Hasn't even lasted one use – I was looking forward to receiving this appliance which arrived last week. Used it once and the timer doesn't switch the unit off - gets stuck at 3 minutes and stays there. Veggies steamed to a pulp. So obviously not very happy, and combined with the poor service at the Good Guys not bothered to take it back. Show details
Works fast – Well this thing wont overload your home power with a 700 watts heating element, just dont forget to fill it... It heats quickly and does a good job, its a good idea to think about placement of products to keep the steam moving around. The only thing is that the base is shallow and very easy to burn yourself if you want to use the steam water for… Read more
something after cooking. So you have to let it cool down a bit which sounds obvious, but I would have liked a pouring spout added to the base. Its a good product though.
kambrook ezi steam – Absolutely love it! I've had 2 now and want to buy another for my son, but woolworths don't sell them anymore. I like mine because it's not too big. It's easy to clean, and I don't have to worry about the veggies boiling dry. I cook salmon in mine. Just place it in the plastic container, the one without any holes, and it steams wonderfully.Couldn't live without it. Also they only cost $40.00 +. Not sure how much they cost now.
Don't know how I've lived without it – Very successful from first use. Hope it continues to do the job. Was on special and thought I'd "give it a go" and aren't I pleased I did. Works just so well and couldn't be happier. Even think veges. taste better and so simple to use. Just a shame it can't go in dishwasher. Inexpensive.
Very impressive little unit – I bought the Ezy-steam on special at Woolworths. First attempt was not that great - I didn't allow enough time to cook everything and should have used more water at the start , The trick is to cut things into small pieces and don't rush it. Second attempt was tremendous, potatoes and carrots were fully cooked. Very easy to use and clean The included recipe book is very ordinary, skims over the basics to tell me how to cook octopus?
Value appliance – Cheap, does the job, and most compact steamer I can find. I've had two of these in the last 10 years....only replaced because the top lid cracked. I put mine in the dishwasher, which they say not to...and that's probably why after 5 years each, the lid cracked and I had to replace it. Otherwise, works really well. Cooks rice well - just a cup… Read more
of rice, add 1 and a half water in the rice bowl, and cook for 40 minutes or so. Easy. Kids and hubby prefer steamed vegies out of this to the microwave. I've made cake/ dim sims etc in it to at times...all works well. Reliable, cheap, easy to use. Wish the lid was sturdy enough to be dishwasher safe for longer.
Awesome – I use this most days, makes meals much easier. Typically cook sliced potato's in the bottom part for half an hour, and with 10-12 mins to go add the second tier with the other veggies. No need to watch pots on the stove. I recently tried steaming a kilo of chicken tid-bits in this and they turned out awesome. Highly recommended product,… Read more
you can't go wrong. Cleanup is easy; when I'm done I chuck all the bits in the dishwasher and wipe out the unit itself (according to the instructions not supposed to dishwash but meh). Makes preparing simple meals easy
Excellent – i just love it and knowing i dont have to worry if the pot has boiled dry whilst my vegies or rice is cooking. i highly recommend it as a must buy product for the time poor person at an addordable price we brought ours from the local supermarket after recommended by a friend and seeing it in use. easy to use, just the turn of a knob and its on.… Read more · 1
Parts can be put in dishwasher and are very easy to . Not much bench space is required. rice cooks well and easily in the insert bowl that comes with the steamer nothing really
Good honest little product – this little guy is a star, I have had mine for about 7 years and it has never let me down, it is so old the numbers have worn off but I know all the numbers anyway. As I only eat veges I use it nearly every night, and it steams a cake like you would not believe (though if you don't cover it you will get a sticky top. I sometimes think about… Read more · 4
buying a newer and bigger one, but I feel disloyal, it will also boil eggs in their shell (it will take 20 minutes but at least you can walk away and not think about it).
Buy one and you won't be disappointed. reliable, inexpensive, doesn't take up lots of room
