Rubbish – If you have one, take my advice and throw it away immediately and go buy yourself one thats worth the money. Useless little piece of junk this was, it couldn't even pick up hair I'd have to pick up the hair and other bits and feed it into the mouth of the little bugger. Couldn't wait to throw it away. Show details

It sucks…because it doesn't! – Purchased for cleaning the car floor mats without having to cart the household vacuum cleaner outside. The handvac is supplied with an easy-to-mount wall hanger/charger for storage. The Instruction booklet says it has an “Advanced Lithium-ion rechargeable battery for superior run time and suction power.” It also states “This portable handvac is… Read more

only designed to pick up dry debris such as dirt, dust, pet hair and food crumbs. It is suitable for use on counters, floors, rugs, carpet, car interior and upholstery.” The specified ’Two speed suction – ‘High 11V’ and ‘Low 7.2V’ provides a choice of ‘virtually no suction’ and ‘absolutely none at all.’ Neither the crevice tool nor the brush accessory each included improved the suction power to any useful level. Because it’s necessary to run the unit over and over and over the same area trying to pick up a fairly typical sort of sprinkling of dust and sand from car carpets, the charge is gone well before there is any discernible difference. You’d probably get a better result using the spine of the instruction book to round up the dust. This is one of those rare instances when you wish that a product sucks…but it’s the one thing it can’t do!

Absolutely a piece of junk – I was using this vacuum clean my room while the head unit was dropped on the floor after I took it up and just realized that was being cracked, can't reused at all. Show details

Great little vac for the price – We bought this hand held vacuum as we're sick of getting out the main vac just for a few localised spillages and clean ups etc. We use it on the carpet and on vinyl floor for maily cat fur and other detritus that gets dragged inside, and this vac does exactly what we want it to do and very admirably.  Show details

Great for cleaning fabrics – I got this vacuum because it has a gentle suction and is great for cleaning material items like curtains, pillows and chairs, as it is not a high enough suction to ruin the material, but still cleans dust and bits effectively and is quick and convenient. The small pop-out nozzle has also made is convenient to clean small areas in the lounge, in… Read more

the car, or a small mess on the carpet or tiles, without the need to take out the heavy vacuum, broom+dustbin, cloth, etc. This is the quickest, most effective solution. The vacuum is light enough for me to use for quite a while, easy to carry around and it is not too noisy.

The human gene pool needs cleaning - great little vac – The overwhelming stupidity of people always amazes. For those complaining about the flip-over nozzle, it doesn't take a Harvard degree to figure out. Flip it over and click it in place like any other extension. It's a great feature and saves me carrying the nozzle around. When you are done pull it forward and flip it back to it's storage position.… Read more

For those complaining about the power, it's a 12 volt unit. That's what 12 volts gets you. It's elementary science. You want more power, pay for higher voltage. Thanks for a great, little unit Kambrook. Please get your R&D team to develop one to clean up the gene pool :)

Do not buy - total waste of money – I got this vacuum cleaner so I wouldn't have to take the big vacuum cleaner out to my car all the time. It took a few hours to be charged (green light on), took it out to my car and started. I found the cleaner to be TOTALLY USELESS. I went over the carpet numerous times and the only stuff it would pick up was very fine dust...and some fluff. Any… Read more

very small rocks that you could see...wouldn't budge...even bigger bits of fluff, nope. I put the vacuum to my cheek and couldn't feel any suction at all until it was touching - a very minor, weak suction. This unit is a total waste of money and is a rip off. Should not be allowed to be sold.

Absolute rubbish - Never again! – I used this product less than 10 times during a summer 2 years ago and it stopped working. I left it a little longer on the charger and still it did not work. I put it away thinking that I could get it going again in the future. I tried it today and it still does not work. I will never buy a kambrook product again!  Show details

Good design bad battery – I really like this handy vacuum but its two years old and the battery can barely last 1/10 of what it use to. I used to use it to do the car carpets but its waiting on the bench for me to crack open and see about replacing the batter. I would have thought it would last a bit longer than this as I only used it about once a week.  Show details

Suction a little weak – This works OK for clean ups but definitely can't pull much out of the carpet as its underpowered in my opinion. It's better in the kitchen where we have tile - it can pick thing up there no worries but its pretty useless at cleaning the car carpet, It is easy to use and easy to empty, just a bit underpowered  Show details

Works well for the price – The flip tip works well once you realize it needs to be pushed in to work. It's quite powerful for how small it is. The filter section clogs very quickly, especially when cleaning up hair. But battery life seems good for two minute spot cleaning. Many other reviews here seem to expect too much for $49AUD Its designed for spot cleaning, not to clean the whole house.  Show details

Battery Didn't Last – I was pleased to get this for the kitchen because I often end up with a lot of crumbs due to eating and doing other things at the same time. At first it was good for picking up crumbs. Good not excellent because it doesn't have that much power but it worked OK. Fast forward six months and the battery just doesn't hold a change. Piece of junk – Low suction, poor battery life and wall mounting is flimsy rubbish. I threw away the screws that came in the packet and used some descent ones that finally held it to the wall. The felt tip came off on the first use. Save your money, this product is low grade rubbish.  Show details

