Excellent - Very Reliable - Complete Office Solution – We had the Kyocera FC-C8020MFP for three years and it was perfect. A very reliable unit, it was ideal for our office it was our only Printer, Scanner, Copier, with excellent colour and B&W prints. The unit was easy to use with colour touch pad to help with any task you may wish to tackle. Scanning resolution was variable so we could boost up the clarity when required. We have now upgraded to a newer unit the Kyocera TASKalfa 4551ci as it has a few more finishing functions.
Worst business decision I have ever made – Had this thing for over a year now. Had the service guy out about 5 times. It wouldn't print PDF's properly & when he fixed that he screwed up the network. The scanner failed & when he fixed it he needed parts but in the mean time screwed up the print function, so I was without a printer or a scanner until the parts arrived. It doesn't like some files for some reason. Nothing but trouble. My $600 Brother was a better printer. And now the Adelaide Kyocera office no longer stocks the toner. Complete waste of $4,500.
Reliability, speed, selling organisation.

Print PDF files using a full featured PDF reader (eg. Acrobat Reader not the PDF viewer built into Firefox). Find the advanced options in the print dialog (not printer properties) to enable "Print as an image". This will force the computer to pre-render the page before sending pages to the printer instead of the default print behaviour of sending the PDF file as is to the printer for the printer to render. This method is slower and you may have to increase the "as image" resolution to 600dpi. This also fixes incompatible duplex and n-up printing options set in the printer properties but ignored by the default PDF printing method (PDF render by printer).
