This silver bullet could slay any traffic – My kymco is silver, so I've called her the silver bullet!!! I was gunna call her Vera ,(Vera Vibe) but I figured I'm daggy enough riding a scooter let alone on a daggily named scooter so the Silver Bullet it is!!!! I am a car driver (conservative honda accord driver) so being on 2x wheels for me was a HUGE change. LOVE this little beast. It has heaps of get up an go and zip. I ride it 1x weekly to work, some weeks 2x plus put about on the weekends!!!! I have slowly graduated to less back streets and more main streets as my confidence grows. I love the scoot, and spend most of my time when riding it, grinning like a maniac as it is just so much fun. You can't take yourself seriously on it, but just have to grin and smell the fossil fuels on the journey!!!!

What I like about the kymco vibe:

big tyres which equates to plenty of grip on the bitumen. (Hubs is an ex motor bike rider and is surprised at how much rubber contact they allow.)

High front head light so you can be seen easier in the rear vision mirror of the cars.

lights turns off when ignition is off so no flat batteries

stable ride

big seat

the usual fuel economy happiness that you would get out of a 50cc scoot

no need for a motor bike license

AMAZING warranty

Have a top box on the back, and seriously the groceries I can bring home. I've mms'ed photos of bags n bags of groceries that have come out of the belly of this little beast to friends n families who can't believe it really was all done in one run!!!!

OMG it has a little glove box which is the grooviest!!!

Stuff I'm not sure about the silver bullet:

Hubs has found it difficult to corner, but thinks this is a scooter issue more than kymco issue. I too find it a bit weird on the cornering, but know I'm a gumby rider, so won't rate that as an issue!!!

2 stroke, really didn't want a 2 stroke, but it was such a good deal and couldn't pass it up!

Dash board is very basic!!!

Colour choices are pretty basic.

I bought this 2nd hand with well under a 1000km on the clock, for $1200 including top box (which had never been fitted) + 6 months rego. Does 70 flat out but sits on 60 comfortably. The 2 stroke makes it zippy as, and when I first started on it, I used to near give myself whiplash (I have already stated I'm a gumby rider LOL) as it's take off was pretty savage. I'm much smoother now.

Have just this weekend had trouble starting it, and replaced the sparkplug and this has done the trick. Starts perfectly again. Every time. I like to let it warm up before heading off!

The main worst part about riding the bullet (but I think this is a scoot thing regardless of the brand) is the snearing looks you get from the "real 2 wheel riders" ie the motor bike riders.......... Luckily I'm high on the surrounding fumes and grinning and take no notice!!! Everything! this is so much fun, but the high headlight is a great safety feature + awesome warranty Spark plug awkward to get to