The worst handheld vacuum I've bought – Short battery life. Like 2 minutes into vacuuming the power is so low it makes zero suction. Like it can't even suck up a staple. And dust actually flows out some where. The brush was useless too. Difficult to clean. Bulky and heavy. Wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this. Save your money  Show details

Unbelievably bad. How can they sell this rubbish? – Almost zero suction. Can't believe I threw away the receipt before testing it :( Worst $50 I ever spent. That'll teach me to not do my research!! And apparently there's a 50 word minimum for posting a review. Where do I leave a bad review for that?! blah blah 50! EDIT: this site asked me to post my receipt to verify my purchase, so I went and looked and I DO still have it! Yay! Ha ha, I take back my bad review for this site :) :) :)  Show details

Underwhelming – Paid $50 for this machine just recently (even though it says "discontinued" why would it still be available in the supermarket down the road? It's main flaw is that it has no suction, as I have thrown out the receipt and box I wonder if the shop will take it back? I should have read some reviews!  Show details

Bad suction not worth it – Bought to be used in car primarily. Bad item no suction at all. Suction area is small too. Tried on carpet too same story. Dont buy save yourself some money. Charging mechanism is bit wierd too bit complicated rather than just pluging the wire. Really Terrible product for any flooring.  Show details

Waste of money – I bought this to clean my car as I don't have a power point in the garage it took 1.5 hours to charge however the suction is virtually non-existent, I thought something was wrong no it's useless. Kambrook should be prosecuted by the ACCC for consumer fraud – Suction is virtually non-existent - it took this piece of junk 3 full charges and about 1.5 hours to remove 2 cups of dry sugar from a pocket in my car. I would have been better off sucking it out with a drinking straw. I can't believe that Australia's Consumer Protection laws allow this product to be sold.  Show details

Absolute junk – Bought from Big W . Bought a brand name to avoid getting junk.but It's the most useless 12volt vacuum cleaner I've ever used and we have had a few. You can even breath quite happily against the supposed suction ! It's more a fan than a vacuum cleaner. Very unhappy with this product I think it's bordering on consumer fraud to call it a vacuum cleaner.  Show details

Poor – Left the unit to charge to full capacity before using it. It barely had any suction for just basic crumbs unless the opening was placed directly on top of the particles. On top of that, the battery died within 5 minutes of use and had to be placed on charge again.  Show details

full on. Its tricky but is now workable beside not knowing if fully charged. The suction however is weak but ideal on a very detailed model railway. Will live with it if no more problems, i find the flip tip ideal, must use the lock button to hold it in a fixed extended position.

Urghhhhhhh – So I bought this for the mrs for a Christmas present, and I thought that's a good price for a Kambrook model. Well you get what you pay for it seems. Poor design and construction – The button holding the flip nozzle in place fell off the first day. The flip tip nozzle is not stable and moves up and down rendering it's use impossible. It works well enough – For a car vacuum cleaner and the price it works alright. I still haven't used it a lot yet. I have used other name car vacuums. The only way you will do a good clean is with a household vacuum cleaner. It depends on how much dirt etc you are trying to suck up.  Show details

Poor quality. Died just out of warranty – Kambrook used to make pretty good stuff. Not any more it seems. This is a really poor device. The suction is almost non-existent; the design is terrible for small places; the filter falls out of place; it's hard to put on the wall bracket, and worse coming off. I wouldn't normally have bothered to let people know how terrible this cleaner is,… Read more

but when it finally died just a month after the warranty ended, that was the last straw. Paid almost $70 for this useless piece of junk. That'll be the last cent Kambrook ever gets out of me.

Please save your money – I would recommend other potential buyers not to purchase this unit. The unit is a complete waste of money and resources; takes along time to charge, suction is terrible and the flip tip snapped of easily. The unit was brought for small surface areas for example to simply suck up the dust on a lounge. We have called the Kambrook customer line… Read more

whose response was to take it back to the retailer which we are now doing. It was also observed that the customer service officer did not offer to take down a complaint which could have helped with Kambrook's improvement in its design and delivery of products.

New purchase – I bought one this morning Cost 59.00 at our local Betta Electrical. I thought the price was okay esp.for a brand like Kambrook and not some obscure no name company; till I saw one in our local Woolies this afternoon- $10 cheaper? okay but I was happy to go over the couch a couple of times to get it clean. No problems with the noise.I had a porta-vac a few years ago, cant remember the brand It was extra-ordinarily powerful but too noisey to use even for a couple of minutes.

Was the KHV2000 light and maneuverable yes.

Was the suction good/ I would say average

Terrible – Absolutely terrible. As other reviews have said. Takes ages to charge, heavy, has a useless nozzle which does not seal and is therefore useless. Terrible suction. Complete waste of money. What a piece of rubbish. Sure it was cheap but what's the point if it does nothing. I'm chucking out – It's rubbish on any area. It has no power. It's heavy. The flip over nozzle is useless and difficult to flip (takes two hands). The flip over nozzle doesn't seal against ananything so it is useless. This vacuum spits whatever dust it does pick up back in your face. What a waste of $60.

Wasted my money – I should have read the reviews first. My 86 year old mother asked my daughter to buy her a dust buster and she (daughter) chose this one for about $70. It's absolutely useless, I tried to vacuum mum's car with it this morning but couldn't pick up anything at all. I can't work out why Kambrook keep selling them. Next step will be customer servicing.
