me to stop using disposables at night. Nothing! (or that I can't buy every single print because there are always new ones!)
Such a great nappy! – I love our Issy Bears! They're so cute! Reliable! We have trouble finding OSFM that will fit my 14.5kg, 18month old son and these do! They come in great prints and they're Aussie designed! Great prints!
Excellent – These are the nappies we use first out of our pile - so our favourites. They are the most reliable nappies we've found, look good, easy to look after and there is quick customer service. Am recommending these to friends. Good fit (was worried about fit as one size), no leaks, more absorbent than other pocket nappies I've used. Locally made and… Read more
owned. Cheap price when compared to others (not effected by exchange rate) Look good and feel nice. Inserts dry fast than others of similar absorbancy Relatively new so I have a pile of other brand nappies I had already bought
Excellent – The Issy Bear nappies come in such a great variety of prints and look great on baby. I've been using these nappies since bubs was 2 months old and they fit extremely well and looks like they will last for a long time to come. Love that they're one size and they look gorgeous. Love the range of prints that these nappies come in. The cost is… Read more
economical if you consider that these will last from newborn to toilet training. I don't have enough of these nappies!
The best modern cloth nappy I have found! – Issy Bears are our favourite nappy and we have tried so many different brands! Finally a nappy that is absorbent without being bulky or complicated. We even use the day nappies at night on our 8 week old and have never once had a leak from Issy Bears. Would recommend these nappies to anyone with absolute confidence. Thank you Issy Bear! :) Very… Read more
